Pros: "The crew and seat was fine"
Read more about Alaska Airlines
Pros: "The crew and seat was fine"
Pros: "Nice crew"
Cons: "Smoother flight"
Pros: "The snack was a whole sandwich that was quite tasty and in my opinion far better than the two meals I was served on my US to Europe flight on Condor. The staff were very kind, accommodating and served us damp linens to wipe our hands with before eating, which I did not receive on the Condor flight."
Pros: "Delayed.."
Cons: "Better communication to passengers. Gate agent didn't know why it us delayed."
Pros: "Free movies"
Cons: "First time on Alaska air, on my departure got delayed for 8hrs, then that one we end up deplaning. On my arrival, the plane got delayed again. It’s not a good experience all and all"
Cons: "Be on time"
Pros: "No hassle and easy boarding."
Cons: "More room and limit on size of luggage in the overhead compartment."
Pros: "Blue, dim lights"
Pros: "I love Alaska Airlines in general. Great customer service (typically), on time flights and great equipment:"
Cons: "The flight crew from SEA/LAS and same crew from LAS/LAX may have been having an off day. I’ve never seen a more aggressive (yes- shocked) flight crew I’m the years of flying Alaska. The flight attendants also was oddly unkept. Hair frazzled and attitudes were aggressive and their tone was harsh."
Pros: "The flight itself was as expected."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 3+ hours with no reasoning shared with travelers. No compensation, complimentary beverage, etc. was provided."
Cons: "Miss airline meals but realize this was a short flight. Everyone was great."
Cons: "Tv’s, more drinks"
Pros: "Crew was pleasant and very polite. I like that one carry on was included in my ticket. Enough leg room. Love the free in flight movies! Glad I didn’t have to purchase a beverage either."
Cons: "I will never understand the way boarding works. Did going from window groups, middle seat groups to aisle seat groups not work? I hate having to squeeze through and hope I don’t knock anyone in the face with my bag. I don’t like I can’t pick my seat and that my seatbelt is a little too tight. If I get a seat in the back I’m waiting for everyone else to get on and then for them to get off the plane. I guess I’ll have to pay the $75 fee for “first class” next time since that’s the only way to update my seat. And if I have a “saver rate” ticket - I should be able to still change my flight within 24 hours. I wanted to come back a day earlier and it was the same price! But I would’ve had to cancel and repurchase for an additional $200!!!"
Pros: "Everything was great"

Pros: "Thanks for the power charger"

Pros: "Everything was great!"
Cons: "no complaints!"
Pros: "Eveything in the plane looked fantastic. But still a tight fit. Drinks and food were offered often and the employees retrieved the garbage prompty. Best thing was we left on time and were early getting to Seattle. Our baggage got to the baggage claim area at lightening speed. At least 4 times faster than with our return trip on Spirit. (It took forever"
Cons: "They couldn't land in Ketchikan due to fog so they flew up to Sitka and got back 3 hours later, missed my connection in Seattle and spent the night at the airport, the I got charged 50 dollars for switching my tickets, are you kidding me, Alaska airlines sucks big time"
Pros: "Flight attendants"
Cons: "Dirty window"
Pros: "We got in early after taking off late"
Pros: "Flight was more comfortable than some other flights I have been on, and the ride was smooth. I also like that we get to pick our seats when we buy the tickets instead of trying to find a seat once we are boarding."
Cons: "Once we started to board our plane about half the passengers got on the then the boarding stopped due to being grounded by the weather. Once that was lifted we finished boarding but still had to wait for our pilots to change planes. We sat in our seats for two hours before we even moved from our gate."
Pros: "Everything but the temperature was very good."
Cons: "i sat in the last row and the heating did not work there. The passengers next to me and I got very cold on the whole flight but the flight attendents could'n do anything about it."
Pros: "Plane was late to the terminal. Crew got it turned over, boarded, and off the ground in a very small amount of time."
Cons: "Couldn't get a seat assignment despite booking the tickets months ahead of time, and checking in 24 hours before the flight. The plane was already mostly boarded by the time I was finally assigned a seat."

The boarding was late and when I arrived at my final destination I had to wait some more to exit the plane .. about 20 mins

Cons: "A business class"

Pros: "Seats are super comfortable. Great entertainment"
Cons: "The snacks"
Pros: "the flight took an alternate route, with no heads up by the captain or crew. flight took almost 7.5 hours."
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Crew was nice and the flight was fine"
Cons: "I was quite shocked that the seat I had originally been put in the head phone jack and The Wholearea where the channel changes was falling apart. I was able to switch seats due to flight being not full but that would be annoying. I also was weirded out that they did not ha e touch screens. In general the plane just seemed old and dirty to me."
Pros: "Accurate & Accountable boarding & flight time. No excuses"
Cons: "Lost time"
Pros: "Great leg room! And, love the Terra chips!"
Pros: "I liked having a variety of movies and show to watch during a five hour flight"
Cons: "There was a worker outside the plane demanding people to step to the side. He didn’t say please or thank you. Rude!"
Cons: "I got stuck the security line. I made it to the gate at 6:32 and could not board. I had to sit for 2 1/2 hours on stand by. Really disappointed in being told I could not board when there was another 12 to 15 mins left."
Pros: "I loved that the pilot on my first flight introduced himself and staff to the customers prior to loading the plane. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The leg-room! The leg room was a great surprise. No hassle with bags. Great snacks, wi-fi and movies for FREE! I was so tickled. I've never flown JetBlue. I thought it was just another low-cost airline that makes you pay for everything , what a nice surprise! I immediately gave you a shout-out on my facebook account. Best flight experience I've had in a long time. Thank you."
Pros: "Boarding and gate location"
Cons: "I’m absolutely not a cold natured person, however I was freezing and extremely uncomfortable the entire flight."
Pros: "Great snacks, nice plane staff."
Cons: "An electrical problem caused the plane to shut down. Rather than finding us new flights, we waited for many hours for the plane to be repaired. I was planning on making it to work by 9 this morning but the only folks who received alternate flights were the ones with connections :( in addition to this, the power shutting down on the plane was extremely unsettling. I have flown hundreds of times and have zero fear of flying. Today, I was terrified that the power would shut off mid-flight at any moment. I truly wish we'd been given another plane...i know that's tough. But something along those lines would have been better than stepping back on the one that shut down with all of us in it...after waiting for hours for it to be repaired. I do appreciate the $150 coupon though."
Pros: "Great staff"
Cons: "Nothing to complain about"
Pros: "JetBlue Service is Done Right and it is appreciated."
Cons: "New Seats are Terrible, they are hard, too short, the engineering is definitely not ergonomic...5 hour flight almost unbearable."
Cons: "Turbulence.. felt like it was a brand new pilot flying. Videos were down"
Pros: "The light snack was adequate. My husband is a big guy and sometimes has issues flying due to size, found seats to be comfortable. Also, Jetblue gave us us a $50 credit for the inconvenience."
Cons: "We left half an hour late. Also, was stuck on the tarmac for 2 hours due to thunder and lightening storm with a screaming child on board. Howeverer, weather is not Jetblue's fault."
Pros: "Very polite crew, pleasant environment. The flight was dooo good!! Smooth!"
Cons: "The areas are a little tight."
Pros: "I missed my flight the night before and wasnt asigned a seat.Wjen I went to counter the next day I expressed my stress from travel and the gate agent hooked it up with an even more seat..Being 6'4" this was a really rad upgrade!"
Cons: "Not being able to afford 1st class :p"
Pros: "So many restrooms onboard, and even more free movies"
Cons: "The guy sitting next to me was rude to his gf so that kind of tainted the flight but that’s not JetBlue’s or kayak’s fault"
Pros: "checking in could not have been easier"
Cons: "I wanted them to bring more coffee around"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Security was so backed up. I was not the only one who missed a flight, there were several people in line with me That also missed fights. They seemed very understaffed. When myself and other passengers asked them for help, they either ignore us or laughed."
Pros: "Free movies! And free WiFi! AWESOME"
Cons: "Would have liked more movie choices"
Cons: "The seat was hard. I could feel the bolts under the cushion."
Pros: "Service was excellent and we actually had leg room!!"
Cons: "World‘s tiniest airplane toilet. I think munchkins built this for other munchkins. And I don’t mean big munchkins, but real real small munchkins."
Pros: "The pilot and flight attendants were fantastic"
Cons: "Na"
Pros: "Excellent service as always .. I really appreciated the speed of service after takeoff for snacks and drinks since everyone wanted to sleep mostly — Also the crew was very friendly and helpful Even though the plane was packed almost to capacity — they served everyone quickly and efficiently LUV the full access entertainment package"
Pros: "That you finally found a different plane for our flight. The pilot was excellent."
Cons: "Late flight, I know the weather and the delayed flight was not in your control."
Cons: "They missed checkin bags and told me to collect tomorrow"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 2 hours"
Pros: "Very nice crew."
Cons: "40 minutes delay is never nice when you have shuttle waiting for you."
Pros: "Flight was on time and smooth"
Cons: "Just loud passengers"
Pros: "Crew provided great service."
Cons: "My seat's TV screen had a terrible picture that got worse during the flight."
Pros: "JetBlue staff and crew goes above and beyond as always. I left my garment bag full of clothes I needed for a trip. Flight crew and desk agents helped me to coordinate getting it back to me."
Cons: "Everyone was very friendly and we arrived early to Boston"
Pros: "Everything!!! Fantastic flight...punctual, comfortable, and polite! I will use JetBlue every chance I can when we travel over any other airline...especially air Canada!"
Cons: "Nothing...great flight"

