When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

They finally announced the flight would be delayed until 1330 then we saw the plane with fire engines on the ground. They then said flight delayed until 1500. The problem was there was no communication from them and lots of people in line to talk with them. Infact communication was seriously lacking and needs a lot of improvement. They finally announced that the flight was delayed until 2200. I finally stood in line to confirm that they had made other flight arrangements for us to get to SF, again they didn't communicate. We couldn't get another flight until 6/11/16 @ 1845 but they did provide lodging and 3 meals. We didn't mind the delay but they need serious on improving their communication with their passengers"

Delayed multiple times and then canceled.

The Gate (26C) at LaGuardia was outside. We had to walk in 30 Degree Farenheit weather outside and wait to be checked in. This was not a Delta policy, but the LaGuardia Airport is undergoing renovations. An Airport Shuttle to the plane would have been so much better!

Delta was on time and pleasantly professional.

KLM flight staff were very helpful and attentive. They had plenty of snacks available during the duration of the trip, the dinner and breakfast meals were tasty, the airplane was clean and each seat had a built-in video screen for entertainment purposes. I would definitely fly with this airline again.

It did not allow me to check in and left seats in advance or get a boarding pass. When specifically asked agent at gate for the row that had extra leg room, as my so. Is 6’4” she gives us a row where the seats do not even incline nor is there any extra room. Also the temp in Avon was high, making many passengers sweat Improve customer service !

Cons: "My registered luggage was sent LAX->MDE and i had a short change in MEX. Running out of the LAX->MEX plane, the crew the said: "don't forget to pick up your luggage".. and then all went pairshaped. One member of MEX staff claimed the baggage is going directly to destination, another said that it won't and i need to pick it up myself and do god knows what with it. LAX->MEX flight delayed by 30mins, 1hr change time. Everybody relaxed just me loosing all my boozy contraband as i had no choice but to put my registered luggage thru security."

The original ticket I bought was under $400. I was NOT happy with this at all - Kayak screwed me over and I expect compensation."

Will fly Delta going forward whenever I have a a chance (flew Southwest the rest of our trip - service, cleanliness, friendliness didn't compare)."

A smiling face showed up within minutes & asked if I wanted coffee. She told me that when she hears someone else say "no" that she thinks it should always be "yes". She was the African American flight attendant (wish I would have got her name). She brought me coffee, offered tylenol & checked in on me again later."

Poor selections on the movies. No charging stations in the seat. This plane was very noisy so I was really glad to have noise cancelling headphones. Very expensive to select seats as it was bought through a non-Delta site to get the desired connections."

Cons: "Whoa. That food was TERRIBLE. I'm usually lenient with free airplane food but wow, I don't even know what some of it was. I my second meal looked like fish and turned out to be pork (I think?). They also only came around with the beverage cart once in the 8 hour flight (just before our first meal); I had to ring my call button to get water. The plane was pretty dated as well. I've seen worse but the screens were dated and all of the movies were fairly depressing. First, I'd suggest a couple more comedy's or rom-coms. Even a couple extra family friendly cartoons would be preferable to all the war/drama/dark options. Second, I'd suggest having the movies on demand rather than play one after another where passengers have to scroll through channels and keep catching movies part way through. A simple solution would be to have WiFi and streaming on flights which was also not available. This should be expected with international flight and would allow for on demand movies and music rather than the dated system currently in place."

The food was ok - not terrible, not great. By the time they got to us (row 27), they didn’t have both meal options available. We took what we could get. And, all this after paying $1500 per person for our economy seats. I can fly LAX to Bali for 1/3 the price."

Cons: "Hard to board when everyone lines up and doesn't get out of the way for those to board whose seat numbers were called. The attendant started calling the next numbers before the first group had a chance to get through all the people waiting! You couldn't push thru the crowd because others in front of you were in the same predicament. People were asked to stay in their seats until their numbers were called but they didn't listen. We were an hour late taking off. Food was not very good and I'm not a picky eater. Rolls were hard as a rock and The eggs were uneatable. The lady in front of me reclined her seat all the way back and slept the whole flight so I was uncomfortable the whole way home and couldn't sleep. Her seat was resting on my knees. Very hard to eat off a tilted tray table. Seats very close together so hard to get to the remote."

Cons: "In comparison to the flight we took from LAX to PPT, this plane was ancient, and the technology was really lackluster. The tv screens were super old and the quality was very bad. My screen was completely fuzzy and striated.. The movies froze continuously, and you didn't have control over when you could play something. The magazine guide to what was playing didn't match what was playing. You needed to use the airplane headphones with a double jack because the plane was so old, and the headphones were super uncomfortable to wear in comparison to my own personal headphones. I ended up using my own headphones, but that meant that I only had sound in one ear. There was no USB port to charge your phone. It was just very disappointing considering the airplane going to my destination was more state of the art and comfortable, and I was expecting the same going back. For an 8 hour red eye, I was counting on being able to watch good movies. I tried to watch three different movies and couldn't watch any of them through completion because they froze midway through at some point and never restarted. Most of the movies were in French too even though our destination was LAX. Super disappointing. Especially considering how expensive the flight was. Also on the flight to PPT, they even gave you a Tempur-pedic pillow for your back which was so helpful in terms of overnight comfort. There was nothing like that on this flight. Also there were no temperature controls and I had cold air blowing on me the whole flight that I could do nothing about. Lastly the food schedule was strange in that for a midnight flight, they kept you up for another 1-1.5 hours to do a light dinner service. The food is appreciated but I think going to sleep right away is way more important. Seats are super tight also. Thank you."

I had said that I would not make that long trip without a first class ticket and followed through with this our recent trip. Although the ticket was quite expensive, it was worth every penny. Air Tahiti Nui really understands what "First Class" should be like -they pamper you! They deliver course after course of amazingly good quality food and more drinks than you can possibly consume. All of the flight attendants were sincerely interested in making sure we were all happy...a wonderful experience! darn worth the investment! highly recommended! And remember, this is just the lead-up to arriving in Tahiti; things will only get better when you disembark."

Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."

Cons: "Background info: we flew from Dublin to Toronto (Aer Lingus) and we were supposed to fly Toronto to Los Angeles on American Airlines; however, we had a British Airways flight number for both of these flights. We missed our connecting flight in Toronto with American Airlines (we had a 2 hour layover) despite landing on-time (de-boarded a few minutes late). I suggest avoiding the Toronto airport ALWAYS as every passenger must pick up his/her luggage even if you have a connecting flight, and then re-check the baggage with the next flight. Apparently the baggage handlers were on strike and some of the customs agents as well which added to the delays. Well, after going through Canadian customs and picking up our luggage (which took quite awhile) we arrived at the American Airlines ticketing kiosk about 45 minutes before our flight. The computer told us we were too late for this flight and to see a representative. We proceeded to wait in line for an American Airlines representative only to be told this was Aer Lingus' fault (we had just flown with them); even though we had a BA flight number.. After searching for an Aer Lingus representative we were finally told they were probably all on the Aer Lingus flight that was currently about to leave. An Aer Lingus representative was paged to the ticketing counter (took well over 30 minutes for anyone to show up) and what proceeded was an argument (for well over an hour) between British Airways and Aer Lingus representatives about whose responsibility it was to re-book us. After an hour at least of poor customer service, we were finally rebooked by British Airways on the last flight to LAX (on Air Canada). Moral of the story: avoid Toronto and fly direct."

This flight was with BA partner American Airlines"
