Cons: "Entertainment only available for purchase with a tablet rental. Corners of the floor were a little dirty."
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Cons: "We were delayed for several hours. I could’ve and should’ve driven to Toronto because I would’ve made it there a lot quicker. The crew members were rude and clearly unhappy to be working. None of them were accommodating. It was a very unpleasant way to start my trip."
Pros: "Comfortable aircraft with enough room for an average person. I like the Embraer 190."
Cons: "Unspecified maintenance issue seemed to manufactured to allow the gate crew to get off the hook for shortfalls."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Cons: "The way I was treated upon my landing in Toronto. When I missed my flight I had to stay at the airport from 10:30pm until 9:30am and there was nothing offered. No place to sleep or any compensation for food. I spoke with others that had food vouchers and others got toiletries. I'm not impressed."
Pros: "Boarding was easy"
Cons: "This was a +10 hour trans Atlantic flight. We walked on and immediately noticed there were no TV screens. I expected that the crew would be handing out portable screens instead which would have been ok but pretty inconvenient. This was not the case. We asked the crew and were told that to have entertainment for the flight we would have to download the Air Canada flight into our OWN devices and connect to the airplane wifi. They also explained that you can't download the app while connected to the airplane wifi so anyone who wanted entertainment had to scramble to download the app while we were still on the ground and Use cellular data! at this point 300 people were either panicking because they didn't have a personal device with them, didn't have a charger for their device and so would have power issues or were forced to use up roaming data because they had non Canadian phone plans!!! At the very least staff should have told passengers about this setup while they were waiting at the gate, so that people would have time to download the app with airport wifi! add to all this the fact that the app was extremely low quality and the options for movies/show were disappointingly dated and limited. This was not officially a cheap low cost flight for my family but the service we got certainly would categorize it as such. Very disappointed."
Pros: "These were all LH code shares with Air Canada. Checkin and boarding at CDG 2A is the best you can do there. Only a short walk from checkin thru immigration and security to the gate. Also Air Canada checked my bag to HNL. There were US immigration and customs, small scale and quick, in Vancouver but no requirement for baggage inspection unlike awful LAX. For future trips between HNL and Europe, I am flying Air Canada via Canada."
Cons: "White wine was room temp."
Cons: "One hour late"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "The flight was late."
Cons: "Lost luggage"
Cons: "When checking in, the flight attendant randomly checked sizes of carry-on baggage and forced us to pay extra to check a clearly carry on sized bag, which we have used on at least 50 flights previously as a carry on without ever an issue. On the flight, there were countless carry on bags clearly larger than ours which were allowed on the flight. We soon realized there was not enough room for all the carry on baggage and so they randomly chose us to pay extra since baggage would have to be checked anyways. It was unfair, biased, and classless. Shame on you Air Canada."
Cons: "I could not travel due to the fact that Im pregnant and it is of really high risk and the airline did not help me. I lost my money and could not even get a credit to travel later."
Pros: "Great service"
Cons: "They changed our chosen seats so we had to sit in the middle. No complimentary food or snacks served on a 5 hour flight. It would have been good to know that ahead of time so we could have brought something to eat for lunch."
Pros: "I can't say there is much in the way of customer service provided during this entire flight."
Cons: "They wouldn't let us upgrade even though there is tons of empty seats in first class, and the flight crew wouldn't even make eye contact or answer call lights the entire flight! Was one of my worst experiences with Air Canada."
Cons: "4.5 hour delay. 30 mins to try and use a voucher (???)"
Pros: "The cost is to high especially not coming with a meal"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Cons: "Leg room is insanely tight. Sure i'm 6ft but this is the first time I felt my legs were swollen when I finally stood up to deplane."
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Cons: "On both outbound and inbound trips (connecting with international flights) the flight was late. Both times the door was closed and then they informed us of the delay. I understand that smaller planes often get bumped, but on the outbound leg, a 20 minute delay on the tarmac and then not allowing us to deplane for another 15 minutes meant I missed the connecting flight."
Pros: "Food was not included in a 5 1/2 hour flight. Which it should be."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "Flights were on time and all flight staff very nice and courteous. Planes were clean."
Cons: "On rerun fights had delays leaving. The flight from Toronto to Columbus did not have a bathroom to use Had used trash in the seat pockets on all flights. On the flight from Toronto was sitting by emergency exit door and flight attendant said to read the instructions located I seat pocket but there were none ."
Pros: "That this flight wasn't as bad as the rest of my trip with them."
Cons: "no room , overpriced, poor entertainment, old plane, dirty bathroom, no personal fan/ air vent, so so food."
Pros: "Served edible food (not the best quality)"
Cons: "Uncomfortable; No source of entertainment; No functional charging ports; charges for snacks; some staff seemed rude"
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Cons: "Delays, multiple gate changes, poor waiting areas for express flights!!!"
Cons: "Cancelling flights , lying about reasons why, running away from customers when the flight finally after 10 hours was canceled"
Pros: "Our flight attendant, Aaron, was wonderful"
Cons: "Everything else was awful....I was taking an international flights, so arrived at the airport 3 hours early, as specified. There was no attendant at the desk until 1.45 hours prior to boarding. We almost missed the flight, and as a result, the connection to London. If possible, I will not fly air Canada again"
Pros: "The flight attendants were awesome. Specifically the black lady with short hair, I don't remember her name but she was fantastic and super down to earth."
Pros: "Staff was friendly, Pilot was informative"
Cons: "Seats, Trays and bathrooms were disgusting. My tray had food on it, was sticky, had coffee stains... i didnt want to use it. Bathroom was disgusting, even at begining of flight. Seat was dirty and worn out."
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Pros: "Boarding and customs were fine, and the crew was pleasant"
Cons: "Way too little food for the flight. My teenage daughter was starving by the time we got to London. If you are flying Air Canada, bring along extra food/snacks."
Cons: "I miss individual entertainment screens for such a long flight."
Pros: "Got there safely. Smooth ride. Clear night. Great views."
Cons: "It was fine. It was a night flight on a very full plane so of course very hard to sleep in the chairs but not the airlines fault. Staff were busy with the volume of people but did a fine job."
Pros: "Flights were on time"
Cons: "Very poor service. Staff a little weird and not helpfull at all."
Pros: "Smooth landing."
Cons: "This expensive Airline is actually very cheap. You have to pay extra for everything. I don't mine to pay for good food, but this is terrible. In 5.5 hrs no entertainment at all. Crew is dressed in ugly uniforms. No duty free shopping. Dirty, broken, uncomfortable seats. Our flight was purchased 6 months ahead of time to be sure we fit into specific time in Christmas season. But AC changed scheadule 5 times before our flight."
Cons: "Another delay, minimal update. For older passengers this is difficult to understand whats being announced."
Pros: "The friendly service."
Cons: "When my baggage arrived a zippered pocket was open and a an antique compass that my father (who just passed away) left me was taken. I contacted Air Canada who said that they couldn't do anything about it, they only allow claims for lost baggage. I was heartbroken, and there is nothing Air Canada can do about securing passengers baggage from thieves. Very disappointed with the lack of support with this issue."