On time, cordial service,

Simple and easy

Had a crying baby the whole flight. When we arrived at the gate we had to wait for the gangway.

2hours delayed and didn't give notification right away 🤷‍♀️. I even lost my food to rush to go to the airport. Paid $60 for seafood plate ending just leave it almost halfway on my way to the airport find out the flight was delayed. I wish they have more accurate policy to let passengers knows for any problems about the flight as soon or as early they can

Don’t give me a chair that can’t lean back. I got one in both legs of my flight. And I know I did not select those seats.

Pros: "Good"
Cons: "Good for now"
Pros: "No entertainment on the plane and plane was very small..."
Cons: "Explain flight situations better.."
Pros: "Crew is amazing!"
Cons: "The Plane!"
Cons: "Significant delay of departure."
Pros: "Crew was awesome, super friendly and helpful. Even the korean food options tasted delicious."
Cons: "Not plus size friendly. The bathroom is too small for a plus size person to be able to use and for a 14 hour flight I think that’s important. Also if you’re plus size and the person in front of you reclines, it’s impossible to pull down your tray fully."
Cons: "WiFi didn’t work at all."
Cons: "On board entertainment was inop, making for a long (4) hours flight."
Cons: "The DCA airport was having some problem. 1.5 hours late. Not very good."
Pros: "Almost 3 hours of delayed"
Cons: "Almost"
Cons: "Great"
Cons: "4 hour delay"
Cons: "It could have left on time or they could have told us they weren’t leaving and let us get some sleep."
Pros: "The seat was great, I wish all seats on the plane were that comfortable"
Cons: "Nothing, everyone was great"
Pros: "Every one but the gate agent at Detroit going to Seattle at 7:40 loading time on 4-11-19. She was mean and curt and would not get my seat corrected I had to sprint for at least a mile to even make it. We landed the same time they were boarding"
Cons: "The attendants on the Detroit to Seattle flight suggested I go talk to the gate agent to get my seat corrected. They said the flight was not full. So I did. To be greeted again by the mean agent you told me to take my rear and get it on the plane that the attendants didn’t know anything"
Pros: "The service by delta employees for this leg of my journey was beyond great. The leg room was above average."
Cons: "Leg room. Never can have enough leg room."
Pros: "The flight was very good in both directions. I was quite comfortable. On my return flight I left my e-reader on the plane. I didn't realize it until 2 days later. I called Delta and spoke with Tiffany. She was so helpful. She located my e-reader and I was able to go to the airport and pick it up."
Cons: "Carry brewed decaf coffee."
Cons: "After a delay of about an hour on a very full flight the gate agent asked for volunteers to check their rollaboard suitcases. The gate agents then allowed those who checked their rollaboards to board before Zone 1,which was fine. However, a bunch of people without gate check stickers on the rollaboards were also allowed to board before Zone 1, which was aggravating. There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."
Cons: "delayed flight"
Pros: "There were minimal passengers on the flight so I was able to have the entire row to myself. The flight was also very short which is always nice."
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "Flight was on time and arrived a little early."
Cons: "I was seated next to a very large man (6’5” he said) and had no room in my seat. Thankfully the seats in front of us were empty and the flight attendant moved him."
Pros: "Able to watch a movie, even though can't finished it."
Cons: "LATE DEPARTURE, LATE ARRIVAL IN ATLANTA. Good thing I brought some snacks. My seat was changed to the window (I hated it) instead of aisle as I pickedbefore when I checked in in Amsterdam. I should buy Virgin Air ticket for my round trip ATL-Ams vv, saved me about $250, if I knew it would be late"
Pros: "The inflight entertainment options were nice, I enjoyed the flight status option, and the USB port was very helpful."
Cons: "Three hour delay due to wiring issues, cramped seating that made it impossible to get even the most basic of maps, and our flight attendant was upset that we didn't notify them that we were vegans in advance. We didn't know that they had vegan options, and weren't upset about not eating the in-flight meals. She was much more upset about it than we were and it made me uncomfortable refusing the food that I knew I couldn't eat. Other passengers even asked us if we had eaten anything. It was almost embarrassing."
Pros: "The nice staff and entertainment options."
Cons: "I usually fly delta and have a great experience - unfortunately my flight from Detroit to Seattle was not. To start off, i was flying with two other people and we were not able to get seats together, and the whole seating process with delta is really difficult even when I had called weeks in advance to see if they could try and seat us together. I understand with main cabin tickets you can only choose your seat as you check in, but it would be nice to be able to request seating with a person/group you are flying with. I was placed in the very back row of a busy flight, and noticed that the horrible smell from the bathrooms which made it unpleasant. As said above, I normally have a pleasant experience.. but being a delta sky member I feel as though i do not really receive any differences as to a non-member. I hope this review helps for the next customers! Thank you."
Pros: "overall flight great, pleasant trip, courtious well informed crew"
Cons: "In flight entertainment screen down"
Pros: "Flew premium economy/delta comfort + and was a great flying experience. A taste of business without the $3000+ ticket price. Food was excellent, a huge step above economy. Extra comfort with wider seats. And priority boarding as well. This was more like premium economy that you get with European airlines. For long haul flights, well worth the cost. Flight was delayed 2 hours, but Delta had their own special route in Shanghai airport to bypass a lot of the crowds either transferring or checking in for fight. I wouldn’t have made my connecting flight if they hadn’t. Plus my checked bags went straight thru to my final destination in china,n instead of having to pick up and re-check them in Shanghai."
Cons: "2-hour delay causes me to almost miss my connection. I know some passengers had to be transferred to different flights which they almost missed."
Pros: "The Delta Help Desk at the airport was actually pretty helpful for the times I had to use them."
Cons: "Flight was delayed....3 times(more?) from late at night to early morning the next day. Delta Help Desk rescheduled me and got me a room at Howard Johnson’s for the night. Called HoJo’s to confirm they had non-smoking rooms available. Got on the hotel’s shuttle bus and the driver announced that HoJo was full and all voucher holders would go to Rodeway Inn but those without vouchers would go to HoJo....huh!?? Called HoJo and the same person I’d spoken to 20 mins prior said it was correct, that Rodeway was a sister property. The Rodeway Inn Metro Airport is pretty disgusting. This is my opinion after coming from remote Mexico and extensive travel in Africa. It should be torn down. Delta/HoJo should not send customers there."
Pros: "crew was nice and pilot was informative."
Cons: "1. flight was delayed twice, which meant my arrive was delayed in Cincinnati. 2. boarding was a nightmare. After 2 delays, I was crammed into zone 4. I dont fly as often, the seats space seems to be getting smaller. 5. I sat next an overweight person. I didn't like my personal space violated. 6. The flight offer movies, I slept. Yet kept getting elbowed by this overweight neighbor. 7. I am a single, independent person. I prefer to sit near the front. First on and settled and 1st off and gone!"
Pros: "Love the built in tv’s with free entertainment."
Cons: "The plane got delayed on the runway and the shut the engines off so the plane got super hot, but even after we got up in the air it never cooled down. Normally I’m freezing on flights, but I just sat sweating this whole flight. It was terrible."
Pros: "Swift travel!"
Pros: "The flight crew was friendly and personable. Beverage service was consistent and efficient. Entertainment and free WiFi messaging were great perks."
Cons: "The positives don’t even come close to offsetting the misery of Delta’s seats. I honestly don’t remember the last time I was so cramped and uncomfortable. I’m not an abnormally large man - 6 feet 200 lbs - and there was no room for my legs or my shoulders in an “upgraded economy” seat. I fly weekly for work on another major airline, and only took this one in a crunch. But I am quite certain this was my last Delta flight and I’ll be advising others similarly. The service and entertainment aren’t sufficient to mask an awful seat configuration."
Pros: "Even though we were in the very back row, we did not experience a foul smell from the restrooms. This was a very nice relief. It is bad enough that the seats don't recline and there is no window in the very back row but prior experience with the added nausea of foul restroom order has been a serious insult to injury. In this case there was really minimal odor. Also since we are traveling as a family we are very happy that we were seated together. We have experienced the past that sometimes our seats will be fragmented and that creates major challenges when you are traveling with young children. However on this particular flight the ride was rough during both takeoff and landing, a lot of side to side shimmy. Also the cabin pressure varied quite a bit during landing causing all the kids to complain about some discomfort in their ears."
Pros: "Great service, comfortable plane"
Cons: "Waited 45 minutes for de-icing"
Pros: "Service was great. Regular drinks and snacks."
Cons: "When I bought my ticket last Nov , I paid extra to select seats, only to discover no aisle seats available for the 15 hour flight from LAX to Guanghzou. I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."
Pros: "Special staff great pilots snacks free movies safety"
Cons: "Everything was great"
Cons: "Sat on the plane on the tarmac for over an hour in the cold..."
Cons: "Flights on time"
Pros: "It was whatever"
Pros: "Boarding was quick. Staff and crew were friendly. Everything went well despite the 30 min delay we had on the runway. They gave us snacks and we ended up still arriving on time."
Pros: "Plane was clean, attendants were friendly, and food was fine."
Cons: "I had a flight from Detroit to Montreal. Tried to check in and DTW was not a choice on the westjet website and so I physically could not check in. I realized the flight was technically operated not by WestJet, but Gojet. Went to Gojet's website and was told that Delta took care of all of their ticketing and such. Went to Delta's website, entered my ticket number and card number but I was not in the system as I was given all WestJet info (not Delta's). Luckily the baggage check in people figured it all out."
Cons: "I froze on the way to Las Vegas and there weren't enough blankets."
Pros: "Updated plane, movies are old but a verity"
Cons: "Lost two pieces of luggage"
Pros: "What I liked: Sky Priority privilege came with separate luggage check-in queues and early boarding"
Cons: "What I disliked: Seats were too small No beverages or snacks offered No USB or power outlets available Three different groups board before Delta Comfort (e.g. those needing more time, travelers with children, first/business class) Didn't see the value compared to a less expensive main cabin ticket"
Pros: "We were traveling with a group of 8, only 3 of us had assigned seats when were arrived and the others were on standby. We asked the attendant at the gate desk if there was any chance that the rest of us on standby could be seated together... HE UPGRADED OUR WHOLE GROUP TO COMFORT and allowed us to all sit with each other. Greatest flight experience I've had and such great staff with Delta. Will fly Delta going forward whenever I have a a chance (flew Southwest the rest of our trip - service, cleanliness, friendliness didn't compare)."
Pros: "Flight attendants were competent."
Cons: "Air conditioning was extremely noisy."

