Fiasco within the airport due to construction and directing patrons to wrong car rental location exasperated by non functioning shuttle request system, over capacity system mailbox, delayed shuttle transport due to time spent arguing with every customer. I purchased extra car insurance for my trip. When I picked up the car, I was informed that there was an extra $12/day charge for using someone else's insurance. Now that I have returned the car, there is another $30 charge on my credit card, I do not know what it is for. I would not book with Economy car rental again. Rental office offsite for pickup and returns. Shuttle was awful and waiting 30mins for pickup. Gave up on shuttle on drop off and walked. Staff seemed miserable and seemed to not want anything to do with customers. Likely one of the worst car booking experiencesReviewed 6 Sep. 2022

To reach the area for pick up is very complicated. Once you are in the pick up area and following instructions to call, no one answered! Long wait to get the car: very inefficient process! Car condition is poor. I have to switch three cars to get the blue tooth work. I rented cars in US, Canada and multiple European countries. This is the worst experience ever! Please don't rent any car from this platform or Economy company, was totally trapped by this platform or Economy company, here my story sharing with all potential customer. I rented the car under unlimited mileages which I filtered out from the web platform, and the confirmation indicated unlimited mileage sent through email, however when I was at the Pearson airport store to pick up my car, they told me that's a limited car with 200KM per day as I ma ontarion resident with Ontario driving license; I disagreed and showing the confirmation of unlimited, they told me thats the platforms problem, the showed the detailed terms and conditions on they found from another tab which was under a hidden bottom and most people don't open and read all, they blow me off and told me that's not the economy car service providers problem instead platforms problem and they don't mind, the service attitude was extreme bad and arrogant from the front desk people, they don't care and no negotiable on those mislead information, either take the term they advised at the front desk or leave. We waited 50 minutes to be picked up. Perhaps they were waiting for other folks to show up before sending the shuttle out. We were alone when we called but the place was crowded by the time they finally came. There wasn’t enough space on the shuttle for my kids when it finally came because there were so many other people. I had to leave them and the suitcases while I went to get the car and pick them up after. If you have your own insurance that covers rentals (credit card), they will charge you an additional 11.95 a day so after all was said and done, Economy was not a better deal than the other places. The staff seemed miserable working there. No smiles or friendliness at all. They were sufficiently professional but all seemed very unhappy to be there - from the shuttle drivers to the counter people I encountered coming and going.Reviewed 4 Aug. 2022

The car itself worked well for our purposes. I had scheduled to rent from 7am however upon arrival not only was the rental place not open, they would not send someone for the advertised airport shuttle until after 7. At pick-up the car was not clean/ready and had a dent in the back end. I waited 45 minutes to have it ready. I was also charged a mystery ‘insurance transfer fee of 11.95 daily which in my research does not exist. Upon drop off, they were going to charge me for the damage, however, I had taken pictures so they could not. I will never rent here againReviewed 27 Jul. 2022

The GPS was broken, and could not turn off. It kept rerouting to a fixed location, peeped all the time during 9 hours drive. Every time it peeped the music went quiet, then louder. So playing music was annoying.Reviewed 21 Jul. 2022
