I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

But the worst part as after landing we waited for a very long time for the plane to pull up to a gate (unnecessarily burning fuel and poluting the environment). And finally we waited another very long time for the doors of the plane to be opened for disembarkation. More than 3/4 of an hour waiting on the ground after a one hour flight very late in the evening. As a result I hat to take a cab home from the airport. Now I will try my best to not fly Westjet."

On this flight the agent at the gate was very rude when I asked about checking my bag, lecturing me about the size of the bag and insisting she would have to charge me if it was a full flight, which she said it wasn’t. It ended up fitting just fine in the overhead. Totally soured my experience. I will not use this airline again."

The crew apologized but it should not have happened in the first place while the aircraft was flying smoothly and there was no turbulence of any kind at that time."

No more flights to Penticton, so I had to take a flight to Kelowna after 6:00pm or fly the next day. I met a couple to share a ride to Penticton once I reached Kelowna. My luggage was lost in Calgary and so I went on to Penticton, to Osoyoos. The next day, West Jet delivered my suitcase to me. I appreciate the voucher I was given to buy a few things and the promptness of my luggage. We live in Canada, the weather in the winter can be quite an annoyance and so it was last week."

Also, I never received a breakfast (it was an 11 hour flight). I might have been asleep, not sure but then again once I was awake, no flight attendant came to ask if I wanted breakfast. In other words, while flight personnel was polite, they did not provide a very attentive service (and there were only 11 of us in the AM Premier business sections)."

Pros: "Boarding went smoothly."
Cons: "Aeromexico was unable to provide the boarding pass for our second flight on the itinerary (operated by Delta) when we checked in in Mexico City (our checked bags were tagged all the way to Minneapolis though). They informed us that we would need to go to the Delta ticket counter when we arrived in Cancun (with a short layover). This is an unacceptable level of service."

Cons: "Due to the earthquakes, the film festival I was going to was cancelled. Ten days prior to the flight I called AeroMexico to cancel and they said there would be a cancellation penalty, which was fine. When I tried to redeem my credit, they said there was also an additional "No-show fee" even though I called to cancel 10 days prior, which left a total of $70 credit after all their penalties. I called and emailed to complain but they did nothing but pass me to someone else who was equally unhelpful. I will never fly AeroMexico for any reason in the future."

Pros: "Brand new plane. Lots of extra leg room coming from a guy of 6 ft."

Pros: "On time flight, extremely efficient crew, comfortable seats, entertainment, meal, drinks."
Cons: "Boarding, paid for upgrade but was second to last zone to board, leaving me to scramble for Room for carry on. Flight crew was friendly enough except for one, she seemed put off by everyone on board, but especially me. Lol. Basically threw the tray of food on my table and on the backside, pulled tray before I was done. She hopefully was having a bad day."

Pros: "Aeromexico provides blankets; particularly useful on this overnight flight. The snack - such as it is - is certainly a step above what I get when I fly the same route on United. Also the entertainment system is much better, and free! This includes the flight map, although this was not functioning on the Calgary - Mexico City leg of my trip. Cabin staff are friendly and efficient. I paid extra for the exit row on the Calgary-Mexico City leg. Unfortunately, the cabin crew put another passenger in the seat adjacent to me, so I lost my expected room to stretch out. I'm tall, and this really affected my comfort on this long overnight flight."
Cons: "In-flight map wasn't working. Beer, scotch or red wine are not available, although other alcoholic beverages are available, apparently without charge. Mexico City is a terrible airport to have to pass through. Everyone has to go through Immigration (similar to US airports in that regard) even if just in transit. However, they have few officers there, and almost half of the available booths weren't even manned. The result was chaos, with the immigration hall filled with grouchy travellers, and other travellers stuck in aircraft waiting to disembark. Expect to be stuck in Immigration for a minimum of an hour after landing; maybe plan on 1 1/2 hours just to get through Immigration and Customs. And if you are making a connection, whatever you do don't go through the sliding doors on the other side of Customs - I made that mistake once!"

Cons: "My bags were left at origin airport (SFO), now I have 2 kids in cancun that can't go to the pool because we have no clothes, I will need to figure out tomorrow what to do. Not happy right now!"

Pros: "We will unfortunately think twice about ever flying with AeroMexico! We think they are terribly disorganized, the lines for counters and loading were OBSCENLY LONG - AND - THEY LOST OUR LUGGAGE! It took them 2 days to return my husbands backpack and 3 days to return my suitcase. 'Customer service' was a joke and the online form system seemed to be glitchy and/or broken. Grrrrrrr..."
Cons: "Bad customer service, nobody on the phone (when we could actually reach a human) knew what was going on! The online lost luggage forms were a total broken mess. Disorganized and LONG lines :("

Pros: "Tv, left and were on time to destination."
Cons: "Flights did not have gate number assigned until 1 hour before. In Lima we could not get ticket via kiosk. We waited until three hours before to get tickets at the counter. One hour of the time waiting was a team meeting of employees in front of the ticket stand while the line grew to 60-70 people. None of the employees acknowledged the line until they were done."