Flight was quick and on time.

Late departure. Waited on tarmac for over 20 minutes upon arrival. ZERO beverage service. Three thumbs down.

Waited 8 hours to board for a 1 hour flight, ridiculous

Things were cool. No entertainment or water

Flight was delayed.

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight attendants continued to over serve drunk passengers in row 17 18 and 19. Two large parties came into the plane hammered. One spilled a drink on me while his buddies from across the aisle hit me in the eye with an empty liquor bottle screwing around. Another member of their party got up to go to the bathroom while we were landing. Flight attendants did nothing to accommodate me or the other 100 people pissed st the clowns. Last time I fly frontier most likely. I’ll be calling corporate shortly. Like to know why they continued to over serve them?"
Pros: "Modern planes. Good on board crew."
Cons: "2.5 hour delay, no explanation why."
Pros: "Quick boarding, but I think it was just so that they we not fined by the FAA"
Cons: "My flight was delayed over FOUR HOURS! My flight was supposed to take off at 2:53 pm and we didn’t leave SFO until 6:39 pm! I received a text message at 9 am telling me that the flight was delayed until 4:05 pm....okay, no problem, I had not left for the airport yet, so no biggie. At 10:48 am, I received another text that the flight was delayed until 3:35 pm...still not a problem. A couple of minutes later, another text. My flight is now on time. Still no problem, because I usually add in 30 minutes in case Murphy of Murphy’s law shows up and throws a wrench into things. I get to the airport with plenty of time to spare & clear security... then get a new text notification at 2:08 saying that the flight is delayed for FOUR HOURS!!! Are you kidding me? On top of that, the customer service representatives made an announcement that there was a maintenance problem with the original airplane and a new one was enroute to take up the slack. They said this as a statement and offered no apologies or sorry for the inconvenience. They stayed at the check in desk for an hour, and then left and didn’t come bac until 20 minutes before the plane arrived at the gate. I will NEVER fly this airline again!"
Cons: "From the moment that I get off the plane to catch my flight connections to San diego, I thought the gate was far but its right the corner so I dont need to rush lol"
Pros: "When I told people I was taking Frontier, they scoffed, rolled their eyes, and joked that I'd have to pay to use the bathroom. Well, it wasn't THAT bad. In fact, I got an assigned seat (in contrast to Southwest). Plane was fairly new, and the seat wasn't too small (then again, not super big). One flight attendant tried to make the atmosphere festive since we were going to Vegas and some people got absolutely shit-faced on the flight. I thought this was kind of cool, but I'm sure some people were annoyed since the drunks got VERY loud. For the price, I would definitely go to Vegas from Indy on Frontier again."
Cons: "1. The guy in charge of the check-in area yelled at one of his employees and humiliated her in front of me. Super awkward. 2. They really do charge for water. OK, I can see charging for a Coke, but water? I thought there was a law saying airlines HAD to provide water on request for health reasons. Then again, I had a huge water bottle from home, so why am I bitching?!"
Cons: "Everything was good until the last flight from Denver to Las Vegas. They let us into the bridge but did not let is into the plane for a while because they just finished cleaning it and was waiting for maintenance to fix a broken chair, which made us stand and wait on the bridge. They should've just waited to let us in until the plane was ready instead of stocking us into the bridge.Additionally, as I was leaving the plane the one of the crew member was arguing with a customer, which could've been handle better."
Pros: "Well, first of all I did not go to Vegas...I ended up going to Detroit instead. I purchased the insurance only to find out you almost have to be dead in order to be able to use it. During my flight to Detroit a passenger had been drinking aboard the plane and police had to come aboard the flight to remove the passenger prior to allowing the other passenger to deplane first. We had to watch that entire ordeal while my loved ones waited at baggage claim to pick me up. The food selection wasn't very appetizing. However, some of the flight attendants were friendly...which made the flight bearable. My relatives fly frontier all the time and recommended I use them and I did, but I'm not sure I'll ever fly frontier again."
Cons: "A lot!"
Pros: "operated by miami international that may have made all the difference even got free beverage and tiny pack of pretzels"
Pros: "The crew was friendly"
Cons: "Starting with boarding- what happened to loading the back of the plane first? That was much more efficient! That way the people in the back don't have to wait for row 8 to get settled before the rest of the plane can proceed with boarding. Once you get to your seat, it's so uncomfortable! They're molded in such a way your head always leans forward, they don't recline, there's very little leg room or side room. Arm rests are half the size of the usual, and tray tables are also half the size! If you're on the plane for an hour flight, it's do-able, but any longer than that, you'll be miserable. For the record, I'm tall and thin, and I felt squished sideways."
Cons: "No one at the counter before the flight. Everyone was at the gate. I lost my flight and you wanted to charge me anotyer 100 dollars. And i had ti catch a flight frim Orlando and had ti drive myself there. They lost my baggage as well .first night in vegas was ruined by Frontier Airlines. Did not know that I needed my pool sticks to play ahead of purchase new pool sticks they cost $1,200 and I had a purchase 1 days worth of clothes unreal never experienced anything like this such a horrible Airline"
Pros: "The attractive fare."
Cons: "Long delay on return flight."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "I was stopped at loading & forced to pay 60 for my carry on even though I checked early online & it showed I had paid 40 for my bag. It was misleading, also checked with a Frontier staff at check in desk & she confirmed I was ok. "Supervisor" at gate was very rude & turned & walked away while I was asking a question & trying to show her my email receipt. I have never gotten sick on an airplane before but I did on all my Frontier flights & there was no air sickness bags in seat. This trip was ridiculous from the start as my flight was changed from non stop direct to overnight layover in which I had to purchase a Hotel room as well as all the extra fees taken after purchase. Frontier is not "cheap" at all. And worst customer service I've ever dealt with."
Pros: "The initial price was great. The direct flight was fantastic. No wasted airport time."
Cons: "I paid an extra $16 because I thought I had to pay for my seat. It was an emergency aisle so I got more leg room, but my seat didn't recline at all. It was impossible for me to sleep during my 3 1/2 hour flight to Las Vegss. Each bag you brought must be paid for whether it was checked or carry on. My original ticket price was $241. With the $60 bag fee and $16 additional seat fee ( I did not reserve one on the way home, so there was no additional charge for that direction). My total was $317. I would have preferred a larger airline with reclining chairs and free movies."
Pros: "The seats were spacious"
Cons: "When I went to check-in for my flight and get my boarding pass, the Frontier employee at the counter asked if we had paid for carry-on bags online. We said no and she looked at our bags and said we were fine. When we got to the gate however, I was stopped and told that I needed to pay for my bag. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained that their employee at check-in told us we did not need to pay for a carry-on. They still forced me to pay AND tried to charge me the gate price of $60 which I refused to pay. If they were going to charge me for a carry-on, they should have made that clear at the ticket counter where I would have paid $45. They were incredibly rude about it and it seemed like a scam they had planned out to try and get $15 more out of passengers."
Pros: "Nothing abt it"
Cons: "I have traveled many places and have NEVER encountered such horrible service in an airport as I did at your Orlando airport / Frontier counter. I checked hours before was in the airport and long lines an hour and 1/2 before flight leaving and due to your Frontier agents at this counter I was unable to board. This happen to more than one passenger in line with me. This agent continued to argue with me rolling her neck and head at me rather than get me to t gate with an available half hour before take off. There was vomit at the counter which they refused to call anyone to come and clean up but overall NO ONE was on task. I will dispute the extra charges I have incurred due to this fiasco and will NEVER fly Frontier Airlines again."
Pros: "price."
Cons: "They lost the full planes worth of baggage at the arrival in Denver, we waited over an hour and a half for the luggage, while other flights arrived, got their bags and left. Attendant kept coming over the intercom saying they were looking for the bags from our flight. Once on the plane and the doors shut, passengers were not allowed to move to an empty row, because they said we did not pay for other seats in coach, so had to sit cramped in seats while multiple rows were empty or had only one passenger for the 3 seats."
