Car was given to me with fuel beeing empty. I realized it after I had left already. Front tires was borderline. Car had only 2000 miles left before oil service would have been required. We drove almost 3000.Reviewed 26 Aug. 2023

It was a nightmare. We had a 2 pm pickup. We got there at 2:15 pm and they said all cars were gone for the day to come back tomorrow or possibly in 7 hours. We were at the airport and trying to move on with the rest of our trip. After waiting a while, we ended up using Enterprise at the airport. How can we prepay and reserve a car if they don’t have it. In the span of an hour of us waiting, this happened to at least 30 other families too.Reviewed 12 Aug. 2023

Pickup experience was awful. They told me there was a 5 hour wait for my car, even though I had a reservation (other people had been waiting almost 6 hours). The people at the counter weren't really explaining what was going on at first. Since I was not prepared for the 6 hour wait I left to eat and get a power bank for my phone. I got back hours before my expected time but they implied they gave away my car because I wasn't there and had to start my wait again. Even though I had been there on time and they were the ones who were late. Also I had already paid! The absolute least they could have done was call me and alert me to return and held my car unless I did not. Overall I had to wait about 4.5 hours.Reviewed 24 Jul. 2023

Horrible. Upon arrival to pick up my rental I was told there was an hour wait which turned into 2 hours. At that point I cancelled my reservation and went to another car rental business that immediately provided me with a car. This was my first and last experience with Thrifty.Reviewed 15 Jul. 2023

I was in line to pickup a car when arriving at ATL for 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is unacceptable by any standard. After getting the car, I had to wait in another 20 minute line to leave the parking lot. This was on a Friday and yes, generally a high traffic day but that's a foreseeable condition by management and not a reason for the extreme lines. There has been almost no innovation in the ease of pickup of cars at rental car counters. I'm looking for a company that is willing to innovate and completely remake the process of renting a car. Got to thrifty to pick up the car I RESERVED and was turned away because they sold ALL the cars they had available. Absolutely atrocious and if we had prepaid we were still out of luck and had to spend even more money. Absolutely unacceptableReviewed 29 May 2023