Pros: "The New airplanes. great crew with excellent team work concepts"

Cons: "The stewardess screaming at me. Their overall lack of understanding that I suffer from a severe fear of flying and amclaustrophobic on planes. Seated me in a middle seat in emergency row, which completely freaked me out and then moved me to a seat with solid metal armrests that my larger body could not fit into, then yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of dozens of passengers until a man offered to change seats with me. Completely unprofessional staff and terrible experience. Not only did I arrive to TJ 5 hrs late, I was traumatized."

Pros: "Nice little meal and complimentary tequila, and nice flight crew."

Cons: "I asked the agent to find us seats with Legroom as i am over 6'2 and mostly legs. he charged us $40 extra per ticket. the seat #'s were 10 E and F so we assumed it was a comfort plus seat.. NOPE! knees against the sat in front of me.. in the CENTER of a 9 seat row. the flight was sold out.. now place to Move.. FURIOUS and feeling ripped off!"

Pros: "The only positive factor about this specific flight was the staff who is very diligent and attentive to everyone."
Cons: "Once we got on the plane, the pilot mentions there is a delay due to the AC not functioning but they are fixing it. We took off and the AC apparently was never fixed because it was out for the whole flight. On top of that there was basically no entertainment on flight. Those two things are basic when flying."

Then they moved it back another 5-6 hours and everyone waited in line for another two hours to get things sorted out before they cancelled it. Also when I exited From Cabo they made me go through security all over again because they had no boarding pass for this flight. Big waste of time and money."

Pros: "I managed to slip ahead a couple of rows into what I guess was a slightly upgraded seating area. This resulted in my flight being very nice. But had I not been able to pull off this minor theft, I think it would have been miserable. Sitting up straight, without the seat ahead of me reclined, my knees touched the back fo the seat in front of me. It felt like I was sitting at a table in a kindergarten classroom, not a chair meant for an adult. In the upgraded seat I was very comfortable. Staff on board was friendly and helpful throughout the flight."
Cons: "I haven't flown American Airlines in quite a while and one gets quite spoiled flying on Emirates or Qatar or Singapore or Norwegian or whatever other airlines. It's easy to forget how utterly mediocre AA is. The food isn't great, the air quality on the flight is terrible and leaves you feeling oily. They don't air-condition the plane until after everyone is boarded so the whole process is hot, sweaty, and unpleasant. Many of the staff are flat out rude to people (I was never on the receiving end, but I overheard what I considered very abrasive tones to others). And so on. Ideally I'd fly on other airlines I think."

Cons: "The flight attendant when first boarding was extremely rude. We had a bag we brought on three previous legs of our total travel which was considered by all of the other attendants as a personal item. This particular attendant very rudely informed us it was not, and we needed to check it. When we tried to explain the previous flights she responded with “I just explained this to the other passengers...it’s not allowed.” We didn’t argue, and gave the bag to the personnel in attendance, but the tone for the duration of the flight continued."

Pros: "The gate attendants and on-board crew were lovely. Pilots provided info which was great and made up some of the long delay."
Cons: "There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late,that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."

Cons: "Plane left FRA 25 min late and occured more delay during flight. Came into DFW with 50 min delay and had to go through TSA again for connecting flight - why? So missed the connecting flight to LAX and had to get rebooked."

Cons: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Pros: "The crew were wonderful and very attentive. The food was excellent and served almost continuously - and free! Seats were comfortable and roomy enough to move around. Flight was not full and we were able to lie down to sleep a little."

Pros: "The American Airlines crews and people manning the desk erred very professional. Yes, this particular flight was conducted by American for Iberia under a share code. So whatever horror stories you have heard of about European Iberia flights, the one I took was fine. But the airline's crew is being let down."
Cons: "In Chicago, our flight was delayed at least three hours for a "GPS update." The crews said the software wasn't even handshaking. Okay. But I have a feeling this is common, and wish the airline would figure out a way to conduct updates, safely, without impacting everyone's schedule. My wife flew through same connection on the same airline a week later. And her flight was canceled. Maybe for the same issue? Unsure. It could have been a a bad luck streak."

Boarding pass didn't have my TSA FTN so had to go back. Could not check luggage curbside. Got seat in last row when I noticed boarding pass had no seat assignment. They lost my luggage at SFO. There's more, but..."