Pros: "Like, it was a first time experience . Notone wewill repeat. First off chrck in was not available until two hours before departure no one was at the counters when issued a ticket from an attendant she acknowledged my carry-on but said there was no fee to pay when called to board the plane the agent told me to go back to the counter and register my carry-on I did not understand and was irritated when we paid a fee of $45 for that carry-on we were able to board no complementary beverages or water were offered on a two hour and 45 minute flight . It seems like and nickeled and dime operation sorry but hard backseats are not the way I want to travel so very mediocre"
Pros: "The crew on the flight out of Detroit were pleasant and professional."
Cons: "The attendants in the airport at DTW weren't very friendly and throw luggage on the conveyor belt not taking into consideration people's belongings. Also the cost of bags and having to pay additionally for the seat is ridiculous. I would have rather pay a little more for a ticket for a nicer plane and be able to take my carry-on And my purse for free. I actually payed more with the cost of a ticket, bags and seat than a flight out with another airline. Both flights I took PHX-DTW and back were both significantly delayed. The seats were uncomfortable and tight. This is the first and last time flying with Frontier airlines."
Cons: "at 4:30 pm I had a text alert that the flight was delayed by 8 hours yet there was nothing done to replace crew who were going over their max hours. The pilot and both stewardess told different stories. At 1 am in the morning they claimed they were looking for replacements. It is bad enough having a flight canceled and having to drive 840 miles or wait up to 2 days to be rescheduled....but to have blatant lies told was even worse. Then cancel due to weather...when that was not the case..so baggage fees cannot be refunded. The baggage fees were almost as much as the airfare."
Pros: "$49 price for ticket from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas. (WARNING: uncomfortable seat only, doesn't include any baggage)."
Cons: "The seats are very uncomfortable. They are smaller than before and the airline claims they are "pre-reclined." The boarding process is poorly organized (should fill from back to front). The staff is not friendly. Food costs, they claim you can't consume your own alcohol, and they begrudgingly give you water if you press them. When the plan landed at the exact time the pilot predicted 4.5 hours earlier, they told us that we were "early" and kept everyone waiting with seatbelts fastened. In fact the crew frequently abused the seatbelts fastened light during calm air. Don't fly Frontier unless it is severely cheaper; the experience is terrible."
Pros: "The flight was on time and the crew was friendly"
Cons: "The check in process was PAINFUL! The check in staff, only two ladies, were there by 4:30 but could not check in our bags until 5am, resulting in lines. Two staff members for everyone was not enough and one of them kept taking off to do something else, leaving only one person to check in. The Baggage Only line received way more attention, forcing the rest of us to wait longer even through we were line FIRST. You should take direction from Allegaint! I flew from Vegas to Fresno a few days later and their check in service was exceptional!"
Pros: "The efficiency of the boarding process. It was organized and fairly expedient."
Cons: "The exorbitant additional fees. Absolutely absurd to charge for a seat and carry-on luggage in addition to the plane ticket itself. My carry-on suitcase is HALF the size of the traditional size and paying $30 to bring it on the plane is insulting. The chairs were uncomfortable. They don't recline, no head rest, and no blankets were on board which made resting for my 5 hours across the country EXTREMELY uncomfortable. For all the extra fees you'd think a movie and some snack packs might be available. Then again, with the trays too small to fit even my mini iPad, there'd be no place to put them. No in-flight entertainment was a bummer too. I've usually been so happy on Frontier. Bit this experience will keep me from flying Frontier ever again."
Pros: "It was quick to get on the plane."
Cons: "I am very concerned with the staff of Frontier as how they could let not one, but two passengers on their flight who are CLEARLY past the legal limit of being intoxicated. I had two passengers, mother and daughter, who were in front, and beside me who were stumbling while walking to their seats, had slurred speech, and absolutely reeked of alcohol. I had made a point to one of the flight attendants about it, they did not do anything more than shrug it off, and then not only did I point that out, they went ahead and served them more alcohol 20 minutes later into the flight! More specifically two Coors and two small bottles of Vodka for the woman sitting next to me, and a Coors for the woman in front. They were causing me discomfort by making their drunken jokes, but the woman next to me made no due regard to personal space (which I get the airline at that point cannot control). However, the woman to my side had been alot less touchy-feely prior to receiving more alcohol. Not to mention I had paid the extra money for the assigned seats, which were added on to our total charges, but suddenly disappeared when I received my itinerary online. I will never book through this agency, or fly Frontier again."
Pros: "THIS trip was okay."
Cons: "This was supposed to be a round trip ticket. My original flight from Las Vegas to Houston was delayed and delayed and then finally cancelled. I was checking your app religiously and it wasn't until BOARDING ( 12:20 in the morning) that it said the flight had cancelled. Your employees just ignored me when I went to the front desk to ask what I was supposed to do. They finally took notice of me and said the best they could do was TWO days later. I don't live in Vegas so I asked where I was supposed to stay and they said they couldn't help me with that. You were going to let me sleep in an airport for two days! I asked what I was supposed to do about food and you said you'd email me a food voucher (you didn't) and you said you would email me a 200 dollar voucher for my next flight (which you didn't)! I had to find someone to help me buy a different flight on a different airline because of how UNhelpful you all were. The most disappointing and absolutely terrible traveling experience I've ever had. I don't know when or if I will ever fly with you again."
Pros: "It was SUPPOSED to be a round trip. I arrived at LAS an hour before departure, and tried a kiosk. It advised me that I needed to see an agent. I get in line. 19 minutes later, I am informed that even though the plane is still at the gate, I missed the 45 minute deadline, and cannot board. The agent will not help me to book another flight, but gives me a paper with an 800 # on it. I am told that all of the next days flights are sold out. I managed to get a $287 flight t 6 am the next day, on a different carrier. When I arrived at Ohare for the return leg, I was charged $40 , for my carryon. When I expressed my displeasure at the charge, I was told that Frontier was a low cost operation and should not be surprised that I would pay more for extras. My response to that is "When did customer service become an extra, for which I should be charged?" I have found your corporation to be an overpriced low service airline, a soulless company intent on squeezing every cent out of each transaction, while providing even less than the bare minimum to the sucker who buys a ticket."
Pros: "We landed safely"
Cons: "The flight crew was atrocious. They were rude when they spoke to us and when I asked for refreshments they turned around as if to get them for me and then the lady sitting next to my husband had to get their attention again to ask a second time if I could have water and Chex Mix so I could take my medicine. I have serious health conditions and I couldn't even get water without paying $3 a bottle. It is disgusting to me that we are charged for flight and then charged for Refreshments during that flight. Any other Airline who charges for a seat to take you to your destination includes at least drinks and nuts for free but not you."
Cons: "They overbooked the flight, so we were told to get there two hours early, 3:30am! So we wouldn't loose our seats. The plane wasn't even full. And security doesn't open until 4am. A bunch of BS. They charge for carry on. They charge for check in. They charge for your seat selection. They charge for any type of good or beverage on the plane. $2 just for a small cup of coffee. I am surprised they don't charge to use the restroom. All the money I thought I saved from flying Frontier was quickly used to pay all the extra fees."
Cons: "The flight was delayed a few hours. It took forever to Get out of the gate. It took an hour once we landed to get in the gate and deplane. I was given a seat on the computer and then when I got on the plane there were two people with same seat. The floors and seats were unbelievably dirty as well. I have never seen so much trash and crumbs everywhere. It was an awful experience. Our trip to Vegas the first night was ruined because we were planning to see a show Thursday evening and landed two hours late and could have possibly made it but we sat on runway for an hour before deplaning."
Pros: "The flight crew on plane was great."
Cons: "On my flight to Denver, was never mentioned on anything about paying for my carry on. But on the way back to Las Vegas. They stopped us and was very rude about having to pay. Using the "they should have charged you the first time" I think its crazy to be charged for a carry on, if they charged me one way and not the other then i feel someone was not doing their job. But it was how rude the lady manager was when I also only had cash on me. They wanted to charge me an extra $5 to go do a pre paid card. this was 20 mins before flight left. They must get on the same paid either charge both ways or no way. especially $60 per bag"
