Once they moved me to Alan they couldn’t check me in and send me back to Avianca, during that process they lost my suitcases. I arrived to Orlando with no clue where my suitcases where and I was traveling g with to young kids. Although I recovered my suitcases I haven’t heard a follow up."

For example, I was forced to put "MariaAlejandra" as the first name instead of "Maria Alejandra". I had to call the airlines and go through a hassle to ensure there will be no problems boarding the plan because of this minor name difference."

Whole reason, I booked a earlier flight so I can get to spend time in Lima but Avianca airlines changed the connecting flight from Bogata from 125pm flight to 330pm flight. I paid additional $250/ticket to get these tickets so I can get to Lima earlier than 7pmso that my wife and I can enjoy our honeymoon. I am very disappointed that airlines decided to switch flights without our approval. We did reach to Bogota at 1155am and we even tried to catch the 125pm flight from Bogota to Lima. but the staff was not helpful at all. All they kept on saying, “sorry nothing can be done, go file a complain”. Are you kidding me by saying that to your client, “go file a complaint”, instead of assisting. I guess Avianca airlines crew needs to learn about hospitality and customer service. NO AIRLINE MAKES Involuntary CHANGES with out notifying customers. Even on United Airlines, they don’t change flights with out informing customers."

They paid little attention e.g. To people who did respect instructions concerning fastening the seat belts orcto remain seated during landing, etc."

It's not discrimination but we all have rights and it´s unaceptable that I had to flight 10 hours with a kid crying behind my ear. Other suggestion is that you should enable the possibility to upgrade to upper class when the flight is empty once you´re in the airplane."
Cons: "A delayed flight from Santa Marta to Bogota due to bad weather in Bogota. Surprisingly, the connecting flight to New York left on time of course. Also it was drizzling on arrival to Bogota. I still suspicious that they blamed for rain to cover up their mechanical/ management issues or they intentionally delayed our flight so we can miss the flight to New York which they over booked and cut their loss. Anyway, I needed to arrange a hotel myself and Aviance claimed it was solely due to bad weather. I got what I paid for. Their rate was lower for the risk of their disorganized service and possible dishonesty. Or it can be really bad weather earlier. But one of UK passenger told me her daughter couple was in Santa Marta a few weeks ago and they went through the exact same issue. They might be unlucky family members go through the same rare situations. Now I got why Avianca gets bad reviews."

Cons: "In Barranquilla I was questioned as to why I was requesting a wheelchair and were asking for the condition tht required the wheelchir, as if they had the medical knowledge to be able to make that decision... it was notably embarrassing to discuss my medical condition at the check in counter in front of dozens of people as well as being challenged by the check in crew as to if i needed a chair or not....finally a supervisor appeared and authorized the chair..."

I thought I had bought my ticket thru delta and turns out is was with aeromexico, delta has no weight limit on carry on luggage and aeromexico does, i received an email from delta airlines for me to check in so i look at their luggage policy on carry on and when i arrived at the airport i had to go to aeromexico counter to check in one luggage and turns out i also had to pay for my carry on luggage becouse it exceded aeromexico carry on weight policy which i didn’t fully agree but ended up paying anyways"

The biggest problems don’t show up in the numerical rating above, but there were: — problems with web checkin (it didn’t work until ~15 hours before the flight), — problems at baggage check (non working printer = nonmoving line), — the flight was delayed and the gate was changed at the time of boarding (which we learned because we received an email from Kayak(!) as we were standing at the gate, NOT AeroMexico, who delayed in changing the sign & then didn’t make an audible gate-change announcement), — possibly because of the gate-change and a late-arriving flight, our bags were not put on the flight with us. — I am particularly irked because we had to pay extra in order to be able to sit with our young children, and were supposed to get priority boarding along with that, but instead ended up in the last boarding group (thank goodness we were still able to fit our one carryon suitcase)."

We paid for our checked bags and printed boarding passes at home, but when we got to the airport there was only one line, so we still had to wait to check our bags. In addition the check-in agent had no record of me paying for my checked bags at home, so I had to pay again at the counter and now I have to check with my bank to see how many times I was charged."

Cons: "We had the earliest flight (6:40 am) and the airport crew didn't open the airport until 5 am. It took a while to get the airport ready for passengers. We had already waited for an hour. I thought it was unusual to ask us to zip tie the locks on all our bags and add a special tag for each carry-on bag. At Mexico City, it took 23 minutes before a Tram arrived to take us to the terminal. I found it interesting that Delta had jet-ways for their planes."

Super delayed causing us to miss our connecting flights.

I would never book with Kayak or Chatdeal again. I bought tickets for British Airways and I’m flying Finnair from Venice to San Francisco on our return leg.

Flight was canceled

Due to previous flight not getting to Dallas until two hours after it should have, I missed my connecting flight. Then I was on standby for last flight out for the night. Originally I was 6th on standby list, but by time it came to board I was 14th on list somehow. When boarding I was last to be able to board and was walking towards the plane when someone with ticket showed up very late causing me to get booted from flight. I ended up having to stay the night in Dallas and hope to get on the next days flights as a standby passenger. Worst travel situation in quite a long time.

There is no food or alcohol allowed to be served on the flight.

