We gladly excepted the roomier seating. We were issued new boarding passes, and made our way to our seats. Once we settled in, a flight attendant asked to see my boarding pass. She looked at it and said, "Yep Amber so-and-so, seat 17B." Apparently, the airline had combined 2 flights, so people were all crammed into a new tighter space. There was even a bumped "first class" customer all squabbling over the seats. My traveling partner and I, eventually just asked them to please give us our old seats back. Finally, we were seated in our original seats. We never asked to be moved in the first place, it was offered to us. The whole thing was humiliating, and unnecessary."

Cons: "A red eye that boarded late-- Oof. I tried to upgrade to first class, but it was sold out. I had never been on an upgrade wait list before, so when I (very politely!) asked what my chances were since my name was next up on the screen. The attendant at the service desk was very snippy with me, as if I were being demanding or rude. I had a smile on my face, and spoke in a low voice, wasn't begging or sighing or guffawing. There was no one else at the counter, just me and the attendant who treated me like I was the most annoying loser he'd ever met, for no reason. The flight itself was so cramped that I couldn't sleep, of course. I was hoping to catch some shut-eye on this red eye, because I had to be at work in the morning. No such luck. Alaska really, really, really needs to open a mid-day flight from SEA to ATX. Only 5am and 11pm aren't cutting it, and both flights were jam packed. Six hours is an awfully long layover."

Cons: "Three hour delay due to wiring issues, cramped seating that made it impossible to get even the most basic of maps, and our flight attendant was upset that we didn't notify them that we were vegans in advance. We didn't know that they had vegan options, and weren't upset about not eating the in-flight meals. She was much more upset about it than we were and it made me uncomfortable refusing the food that I knew I couldn't eat. Other passengers even asked us if we had eaten anything. It was almost embarrassing."

Called HoJo’s to confirm they had non-smoking rooms available. Got on the hotel’s shuttle bus and the driver announced that HoJo was full and all voucher holders would go to Rodeway Inn but those without vouchers would go to HoJo....huh!?? Called HoJo and the same person I’d spoken to 20 mins prior said it was correct, that Rodeway was a sister property. The Rodeway Inn Metro Airport is pretty disgusting. This is my opinion after coming from remote Mexico and extensive travel in Africa. It should be torn down. Delta/HoJo should not send customers there."

Cons: "I began asking for my wheelchair escort the minute I got off the plane. I was assured in Houston they would be there when I got to Detroit. They were not. The request was clearly spelled out on my boarding pass along with my personal oxygen equipment information. I kept asking different staff and they would call for me then say somebody would be there. I waited for an entire hour and only when I started to cry did somebody do something. It was terribly stressful."

I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

Cons: "My flight from Detroit to Denver was suppose to land at 1:15 ish and I had an interview to make at 3:30 thinking that I would have plenty of time to grab my bags and and get a cab to greenwood which is where my interview was. The flight was delays almost 3 hours and I was not able to make my interview which was the whole reason I flew to Denver in the first place. I understand that things happen but now Im out of a possible job that I was interviewing for and I am also out the $250 that I spent on the flight. The flight was delayed because they didn't have a crew to fly the plane which blindside is always 20/20 however it seems like pretty poor planning."

I have been in subway bathrooms that were cleaner. This was the first time flying Delta and it will be the last time."

The attendant kindly asked around and unfortunately no one offered their seat. Once all passengers had boarded the plane, the row in front P1's seat had an empty middle seat. The attendant kindly asked the passenger that was sitting next to P1 to move to the seat in that row so that P1 had extra space. It was great to see how attentive and accommodating the attendant was to P1's concerns/needs. Great customer service from him and the rest of the crew staff."

Isn't there some sort of air filter for this?"

I took the stickers off the back for the first time in 5 years of global travel and for the first time, the bag was lost for 3 days. I personally think the person checking in my bag did not like me and intentionally lost my bag. We will never no. As a result I had to purchase $341.86 worth of safety equipment so I could start the job I was on. I never received a refund for my baggage fee. I was not reimbursed for my time and money spend to cover the losses after the airlines failure. I would fly the airline again as long as I was not checking bags."