Cons: "While I am thankful that we made it back to the airport after some mechanical issues. I called Frontier and ask them to get me on a different flight that night or first thing the next morning. They would not help me. They kept telling me I had to talk to the agents in the terminal. There were 200 other people standing in line waiting to be helped. They offered no alternative. Wouldn't even book me with another airline to get me to my destination. The best Frontier customer service on the phone would do was changed my flight to Saturday night. Which did not good since I was coming back from my trip on Sunday."
Pros: "Hard to come up with anything honestly."
Cons: "Service at the gate was unprofessional. Customer service rep was arguing with crew members and pilot. A family of five were all separated throughout the plane and asked if there was anyway they could sit together. CS rep just shook her head and said no. Ultimately I offered up the seat I paid for so the mom could be closer to her kids and ended up sitting in the back of the plane in a completely empty row. Could the rep not have looked it up and seen there was an empty row and made accommodations for this family?? I shouldn't have to be the one looking out for YOUR customers. They don't pay my salary...they pay yours."
Pros: "Cheaper than the other airlines."
Cons: "If you don't prepay for your checked bags online, they charge you more at the ticket counter for no reason. The Web site is very buggy and full of errors. It took forever to prepay for our checked bags. We even had to call their online support staff because their Web site is so full of bugs. They also charge even more for a carryon bag than a checked bag -- which is ridiculous -- so the entire overhead bins were empty. Insane. A few of the ticket counter staff were lazy rude utter morons. Others were helpful. The planes seem very old. The seats are uncomfortable and small. No entertainment system. Every little thing has an exorbitant cost -- including coffee or coke -- on a 4 hour flight. It's cheap ---- but not cheap enough for the horrible experience and lack of service and lack of quality or comfort. Buses are much more comfortable."
Pros: "For starters, the Crew was AWESOME !!! An attendant asked if I was military, I wear an Air Force cap my daughter gave me when she graduated. I said no, and explained it was my daughter's and she thanked her for her service and me for supporting her choice. A few minutes later an attendant asked if I would follow her, they had a different seat for me, she said. At first I thought I had the wrong seat. I stand 6ft 3in and about 270 lbs. economy seating is kinda cramped for Me. She directed me to a seat that had knee room and thanked my daughter for her service and me for supporting my daughter's choice to serve Our Country. This action just strenghtens my loyalty to Frontier Airlines and will continue to travel with you all I can. My trips with Frontier Airlines has always been a Good experience. This one was special because Your Crew of Attendants made it Special for Me. They are Real and Professional people. Let them keep doing what they're doing because it's working, for Me anyway. Thank You very Much"
Cons: "Just when you thought airline travel couldn't get worse, Frontier brings you hard seats that don't recline and tray tables about half the size of a sheet of paper. Want a real seat? No problem--pay more. Want what they call a "laptop-friendly" tray table? No problem--pay more. And don't expect to use TSA Pre-check: Frontier doesn't participate. By the time you've paid to bring luggage on your trip--whether checked or carry-on, it costs--you've racked up a cost you could have used to fly a real airline. Pretty soon they'll be charging extra to fly on a plane with wings. And then their website was down all morning when I needed to check in. I used to fly Frontier a lot. Never, never, never, never again."
Pros: "We arrived in Las Vegas 20 minutes early."
Cons: "1.) We sat on the runway in Vegas for 15 minutes waiting for a gate to open. 2.) They charged me to select a seat. 3.) They charged me to CARRY ON a bag ($45!) 4.) They don't participate in TSA Pre-check 5.) There was no organized line-up for each separate boarding group. 6.) I was seated next to a baby that screamed for 3 of the first 4 hours flight time w/o flight attendants doing anything to help the dumb-ass dad who neglected to bring a freaking binky w/him! I guess maybe I'm just spoiled by the FAR SUPERIOR service of Southwest Airlines. Last time I let someone else book my flight on another airline!"
Cons: "Frontier's baggage policy is such a rip off and comparatively over priced. They allow 1 checked bag for 40$ whereas American Airlines and others charge 25$ a bag. For carry on items Frontier charges 60$(!) We were two passengers with each allowed a carry on item. After paying for our 2 bags, we were about to board when the lady at the boarding gate insisted on having us pay for our carry on ( whilst they clearly say one carry on item per person ). We were threatened with being kicked off the flight if we didn't pay for the carry on. Other passengers were also subjected to this behaviour. Never flying Frontier again. Rude boarding attendant, and a rip off baggage policy."
Pros: "roomy-ish seats for a domestic flight, however when the folks in front reclined, I could not use my tray table..."
Cons: "When you go to check in and choose your seats, each seat has a dollar amount...I thought I already paid for my ticket!! What they don't explain is that you can check in at the airport and get your seat assignment (without paying extra) and leave it to chance, or pay for a seat reservation in advance. Water was free...that's it. You could buy "snacks" with a credit card only. We sat on the tarmac for 1/2 hour waiting for another flight to leave...this airline company feels new, like they are "flying by the seat of their pants"...in the long run, I paid the same amount as a more well known carrier, so I don't see the benefit to their "spare" and "more affordable" approach."
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "Trash and food covered the floors. The seats were very uncomfortable and not sure how you can call that a tray table. But I guess if you aren't serving food there's no real reason to have a table, except to allow your guests convenience. Charging fees for every little thing, including being able to pick a seat so you can sit with your party, is quite ridiculous. I don't fly a lot but I won't ever choose this airline again when I can get Much higher quality for the overall cost once the hidden fees were added."
Pros: "Text message notifications of flight delay, considering my flight was delayed multiple times, quickness of boarding, and short wait times at the ticket counter"
Cons: "The carry on baggage fee that I was informed of as I was boarding, causing delay to other passengers while other guests and myself are waiting to pay for a bag, or forced to throw items away. There is no reason for a carry on bag the size of a backpack to cost $30. I understand most airlines have started charging these fees now, but it is ridiculous to get to the airport and have to pay for every bag. I can buy a flight for $54 and end up paying twice that much just in baggage fees. Also why do the room in the seats seem to get smaller every time, no headrest, and I can barely fit a book on my tray table. A few money saving techniques male the flight that much less comfortable"
Pros: "FRONTIER EMPLOYEES maintained a friendly attitude despite the chaos."
Cons: "Baggage check-in had one very long line. I waited 40 minutes to simply check my bags. My two small bags were expensive to check (compared with other airlines). After all expenses there were no savings over other airlines (other airlines with better service and better jets). Frontier has NO TSA PRE CHECK PROGRAM!!! Initial flight it was a big nuisance, return flight it was even worse. The security line was at least a 2 hour wait. The Frontier flight in the gate next to us left without 25+ passengers because they were still in line at security. The flight: this was the roughest most frightening flight I've encountered. I found myself having to calm down the passenger next to me. We arrived 40 min late. Return trip: my luggage didn't appear and I had to file paperwork at the ticket desk on another floor. The 2 pieces of luggage were found and delivered to me 3 days after. Case closed. I don't mind the no-frills interior & seats that don't recline. I can bring my own snacks and beverages. But this airline disregards the value of my time."
Pros: "Flight crew pleasant, even making sarcastic comments about the cheapness of their airline. For example, "If you don't like our service, there are 8 emergency exits on this plane." We arrived safely and our bags got there too!"
Cons: "It was a tough day due to weather delays and cancellations, but the airport crew was overwhelmed and failed to control the massive crowd. At one point, service members started calling out destinations and it became a free for all. Passengers jumped over each other and across the ropes to cut in front. Elderly and children were pushed aside. At the gate, it was announced "in 15 minutes, we will ask passengers needing help to board", followed immediately by another crew member "we are already boarding all passengers!", then right back to the first crew "we are not boarding yet, we will start boarding in 15 minutes". Confusion! Departure was listed on time, but we really left 40 minutes late."
