Pros: "The flight never occurred. The first leg of my flight from Ho Chi Minh was cancelled and I was not informed. I discovered this when I went to check in. I called Kayak to resolve this since I had confirmation of the booking and was placed on hold. After 2 HOURS I hung up. At roughly 4:00 am I spoke with someone at Kayak who confirmed the flight was cancelled and that I was not contacted. An offer was made to put me on another flight a day later but that was impossible because of needing another Covid test. I was able to arrange another flight that was more expensive."

Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable."

The entire flight was very comfortable and made the 9 hour journey from Manchester to Houston Texas fast and enjoyable. The flight attendants always had a wonderful smile which felt genuine many a time and always made an effort to speak at the level of the passenger. When I had trouble connecting to the Wifi, one attendant even knelt down and connected my phone manually as I was not tech savvy in this regard. The food was of much higher quality as well compared to other airlines I traveled with on this trip."

Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

The crew were top notch making sure that even the economy travelers like myself were very well taken care of, comforted and if asleep leaving notes to contact them for a meal set aside. I cannot say enough good things about EVA. Every airline could learn from EVA's attention to customer needs."

Pros: "Me & my wife were on Premium Economy. This was a connecting flight to Manila from Vancouver Canada. The food served was not visually appealing and very lacking in taste. The food can be improved for this sector. The food was a very far cry from EVA Air flight also on Premium Economy. Before this flight we took we took BR9 from Vancouver Canada. The Ground Agent at the boarding gate wanted us to check-in our carry-on baggage which was well within the measurements specified in the EVA Air website (23x36x56cm). My wife and I had only one carry-on each. The reason given the flight was full. I did not understand this since I could see there were lots of passengers who had carry-on baggage larger than the 23x36x56cm and more than one piece carry-on. Not sure why this female Ground Agent picked on us when there were lots more violations within her sight. Also, she was rude when we refused. Once inside the aircraft with all passengers boarded, there were lots of empty bins for carry-on baggage. The more I was not happy about this Ground Agent picking on our carry-on baggage. The more I did not understand why!"
Cons: "This is my wife & I flying with EVA Air. My wife and I have travelled with many international and domestic airlines for 38 years now since we started travelling. I’d recommend EVA Air’s Premium Economy. The seats were wider and leg room was excellent. The amenities were great especially the entertainment part. TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad."

The service was great from the seemingly effortless takeoff and landing by the pilots to the flight attendants being very efficient and caring. The ambient temperature of the cabin was great. I had a wonderful experience and when I return home I will not hesitate to book with EVA again for any of my international flight needs."
Cons: "It's not really even something that I didn't like because I know learning a second language is hard any way but every once in a while when the flight attendants made announcements they would either run English words together into one word or pronounce it a little wrong but I still could understand everything that they were saying. Cons: "First flight (to Istanbul) delayed, and nobody cared to help with making connecting flight booked on the same Turkish Airlines (THY)! Different THY employees sent me to three (3) different places (with two suitcases in hand) at opposite ends of the huge Istanbul airport before finally pointing to the Business Lounge and causing my missing the connection. Had they directed me correctly and cared about my first delay, I would not have missed it. I lost the first-night pay at the hotel of my final destination, my friends lost their time and money on making trips to pick me up, my ailing relatives were in pieces worrying about me, and so on. In sum, a fun trip (NOT!) ... If you care for some details, here you go... They did not inform their own connecting flight about my delay. Despite issuing me a boarding pass, nobody was looking for me or announcing where I should go. I spent an hour running around the airport at THY employees' misdirections. Business Lounge revealed I was already issued a ticket for next morning's flight (without informing me via my email they had or otherwise). I then looked at their own monitor and saw a much earlier flight the same night on a partner airline. I had to point to that flight, and they issued me a ticket there. No apology, no offer of any compensation. I understand that flights may delay, and I could forgive an honest mistake in misdirection. But this was a wide-spread incompetence and utter unwillingness to help their own business class (!) customer. I can only imagine what pains the economy travelers had to endure! Just to give you a flavor, after realizing that my connecting flight was boarding (when my delayed first flight arrived in Istanbul), I asked the crew to direct me to the best route to my connection. They pointed to the gate personnel. The gate personnel who greeted us DID NOT KNOW about my connection and sent me to the opposite side of the airport without notifying the connecting flight to wait for me. No help/transport was offered. When I made my way to the connecting gate with my luggage, the flight was gone. Nobody to be found from THY around the gate. A neighboring THY gate's employee directed me to the "Care Point" desk far away. A sizable line emerged there, with only two agents working it. I asked one of them if business class was served there. They said, "Yes, get in line, please". After 30 minutes in that line, I approached a "Care Point" agent (a cruel name for no-care-whatsoever service) who told me "You need to go to the business class desk upstairs. Economy only here!" No apology, no expression of concern, yelling "Next!" when I told her that I wasted 30 minutes of valuable time in line at their direction and would appreciate her doing something to help or making sure I reach the right person. Off to the "business desk" I go... another 15-min. run in a different direction with luggage in hand. That desk could not help either...ARGHH. Do I need to continue?.."

Pros: "There was upgrade special on our outbound flight at check in which we took advantage of so we were in business class flight from SFO to Istanbul. That was awesome experience - very comfortable fully reclining seats, gourmet food and drinks, impeccable service, wide entertainment selection, etc. Even on the shorter leg flights we took (i.e. Istanbul to Rome and Dubrovnik to Istanbul) they served food (light snack). We flew economy from Istanbul back to SFO but got exit row seats so plenty of leg room and seats reclined good amount. Again, great service, food and entertainment. All the flights we had on our itinerary were newer planes. Turkish Airlines is so much better than American airlines!"
