Great flight, arrived early.....perfect

Pros: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."
Pros: "I don’t usually complain, but this was probably my least comfortable flight. Not much that I liked about the flight."
Cons: "Compensation or at least an apology for tv screen and air conditioning not working. The flight was hot and boring."
Cons: "Attendee is very rude."
Pros: "Most of the flight there was strong odor of suer smell"
Cons: "This was a direct flight from DFW to Vancouver. 3.5 hours. Upon arrival in Vancouver we were paged to baggage claim and informed that our bags were taken off the plane and would arrive later in the night. Problem was, we were leaving on a cruise at 4:30PM. Our bags had two cruise luggage tags on each bag. When our bags were delivered to us 2.5 days later in Ketchikan, Alaska - The cruise tags had been torn off our bags. There were a minimum of 8 vacant seats and corresponding luggage not on this plane. I believe Air Canada had a chance to load more cargo and removed our luggage to make more room for the cargo. I will never fly this airline again. I had nothing good to say to anyone on our cruise regarding this airline. Terrible passenger service. The guest services said that 16 bags were delivered in Ketchikan from Air Canada."
Pros: "Around $700 air fair for round trip flight to Asia is a good deal."
Cons: "The flights between Vancouver and Dallas are small and tight, very uncomfortable. Normal carry on csn not fit into overhead bins."
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Pros: "The flights went smoothly overall. The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The movie selection on the tv was limited."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Pros: "The crew was exceptionallly good. They knew the passengers were annoyed because of the delay in takeoff and they made it up to us with Extra care and attention. Very pleasant people"
Cons: "The flight was about 40 minutes late taking off."
Pros: "The ease of boarding the plane and the crew wa attentive and pleasant."
Cons: "Food was not great, but was edible. Leg room was not as good on the long flight as the shorter connector."
Pros: "I didn't really care for to much, I was just thankful I made it safely!"
Cons: "By far the WORST experience I have ever had flying international as well as the most costly due to flight changes and delays with your airline.I WILL NEVER fly air Canada again!!!!!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Getting charged Air Canada rates for Air Canada Rouge comforts. 9 plus hours with zero entertainment. Basically stealing money. If this is the service offered should be at cheapo airlines price."
Pros: "No water in washroom No coffee , Coffee machine do not work Food is for purchase and the whole menu is not available except one item only crew are not friendly No head phones for entertainment I will NOT fly with Air Canada again unless I am forecd to do so"
Cons: "Crew did not seem to want to do anything extra. Movies seem to be out of date. Unpopular TV shows. A little cramped seating. I paid for a premium seat, no real difference I could tell."
Cons: "One hour late"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "Plane was quite comfortable for a smaller model."
Cons: "Entertainment system was difficult to use as touch screen only worked accurately 1 out of every 4 times. Only food offered was a tiny bag of pretzels."
Pros: "Flight was delayed leaving Dallas due to crew members arrived late."
Cons: "The flight was late."
Pros: "Short and easy checkin"
Cons: "Delayed flight"
Pros: "Everything else."
Cons: "Connecting flight was cancelled (still in toronto now) and confusion over the boarding pass made me think it was another 24 hours til we flew out."
Pros: "There was no outstanding feature to mention."
Cons: "The delay, but not a big deal."
Pros: "Good service hassle free"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Pros: "Pathetic service"
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Pros: "I like the prompt service by Air Csnada ticketing at DFW . I got immediate attention and wheelchair staff was very gentle and friendly. Very smooth process passed TSA."
Cons: "When arriving YYZ, don't mind to be the last passenger to get off, but I was waiting inside the plane for wheelchair about 30 mins after everyone has gone. Perhaps the staff should be managed better the timing. Lucky yyz is my destination, otherwise i would have missed the connecting flight. Waiting for 30 mins is too long. Also the staff stopped for another 10 m in ns to take care of something else. I thought one staff should only take care of one passenger at a time. It showed unprofessional gesture. Btw I didn't get ckeck in email for my return flight to YYZ."
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Cons: "flight was delayed due to maintenance issues had to take 3 flights to get from rome to stl, would have been nice if it were only 2"
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "The check in was fast and easy, even was able to get a better seat. The cabin and seat were comfortable, the crew very nice. There wasn't any food which is never offered on thse shortish flights. Flight was on time and smooth."
Cons: "Nothing to do with the flight. Just the passport control took a long time in Toronto, which is not the airlines problem."
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "Same plane as the one I flew on the way to Toronto. It's a really nice plane."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth but then the flight was not full"
Cons: "The crew looked bored and surly. They missed giving me my pre ordered meal. When they finally found it it was given without the water bottle. I had to ask for tea twice only to be told that all hot beverages had been poured out."
Pros: "At least we had movies and a book."
Cons: "The checkin staff were not at there designated area on time and the flight was delayed for over an hour causing us to not be able to board our connecting flight from Toronto to Milan."
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "They over sold the flight and we couldn't board the plane."
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Pros: "Loved the great GPS display."
Pros: "Staff on air canada flights are always pleasant. Movies make the flight go by quickly - good selection."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for reasons that were not communicated to the waiting passengers. The plane was there and seemed ready to go. Perhaps they were fueling up, unsure. Those around me were getting restless as many had connecting flights that were being impacted. Perhaps if updates were given as to why the delay was taking place, it would have settled some of the passengers."
Pros: "Everything was good, just a small plane... 2 seats on each side of the row and being tall, there just isn't room for my legs!"
Pros: "Nice travelling on a larger aircraft."
Cons: "We were late arriving in Toronto and our connecting flight was scheduled to depart 20-25 mins from landing and we still needed to get off the plane. Even though the flight staff did request that those individuals who did not have a tight connection to allow those with a tight connection to pass through more quickly - most passengers didn't cooperate. A better process needs to be put in place to ensure those whom have connections are able to meet them."
Cons: "I booked this particular flight because it was the shortest route available. But the Air Canada flight from Dallas was delayed for an hour and then we experienced computer problems causing further delays. I therefore missed my connection in Toroto and was told by the ground staff I could only get out 2 days later. I was also told there were no hotels available. There were long lines of angry people complaining, and they were from different flights, One couple complained they missed 2 days of their honeymoon. The plane did have seats in business class which they refused to hand out. Eventually they found me a hotel and redirected me through Frankfort the next day. It turned out to be a 27 hour trip. Huge disappointment."
Pros: "Nice aircraft. Good direct flight without the hassle of a layover"
Cons: "Seat comfort not so good. The cabins a bit dated with the seats needing to be tightened."
Cons: "Food was very poor compared to other international flights I've been on. The staff was not very friendly I'm sorry to say!"