Pros: "Nothing really."
Cons: "Frontier advertised cheaper fares but when all the nickel and diming is done (like the baggage fees, seating fees, in flight drink fees) your better off spending a little more up front with another airline than falling for their cheaper fares. They try to sell you 'a roomier seat' but delivery seats which reminds me of public transit. They don't recline and they also don't have a tray large enough to accommodate a laptop!! Hard plastic covered in vinyl with fancy stitching. Try sitting for 4 hours on that! Southwest is a much better choice."
Pros: "On time on the way out."
Cons: "Bought the ticket in Chicago because it was cheaper than flying out of Madison or Milwaukee. Even if I paid for a bus ticket from Madison to Chicago. When I went to check in it took 5 phone calls and 1 1/2 hours later. The reason for the call was the carry-on baggage charge which was astronomical and my question was is the $40 for round trip. Which it wasn't. Also, I was unaware of all the additional charges, seat, bottle water, soda etc. The biggest problem was no WI FI on board. I need to work while I was in the air for 4 hours. It took 5 phone calls because I couldn't understand the person trying to answrer my questions. I also couldn't check in because Frontier was not compatible with my IPad. Talk about getting frustrated. I had enough stress traveling for business. On the way back we were backing out to the runway heading to take off and the captain announced that he was turning around because a passage was vomiting due to overindulgence of alcohol. 45 minutes later finally backed out to take off. I barely made it to my bus. Thank god I can run fast. What a nightmare that didn't need to happen. It would have been way cheaper to fly out of Madison or Milwaukee. What really PMO was socking us traveler additional charge for so called peak time. WHO DO YOU THINK BAILED YOU OUT IN 2001? Your should be ashamed of yourselves."
Pros: "I have to admit, I liked the price. And now that I've flown the airline I understand why it has a low price. Which is okay, I saved enough money to cover my parking. I would say that 1st time customers might be unaccustomed to paying for your own beverages and snacks. The thing that struck me as odd was the staffs willingness even eagerness to have a confrontation with the quest. Like they took pride in putting passengers in their place for a few extra fee revenue dollars. The flight was okay, but Frontier airlines won't be my 1st choice next time."
Cons: "Rude staff! Baggage claim in Las Vegas was in another terminal, which I had To catch a shuttle to get to, which I'm sure is determined by fees the airline pays the airport. So the least expensive is not always the best thing."
Pros: "It didn't crash and Im very thankful for that. They are good at collecting trash."
Cons: "The flight attendants skipped few rows and not offer us any drink or snack the first time they came out. I am sure they didnt do it in purpose, but I have never been in a flight that the flight attendant just missed people like that. The cart stopped next to the seat in front of me, the first flight attendant helped people that sat in the front, the second one started to asked and served beverages for the seats behind me. I thought the first one was going to help us, but they moved so fast and far behind us right after that. I have never been in any fllight that charge people for soda."
Pros: "N/a"
Cons: "N/a"
Cons: "The constant switching of flight times and delays were ridiculous but I’m glad I was on time in the end"
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "Seats too close and didn’t recline"
Pros: "The flight crew was awesome! The flight it’s self was so smooth:)"
Pros: "CLean new plane"
Pros: "When you try to download your boarding pass and you finally successes you can not click on your checked baggage. I tried over and over but it wouldn't let me so I had to pay the $50 luggage fee for checking at the airport. I explained the situation to the clerk but she said there nothing she could do. This is a glitch in the system and is not my fault. I am disappointed that we couldn't figure it out."
Cons: "There was an extra layover in Vegas not listed when I purchased the ticket. I paid more for this flight because it had one, not two stops. I know Spirit is a low rent airline hut that’s really over the line. I feel I’m owed some money back. And a flight attendant talked hella aloud non stop, very irritating."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines is a complete joke! We were standing at the ticket counter by 10:15 and the flight was at 11:06 yet refused to print out boarding passes. They even allowed the person directly in front of us to check in but apparently we were the cut off. After asking to speak with a supervisor, the ticket agent disappeared for 15 minutes only to return and tell us that there was no supervisor available. What? So..... no one is supervising the staff or daily operations? That’s a little scary. We asked the ticket agent again to print our boarding passes and at least let us attempt to make the flight but he again refused. The ticket gate we were at was directly next to the security line which had about 5 people in it. We also heard him tell the person in front of us who he allowed to check in that our gate was literally the first gate after security. I can not comprehend why he wouldn’t at least give us the option to try and make the flight which was 100% realistic. Instead, he refused our request for boarding passes a third time. The lack of service I received was absolutely and completely ridiculous. In a state of panic I began looking up other flight options that would get us to our destination on time... there was nothing! While I️ was researching flights, my traveling companion ran to the Southwest Airlines ticket counter and explained the situation. The ticket agent immediately began checking the computer and found a flight that would get us to our destination in time but the flight was leaving in 30 minutes. She stated that she could not promise we would make the flight but was happy to let us try! We got through security quickly and were able to board the 11:15 flight. Our original flight with Spirit departed at 11:06. I want a refund or I will be contacting my bank for a chargeback."
Cons: "i lost my spirit they got me once i will not be bite again by them. i will have a smile on my face when they go ouut of business, do not send me information that includes spirit airlines again !"
Pros: "Average flight with average service which I expected...."
Cons: "The lady at the check in counter was very rude. When I approached to the counter, she said "why are you here? You should check in at one of those kiosk!“ So I said I was instructed to check in at the counter. Then she said “ID" in a tone of voice that she was clearly not happy at work. ..."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "20 minutes prior to boarding, they announced there was no crew and the flight was cancelled. Passengers were instructed to line up for rebooking. For the first hour, there was only one person for the 100+ passengers. After an hour, a second employee showed up and asked those who wanted a refund to go to another line (those wanting to rebook should stay in line). Three and a half hours later, when we reached the front of the line (despite only being 1/3 of the line) we were told those who were sent to the refund line had taken the remaining tickets for different flights out that night and/or the next morning. We were offered a flight the following day on a different airline at a different airport. Not sure what happened to the remaining 50 or so passengers, but they probably got a worse deal."
Cons: "No space. Seats horribly uncomfortable, and don't recline at all. Couldn't even bring a carry on bag without paying an extra $45. It was the cheapest ticket I could find, but after all the extra fees it ended up being the same as the rest"
Pros: "They were efficient at loading and unloading. The business model of minimal inclusions was fine."
Cons: "I booked through Kayak but was not told about all the extra costs that could be incurred. I was unaware of the extra costs for checked bags. The cost was far more than other airlines. The flight attendants talked non stop to the point I was wishing I had ear plugs. The discounts for printing your own tickets and checking your bags ahead of time was not communicated prior to check in. It is on the website but not through the booking service. The self check in kiosk at check in would not work so we were upcharged for not using it but we couldn't."
Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "Poor Communication with Spirit, extra charges for everything"
Pros: "Staffs humor"
Cons: "Cost ends up being the same as other flights. Delays!!"
Pros: "The boarding was wuick and easy"
Cons: "Unexpected luggage prices. All food and drink had to be purchased with a debit or credit card. Flight crew was rude to the passengers."
Pros: "Nothing to be honest. Spirit was an extremely awful airline. They cancelled our flight after several delays because the pilots didn't show up. If you tried to call in, you would wait two hours with customer service and just get transferred again. While waiting in line and on hold with customer service, they would not give us a flight until the next day. We were supposed to be in Las Vegas at 12:00 pm Thursday and they offered us a flight on Friday at 7:00 pm stating this is the best they could do. We had to book with Delta on the red eye that night to get to Las Vegas. Spirit would not compensate us and we our out $560, plus all of the events we booked Thursday."

