Pros:Staff was friendly when we got to them, but note that in San Antonio, Payless doesn't have their own staff. They use AVIS staff.Cons:The wait to get the vehicle was ridiculous, it was unclear at first that we had to go to the Avis counter because there was NO ONE at the Payless counter.Reviewed 27 Apr. 2021

Pros:Agent at the counter was professional and courteous and was the only person who knew what she was doing.Cons:More employees, clear signs indicating where customers can be helped and much less wait. Option to cancel reservation.Reviewed 16 Apr. 2021

Cons:I reserved an economically efficient car because I own a truck and wanted to reduce gas mileage. When I picked up my car, they informed me that they didn’t have they type of car I reserved and gave me a truck. I informed them this was the whole reason I had reserved the car, was to save money.Reviewed 22 Jul. 2019

Pros:We were upgraded to a mini van, which was great for us.Cons:We had to use the Avis counter and the rep wasn't very familiar with getting us into our Payless car, so it took at least 20 minutes, maybe longer. Also, the rep said our credit card didn't go through, so then put it on our debit card. The charges on both had gone through, but ended up dropping offReviewed 11 Mar. 2019

Pros:Nothing.Cons:Some debris flew off another vehicle contacting the rental vehicle. They charged my CC 1,000 for the damages without my knowledge. After i call them, they claim they don’t never had a rental agreement with me or anything. I’m trying to get reimbursed from the other insurance agency that caused it.Reviewed 12 Feb. 2019