Poor service

Cons: "The flight was packed there was no separation of people for the convir 19 the seats were very close together my knees were touching the seat in front of me"
Cons: "American airlines oversold and that caused us to start late. The seats are too small for 2 adults to sit next to each other. 1/2 the people wore masks. when we arrived we sat on the taxiway for an hour"

Many Passengers in the last rows put their bags up by row 20 so that made boarding and disembarking slower and harder as we had to go forward extra rows to use the back empty bins and then fight against traffic to get back to our seats. Passing bags up when leaving or waiting to"

Compare to other airlines very uncomfortable and they made me check in my carry on bag to charge $60 so disappointed I been taking this carry on for long time no other airline ever made me do that will not recommend"

Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Also, the food and drink options do not compare to British Airways who we originally purchased our tickets from. All alcohol is free with BA."
Pros: "An elderly lady sitting next to me with a broken arm.....was approached by the flight attendant and the flight attendant was so considerate that she took the lady to the empty seat in first class!!! I noticed this kind gesture and noted it to the flight attendant. She told me sometimes folks get upset asking why they did not get the upgrade! It amazes me....I always think if that were my mother how would I want to be treated!!! CUDOS to this Flight attendant....Thank you AA for making this gesture and God Bless you all!"

Cons: "Flight from Calgary to Denver delayed three and half hours. Informed of this delay thirty minutes before scheduled departure when our plane hadn’t even left Denver yet to head to Calgary. ( 2.5 hr flight) once finally made it to Denver was informed that we missed connecting flight to Boston. We were then informed since it’s for “weather” reasons earlier in the day that caused a sequence of delays they couldn’t accommodate us for hotel. We were given two “blankets” which were as thin as a sheet and each one bottle of water. Some other people around us received good voucherS. We did not. We walked around the airport for close to an hour looking for anyplace we could lay down and sleep. None were to be found. We tried to sleep on the floor but was so cold and uncomfortable I literally got sick to my stomach. Another fun thing added to mix. We were placed on another flight as 6 the next morning. After no sleeping at all we boarded our next flight Which was not a direct flight to Boston but would be from Denver to Newark then Newark to Boston. We were suppose to originally land in Boston at 0600 Monday. Instead we arrived at 1430 after getting zero sleep. My husband and I were also unable to sit together which was extra special for people around me because after not sleeping I continued to be sick to my stomach."

Pros: "It was a bit less expensive at first, but the charges added up quickly. My only complaint really is that the booking was through Air Canada and the flight was operated through United Airlines. It wasn’t a problem for me but if you only have a Visa debit card and want to pay for checked bags online, this is not possible to do online prior to checking in. You also can’t check in to your flight as you would normally, you get the last available seats and have to pay for any seat changes. All in all, I’d still book through Kayak but I’d make sure that the flight I booked was through the company that operates the flights. It’s will give you more options when checking in to the flight."

It wasn't my fault or the people's fault, but an unfortunate chain of circumstances. And United personnel helped me deal with so many challenges and went above and beyond their duty. On the trip to Calgary my flights were delayed, I was denied boarding or the flight was canceled. It took me 3 days to get to my destination and this happened after I arrived 4 hours in advance for every flight, but the first one. I did everything I could in my power, but my best was not good enough. And so when my rental car broke down two hours before my departure, and I failed to start it, I took a cab to YYC and hoped for the best. And United didn't disappoint. They listened to me, respected me and tried to help me as much as they could. My leg cramped and I was not able to cross the hallway to the flight, just as the boarding was starting. The board agents called the wheelchair, walked over to me and tried to calm me down, just as they were wrapping up boarding. They then checked my luggage and held me by the hand all the way to the airplane,"
Cons: "Once again, the agents did the best they could given a set of highly unusual circumstances. Yet the flight was one hour late for a very predictable reason. In the winter it snows in Calgary. You have to de-ice the plane. This takes time. Yet, the airline treated snow as emergency and didn't allow time for that. One hour delay stressed a lot of people out and canceled their plans. Do allow for more time for travel in the winter. It is cost effective and leaves customers happier."

Pros: "Nothing about 9 HOURS in an Airport is great! I walked from where I landed coming from Calgary, to terminal 2 Gate F 17 because that was where the flight to Lexington was to leave from. Then I got notice it was leaving from terminal 1 Gate B 24 so (I'm sure I walked a mile there) to get there. Waited for a number of hours checked my phone and found the departure was back again at terminal 1 Gate F 17!?!?! So I walked another mile back to where I started. At no point was I offered a drink or meal voucher for the 9 hour delay/inconvenience in my flight to Lexington ky. Suffice to say that I will NEVER go on any flight if I have to go back through this airport. I also have horrible knees, which all the walking did not help."
Cons: "I would like to say that as a person with a disability, there is not any support for help getting around. They have plenty of for lack of a better term "golf carts"; but no one utilizing them. Not that I am a world traveler; but this airport could take more than a page from Calgary international in terms of support to those with disabilities. I will NEVER and I do mean NEVER go through something like this again. I expected to be home in Lexington at 5:00pm and did NOT arrive until midnight.??!! This is in my opinion quite unacceptable! Cons: "Process for customs was not well explained (where/how to meet up with bags for customs process). We went through customs on the second leg of the flight with barely enough time to get through customs and then back through security at the Calgary airport. Our flight had been unilaterally changed by the airline due to too tight a connection but the new flight (much less convenient, had to get up at 3:00 am) was as bad or worse. We would have missed our connecting flight if it had not been delayed due to weather at our destination."