Pros: "The price of the ticket was the best part, but you truly pay for what you get."
Cons: "You pay for everything. There aren't even free pretzels or drinks. I would much rather fight for my life on United Airlines."
Pros: "The staff made me laugh a few times"
Cons: "every little extra thing costs, in the long run you end up paying just the same price as other airlines. Nothing about this airline is very comfortable but the trip from Detroit to Vegas lacked adequate air, it was extremely hot and I heard other people complaining too"
Pros: "Smooth ride, great customer service."
Cons: "Baggage fees."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight was delayed I missed my next flight and had to sit at the airport for 14 hrs"
Pros: "Good seat"
Cons: "It was all good"
Pros: "Nothing impressive."
Cons: "No complimentary drinks, snacks, or entertainment. Even on a 4+ hour flight, the most they could offer me was a cup of ice. No water, juice, soda, pretzels, peanuts, etc. If you wanted ANYTHING, you had to pay for it. Also, they charge $55 to bring a carry on and $50 to check bags. On both departure and return, I tried to do self check in at the kiosk, but error messages came up both times (despite accepting and charging my credit card) telling me to wait in line to see a cashier. So trying to take initiative and doing self check in was a waste of time and I still had to wait in line afterwards. Very dissatisfied with my experiences on Spirit Airlines."
Cons: "First, when I booked I was not given option to pay for baggage or choose seats, meaning I wasn't able to use the cheapest option. I had to spend at least 2 hours on the phone with a Spirit agent to get to pay for my bags before arriving at the airport at all - I wasn't able to do it online. On day of flight: the first leg was delayed. When we got to layover our final flight had been cancelled with no reason given. We were booked on another flight 8 hours later which meant we got in late enough that I had to miss another day of work. The Spirit agent at the gate in Las Vegas was also extremely rude. I also didn't get any phone or email updates."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "The terrible things are endless and I don't have the time to go on about something I know the airline will never resolve"
Cons: "They try and rip you off at every chance"
Pros: "The huge line at the airport moved really quickly. The staff were very efficient and we were pleasantly surprised. I thought we might miss our flight because the line was probably a hundred yards long, but we didn't."
Cons: "We were surprised by additional fees for carry-ons. We ended up having to pay about $300 more than we figured. And the whole campaign for $9 baggage was misleading and frustrating. If you would just be upfront about how everything is a la carte, then there wouldn't be any nasty surprises. Sure the ticket seems cheap before you figure in the baggage and other costs. But we weren't ready for shelling out an additional chunk of change. Also, we were met with a gigantic line at the airport. Seems like all the other airlines had small lines."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing."
Cons: "Where should I start? They can't scan boarding passes from phones. And their stupid kiosk wasn't working Weight limit is 40lbs so I got to pay 82 dollars for a 50 pound bag. they add stops to direct flights. For dollars for pretzels. The SLOWEST baggage check ins. No seat recliners. I'm 5'4" and had no leg room at all. The flight was FREEZING and god forbid they offer any blanket or anything at all. For 800 dollars even a spirit flight should try hard. I could go on... worst airline ever. I will happily pay at least $300 more to never see these people or this company's logo ever again."
Cons: "Not getting notification until morning of flight. Then waiting hours before we could re-book."
Pros: "Boarding was quick. Deboarding only slightly less so. The flying was smooth."
Cons: "I'm glad my plane tickets were gifted to me because it was not worth the price. I'd found flights around the same price range that include carry-on luggage and sometimes even a checked bag, reclining seats, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Spirit bombards you with ads about how every inconvenience supposedly saves us money. It doesn't. It's hidden costs. 99% of people are going to need more than a backpack when they fly across the country. And it doesn't go towards service either. Check-in kiosks didn't open until an hour before the early morning flights, despite the instructions we receive. Deboarding is chaotic. Flight attendants zoom by before I can throw away my trash or ask a question, and they don't help customers with overhead storage."
Pros: "I liked how my flight went smoothly, and that the price of the ticket even with the cost of my purchased carry on bag, was immensely cheaper than all the other flights for that day. If you go off of comfort, this may not be the flight for you, but if you base a good flight off of how affordable it is, then I would recommend Spirit Airlines."
Cons: "I didn't like how the seats were not very comfortable, and they did not recline, or have any head cushion that can bend for your head to rest on. Yes, it sucks that you have to pay for a carry on bag, but if you can put everything into a normal sized school backpack, then you can use that as your free personal item. And if you have more stuff, then you just have to plan ahead, and pay for your bag ahead of time, as it will cost more than double at the gate. NOTE that if you have a layover, you will have to pay for the bag twice. I think that was the worst thing out of the whole experience. Don't count on getting free food or drinks either. Just bring them with you on the plane."
Cons: "Not able to get pre-brding online and for the ticket clerks it was befuddling, and they had to get mgr over-rides."
Pros: "Cool snack, drink combos and options."
Cons: "plane sat on tarmac FOR 2 HOURS, told it was too hot to fly... as all the other planes took off. bOY WERE WE relived when THEY pASSed out cookies."
Cons: "Lack of accountability for staffing flight."
Pros: "If I want to fly somewhere with just my laptop and no carry on and no luggage, this will be the way to go."
