Pros: We wanted to stay in downtown Richmond but the other hotels were very expensive. The hostel was perfect with a spacious room to ourselves and a private bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was simple and very clean.

Pros: We wanted to stay in downtown Richmond but the other hotels were very expensive. The hostel was perfect with a spacious room to ourselves and a private bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was simple and very clean.
Cons: The walls were a bit thin, you could hear every conversation in the hallway and every door that closed in the hall.

Cons: our room smelled?.... but not to the point of discomfort, got used to it eventually and wasn't a big deal. might have been just a "me" problem!

Cons: ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT IT IS ABOUT A MILE AWAY FROM WHERE WE LIKE TO GO FOR HAPPY HOUR AND DINNER. NOT BAD IN THE FALL AND WINTER BUT A HORROR SHOW WHEN IT IS 95 IN THE SUMMER.

Cons: I left a note with my tip near the coffee maker all 4 nights asking for tea bags, never got them. Also uses the hotel shampoo one night and it was not replaced the 3 nights after that. The two other 4 star hotels in neighborhood have room refrigerators.

Cons: I had no complaints! Travelers should be aware that there is no on-site parking but that is pretty standard for city hotels. They provide valet for a small charge.