This morning I arrived to the airport at 6:15 AM for a 7:15 AM flight. I was already checked in and had paid for my checked bag. I was directed to the wrong line to give them my bag. After waiting in this line for about 25 minutes, I was directed to another line. By the time I got up to the an agent - they informed me I was too late by 10 minutes and would be missing my flight. I fly just about every other week for work and this has NEVER happened and would never happen with airlines like Jet Blue, American and Delta. Today I'm missing a very important day of work. In addition to all the costs associated with this flight, cab fares to/from the airport and hotel expenses are totaling just about $200. I will absolutely NEVER fly Spirit again."

I received a confirmation email from Kayak saying that my return flight was on the same day. I checked online at Spirit to see that my return flight was indeed at the correct time I intended (Sunday evening). However, I kept getting flight confirmation emails from Kayak saying my return flight was on Saturday. I tried calling Spirit and Kayak to get this fixed - as it made me worried I didn't have the right flight booked - and could not get any help. I was able to talk with someone about the return flight mixup, but they just promised me a new confirmation email with correct flight times - I never received this email or any relief that my flights were booked properly until I actually got to the airport. That was immensely frustrating and I spent way too much time on hold trying to sort this out."

Pros: "Beyond crowded seating. LITERALLY EVERYTHING COSTS EXTRA. Was kind of surprised there wasn't an extra charge for the air we used while on the plane. Even carry on bags cost BIG $$. I wouldn't fly until I checked other airlines and compare the whole cost involved. Thankfully it was a short flight. I don't know if I could have stayed for a longer one."

Pros: "This is the second time in a week that they cancelled the flight and after making us wait for 4 hrs in the airport and don't even compensate"
Cons: "Once we boarded the plane in Detroit, the pilot announced that he got on the wrong track so we had to wait 30 min. Then he said that we have to wait for 15 more minutes. We ended up leaving with a 2 hour delay! The problems didn't stop here tho. Once we landed in Las Vegas the pilot said the passengers can't leave the plane for 30 more minutes because the crue hasn't set up the device to properly get off the plane. The 30 minutes turned into 45..... Yes, you guessed it, we stayed in the plane even longer than that. After 1 hour We were finally able to leave the plane. So basically what initially was supposed to be a 4 hour flight, Detroit-Las Vegas, turned out to be 7:30 long hours. It safe to say that this is not a way the passengers should be treated by Spirit airlines and if they continue to do so I don't see bright future for this company. People have many other options to use different airline companies!!"
Cons: "No leg room. Delay after delay. The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. Will not fly Spirit again."
Pros: "My random seating put me in a front premium seat - purely by chance."
Cons: "Nickel and dining on everything. Bag under 40 pounds - $50. Any food or drink on plane. Crew joked that they wouldn't charge me for ice. When we landed, there was one baggage carousel being used in the entire airport and it had four simultaneous flights' baggage coming on the same turnstile. We landed before 9 pm and finally got the bag I paid $50 to check at 10:10 pm. Staff was rude, made no apologies and basically had a "just deal with it" attitude."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled a few times and then I had to buy a much more expensive flight because I needed to get to my destination on time. Spirit promised everyone would be booked for another flight ASAP at no extra charge, however I had to book a flight leaving within the next 12 hours. So i bought a new flight and they refused to compensate! I'm going to fight this and never fly spirit again."
Pros: "The price of the ticket was great and the seats were fairly comfortable. They didn't recline but hey, I don't expect to get Waldorf Astoria comfort on a Motel 8 budget. LOL I got better than I expected for the value. This was my first trip with Spirit. I'm sold. As long as I was able to walk off the plane, I'm good. With the money I saved on my ticket I bought me some new outfits on my vacation. I stuffed them in my personal bag and did not have to pay extra. I got a lot in that bag, too; 4 dresses, a top, a skirt and some shoes. I'm good. LOL"

Very late departure and very late arrival. This is a nickle and dime airline. They advertise low fares and then they charge for everything else at ridiculous prices. By the time you pay for all the extras you could have ridden on a better airline where you could at least get a cup of water. Their web site is a horror story when you try to check in as you go through endless windows trying to sell "upgrades." Of course, you can get a nominal discount on your baggage if you purchase some membership for $59.99! Who are they kidding? I would never fly on this airline again.I realize things cost money but I don't like to be treated like an open wallet instead of a valued customer."