Cons: "After booking this flight with Spirit (2 flights out and 2 flights back, and I'm not going to rate each one separately) I was ready to log in an pay for baggage because I did not carefully examine all the details when booking. We did not get a free carry-on and the price for paying for luggage was higher than expected. BUT that was just the beginning. In every flight I've been on before, you pay for your bags one, I had to pay for the bags each step of the way. And paying for luggage and carry-ons each step of the way meant paying over $300 for bags. I'm used to paying $30 per person. So my excitement at getting low fares evaporated instantly. I was now paying the going rate for the flight with a lot of extra hassle to boot. I was with my aunt who needed a wheelchair to get around the airport in a wheelchair. Other airlines had them available for us to use, but Spirit would only offer to call a service for us. They did not indicate what the cost of this service would be. They didn't say it was free and they didn't say it was not. I just found an empty wheelchair and used that, after having just paid more than $300 for baggage for three small bags, I wasn't into more surprises. But I had to use American Airlines wheelchairs which they were cool with, because Spirit refused to let me use theirs without the escort (paid?) who actually didn't show up in the few minutes it took me to think it through."
Pros: "Friendly stewardess"
Cons: "The chairs are low budget seats cushions are thin with and the leg room is limited which makes the ride very uncomfortable. I travel with various airlines and this was my 1st time traveling with spirit. This is by far my most uncomfortable plane ride with any airline. The cost for all beverages Is another concern. It is practically a potential health concern for a customer flying 2 hours or more to not have at least water provided for free. The credit card only for beverage payment also is a inconvenience for a small purchase that could easily be settle with cash. In closing, I feel this company is a prime example of producing poor service when the airline try to cut cost then capitalize on every single accommodation at the complete expense and inconvenience of the customers."
Cons: "A group of men were allowed to stand up and socialize in the aisle. One man seated became angry and told 2 of the men to stop hovering over him and to sit down. This scene occurred twice during the flight. It was resolved amicably, but had potential for an argument. The flight crew appeared oblivious to the problem. Why is it that SPIRIT allows loitering in the narrow aisle? Other airlines do not. It has the potential for disaster...."
Cons: "I usually never post anything negative for a review, so here is my first one. I had an awful flying experience with spirit I will never fly with them again. I will keep it short and simple. They charge you for everything that your flight ends up becoming super expensive and its obscured until you get hit with the fee. First off, bag check in is ridiculously expensive. Cost me just about 100 dollars to check a tiny bag. The seats on the airline do not recline and there was absolutely zero leg room. Im not that tall (6'0), so there is no reason I should have to sit sideways on the seat because my knees are jammed into the seat in front of me. My entire neck and back became stiff when I got off the aircraft because of this. Water cost me 5 dollars. Do I need to say more? Water should be free. I left my long sleeve shirt in my bag that was already checked, so I asked a flight attendant if they had a tiny blanket ( It was so cold my jaw was shivering ) And she literally told me you should have brought one, we are not responsible for lending flyers blankets because its too cold.. Could not believe the awful experience I had with this airline. Never again. 1 star is generous."
Pros: "Fast and friendly check-in, crew was funny and courteous. Excellent experience."
Cons: "I thought all the extra fees for EVERYTHING were absurd! The flight was fine and flight attendants were nice but the fees will keep me from ever booking with Spirit again."
Cons: "The baggage cost. VERY difficult to talk to a person in customer service and if you do finally get someone they BARELY speak English and are very difficult to understand. Very cramped on the plane."
Cons: "While the Leg room was ok, the Hip room was not. They can separate the seats an inch each and still maintain the same seating. and giving a couple of inches of hip room."
Pros: "This is the second time in a week that they cancelled the flight and after making us wait for 4 hrs in the airport and don't even compensate"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Once we boarded the plane in Detroit, the pilot announced that he got on the wrong track so we had to wait 30 min. Then he said that we have to wait for 15 more minutes. We ended up leaving with a 2 hour delay! The problems didn't stop here tho. Once we landed in Las Vegas the pilot said the passengers can't leave the plane for 30 more minutes because the crue hasn't set up the device to properly get off the plane. The 30 minutes turned into 45..... Yes, you guessed it, we stayed in the plane even longer than that. After 1 hour We were finally able to leave the plane. So basically what initially was supposed to be a 4 hour flight, Detroit-Las Vegas, turned out to be 7:30 long hours. It safe to say that this is not a way the passengers should be treated by Spirit airlines and if they continue to do so I don't see bright future for this company. People have many other options to use different airline companies!!"
Pros: "Left DTW and arrived Las Vegas on time."
Cons: "Flight crews went along with a group of party atmosphere, disregarding other passengers wishing a quiet flight. They kept serving alcohol to one passenger who became a bit too loud in speaking and wording. He made me feel very unpleasant."
Cons: "We arrived at the airport more tha 1.5 hours in advance of our flight and stood in such a long line that we missed our flight and had to rebook to. Later flight. There were not enough people at the Spirit counter to handle the long lines of people checking in. We had selected our seats in advance of arriving and had printed our boarding passes in advance but had to wait 1.5 hours in line to check one bag that was not a carry on. The customer service person T the counter was rude and not very sympathetic. We do not see ourselves flying Spirit, again."
Cons: "The seats - not comfortable and very difficult to have any sort of comfort when you take a red eye - seats didn't even recline - otherwise - the rest of the trip was good :-)"
Pros: "Drinks to much money for a soda"
Cons: "Spirit has long lines and nickels and dimes you for every single thing. They also do not support military with free checked duffle or seabags and instead charge them extra due to weight."
