KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to Dubai

  • Since the airlines that offer multiple-stop flights from Detroit Metro Airport (DTT) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) have varying layover destinations, your stopover location will depend on the airline you travel with. If you travel with Delta or Air France, you will lay over at Paris (CDG). On the other hand, if you travel with Air Canada, you'll lay over at Toronto (YYZ).
  • If you'd like to fly to Dubai with an eco-friendly partner, flying with Air France is in your best interest. In attempts to minimize its carbon footprint, this airline has revamped its fleet with modern aircraft with low fuel consumption, invested heavily in sustainable aviation fuel research, funded several environmental projects, implemented several waste management policies, and partnered with certified carbon offset providers.
  • When traveling with Delta, you may bring one carry-on baggage onboard your aircraft and one personal item. To be allowed onboard, your carry-on must fit in the luggage compartment above your seat and measure no more than 22 x 14 x 9 inches, while your personal accessory must be small enough to fit beneath the seat in front of you.
  • You can count on having a smooth experience at DTT and DXB if you have limited mobility. These airports boast wheelchair-accessible restrooms with grab rails, ramps to most of their public areas, strategically placed elevators, and wheelchairs that they provide upon request. At either, you can receive personalized care, given that they boast staff sensitive to the needs of disabled travelers.
  • On an Air Canada flight, you may carry your child on your lap throughout your flight as long as your child is below 2 years old. If you opt for this option, your child's fare will be 10% of the adult fare. If you have two children, you have to purchase the older one his own seat. The seat must be fitted with a child safety seat.

Crew is not the cheerful type. very slow meal service (this is their style as have flown this many times)

Empty seats next to me - wish it had been for a longer flight!!

Flight was on time, staff are friendly and helpful onboard.

Terrible last row seats many seats available but no offer to move to better seat

Delay on my previous leg, had to run to catch my flight. But that happens. Overall ok.

Flight was ok but lack of communication cost me to literally beg to be put on another flight as connecting flight had departed

They forgot to serve food and the crew was very unfriendly. Never experienced such a bad KLM flight. Usually fly from Toronto. New York was different.

Couldn’t get boarding pass in SLC even with help from a redcoat, so had to find a desk in AMS to get boarding pass. Technical problems so not sure why. Very inconvenient. The KLM app is not as user friendly as most apps. Also had to wait almost an hour on the tarmac for a fuel truck, which caused us to miss a connecting bus in LUX.

The immigration hall in Amsterdam was understaffed, so passport checking was slower than it should be for a major airport. They need to get the automatic readers up and running for non EU passport holders. Waiting in line after a long flight feels a bit abusive.

Over 1 Hr delay. No APU so no AC on ground. Plane was hot during boarding and then they closed the doors over 20 minutes before engine start so interior of plane was steamy hot and stuffy. Could have been helped by opening doors until ready to depart.

Everything went well except the turbulence what no one have a control of but pilot and crew handled very good!

There was no WiFi available, there were mechanical problems with the plane and we landed at C 124, then the gate was switched to A 26, then all the way back to C126! For a 75 yo woman traveling alone, this was a difficult journey, indeed!

This trip did not start off well. The inbound flight was delayed about 20 minutes. Then, after initial onboarding, the passengers had to deplane due to a mechanical problem. That took about 30 minutes to fix and be cleared. Then, reboarding was chaotic. It took a long time to sort passengers and two passengers on standby were ticketed but there was no seat. So, they had to deplane. One of the flight crew was trying to help passengers figure out a place to put their carry-on bags and that took more time. In the end, our scheduled 10:30 am departure did not actually take off until about 12:05 pm CST. The flight itself was long but we got to Houston. Some passengers missed their connecting flights and had to rebook. Not the best of flights I've had.

Staff were good. My seat was in need of repair, but for a short flight was not problematic. Usual basic snack and drink setup that you'll find on any US carrier. Over, a decent, basic flight.

Complimentary light meal would be appreciated. But great flight crew service on all legs

Terrible because it was cancelled due to volcanic ash clouds in Guatemala while all other airlines kept flying. Had to pay for a hotel to stay overnight in Houston and try to fly next day.

Flight delayed for more than 16 hrs and no effort was spent to provide an alternate

We got delayed three hours and nobody thought to have the bathroom fixed while we were sitting waiting to board? took a full hour to have maintenance come and check it off. Had to shut the bathroom down twice so that the pilots could go to the bathroom. Everyone missed their connections.

Flight left on time and we arrived 25 minutes early! There was a gate available when we arrived so early on a busy Sunday afternoon! Flight attendants came around twice with the drinks cart.

Wonderful. Quick boarding. Early departure and we arrived 30 minutes early at our destination. Unfortunately, when you arrive early, there is still a departing aircraft at our gate. We had to park for 30 minutes until the gate was clear. So our early arrival was not really early at the gate. Otherwise it was a quick and smooth flight. Appreciated the efficiency.

Business Class pods are horrible. If you're petite, you might be able to sleep on the uncomfortable seat and bed. Crew and food are fantastic.

I have travelled many times on Turkish, but they always board at least 30-40 minutes past the stated time. If informed properly, passengers can choose to spend more time in the .lounge instead of standing around by the gate waiting to board. The new lounge at DFW was a big disappointment. The aircraft itself was a shock. In the past I have flown this sector with regular business class seating configuration of 1-2-1, The 2-3-2 seating is very disappointing after paying such high prices for tickets. The DFW to Istanbul segment was slightly better, but the Istanbul to Delhi segment was no better than premium economy. I will try to travel more on airlines which give business class passengers more value for their money.

Good overall. Seat spacing a bit tight between IST and ISB.

Excellent staff despite some trying passenger situations. Very impressed with their good attitudes and kindness.

Crew were unfriendly, touch screen for movies didn't work very well, seats were tight and uncomfortable

After arriving in Istanbul, the transit information on the electronic board showed a tight departure time, and the gate changed in the middle, making it difficult to make it on time.

Typically good service onboard but baggage delay in airport was significant

My, Syed Zawar Hussein Shirazi frequently flyer membership number was not included on my boarding pass from O’Hare to Istanbul despite my reminder to the attendant at check in. Further she forgot to give me my boarding pass form Istanbul to Lahore and she needs to improve her customer service, please 🙏

Everything about that day was great I was happy with how things went as a first time traveling with the airline thank you for all that you’ve doing by taking us there to our various destinations thanks.

They oversold the tickets by one which was my ticket so I didn’t have a ticket till last second
