I didn't have a purse or any other item, just a backpack. I told them I had medication and they told me to just put it in my pockets. So I stashed my medicine in my pockets and had no room for my personal items or valuables. I had a hiking backpack with a water bottle in the side, and since they forced me to check the bag, my water bottle flew out of the pocket while it was being loaded onto the plane. Fortunately they at least tracked me down and brought my stainless steel water bottle to my seat. However, it wouldn't fit in the pocket in front of me and I had no other bag to store it in so I had to hold it and a few other belongings in my lap for the entire flight. I also had some other fragile items in my backpack that may or may not be okay. Also, when I boarded the plane, there was still space...there was no need to be so rude and force me to check a bag being used not only as my suitcase but as my purse as well. I'm so displeased with American, their staff, and their overall disorganization. How ridiculous."

Flight was cancelled on the departure day. We had to drive an extra 250 km to make it to another flight that was also cancelled. Finally booked on another flight that was also delayed was fine on all flight. Every delay because of technical issues. Horrible experience.

More delays and almost got diverted to another city. Didn't get set up for text notifications.

I liked the staff but the plane arrived late to Atlanta and when we landed in Montreal there was a plane already at the arrival gate causing me to miss my flight to London. This resulted in an extra stop in Lyon, France and the airline lost my bag. I arrived finally on the 15th of December and now it is currently the 19th and I still do not even know where my bag is after days of calling and tracking to find it.

Air Canada is a reputable airline, dedicated to supporting customers.

Seats are too close together. I'm 5'8" and could not sit comfortable the entire flight. I will not book Rouge again because of the leg room.

Like most Air Canada (AC) flights, it was delayed. And in this case, there were luggage problems. Somehow someone else's luggage got assigned to my ticket so that created some confusion but was easy to resolve and I ended up having a nice visit with the people who's luggage was attached to my ticket. This is touchy subject for me as AC has lost my luggage many times (or the airport, I'm just not certain who to point at as I don't know) In flight was pretty standard, one lady was wonderful and the rest seemed mediocre in comparison. We landed in Toronto and had to wait on our gate, then pulled into our gate and spent an additional 30 minutes waiting for a ramp to get off the plane. I don't know who was at fault here, Pearson's horrible organization and terrible management or if AC didn't plan to have it there. To do better, more attention in the bag drop process would be good. Then hold the airport accountable for the lost luggage (I'm looking at you Pearson from the time you sent my domestic flight luggage to Turkey).

Boarding was good. No snacks was a bummer and crew did not take up trash. When asked twice about ear plugs for movie no one came back with any. Nice to have movies offered free however if you aren’t able to listen to them not very good.

The entire boarding process was delayed by a half hour due to the ground crew not being present. The crew was occupied with getting coffee from Starbucks rather than getting on the plane on time. So the flight arrived almost an hour late in Montreal, making several connections virtually impossible. But Air Canada made up a different story in their updates to passengers. Plus there was no person there at the arrival gate to provide wheelchair assistance as promised.

After more than 24 hours stranded in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport due to power outage on Dec 17th, 2017, I was so relieved as I sat on my seat, when an air hostess asked if I would like a seat in business class. She said they randomly upgrade passengers to business class when seats are available. So it all ended well, I got home to Toronto safely in (business) class. Thank you Air Canada !"

Cons: "They lost my luggage on the way from Atlanta to North Bay. This was a expensive hunting trip that was planned in January with no return on the deposit. I got my bags on the day I was scheduled to leave. They had no way to track my bag and offered me $50. I had over $7000 of gear in the bag and I lost my $2600 deposit for the hunt. Not to mention the time a way from work where I just sat around in the bush doing nothing. On the way home, they lost my bag again. No one ever came to customer service desk and I had to call a number to India who was zero help. Terrible experience. Never fly Air Canada!!!!!"
Pros: "I was very impressed today when one of the airline stewardess went back into the Terminal waiting area to get a passenger's phone charge she left behind. We were all seated when the passenger noticed she had forgotten it and to her credit she walked back to the front of the plane to ask about retrieving the charge. She was particularly concerned because she had just bought it. She came back to her seat and was told they would see what they could do. To our surprise after the doors were closed, the stewardess came back to hand the passenger her charger. She was very grateful! Well done Air Canada."

Cons: "Small child violently kicked me seat the entire flight. I asked the parent (politely) to ask his son to stop but he didnt think he should have to. (They also thought it was fine for their toddler daugther to crawl into another sleeping passengers lap during flight. The crew was no help. I get that kids are kids but this was excessive. A crying baby would have been a welcone change. I think the crew should have stepped in."

Cons: "No entertainment at all, drop down tv's showed American Ninja, then the Mexican version of shark tank with no sound. No music or internet offered. Two sandwiches offered during the flight, bunwiches with meat and cheese. The poor woman behind us on the flight was vegan, nothing available for her. Limited drink service, no tea, just coffee with coffee whitener, a few choices of cold drinks and cheap beer. Pretty basic which I sort of understand as the flight was inexpensive, but it would be nice if they offered food for purchase on the flight, or maybe one could order food in advance. The flight attendants were a bit rude when asked questions as well. The check in process was very slow, not sure why, then when we headed to the gates, there was no gate assigned, when it was finally assigned it was changed as soon as we arrived at the gate, which meant a long walk from one end of the terminal to the other. I wouldn't have had a problem with any of the food issues if it had been spelled out on the web site. I really had no idea this was a super low budget airline and there would be nothing available to at least buy on the plane."

Security was ok, except the guy wanted to see everything inside my backpack. Ok, I've still got three hours time. I'll go and sit beside the Departure screen and wait for the gate number to appear, as they told me to do at check-in."
Cons: "The departure screens didn't update my flight. The combination of bad acoustics, very noisy air conditioning fan motor, poor microphone quality and poor microphone technique meant the PA system was unintelligible. The screens still didn't give me any gate info for my flight. Aha, now they are admitting there's a delay, I'll go and find an Interjet person and find out how long the delay will be. What do you mean the flight has departed?! Why did you not call me, or come to the departure hall and call my name? Unbelievable. Interjet insist that the check-in person should have explained to me that the screens were not to be trusted, but I don't remember that; I remember being told to go through Departures and wait for a gate number."
