When we arrived at Logan airport, we were told by TAP the flight is overbooked, but there is a chance we will get seats. We did get seats at the last moment, always kept abreast by TAP representatives. The flight was a non-stop flight, leaving at 6 PM arriving by 6 AM, far better than the connections with changes the day before."

We waited 5 hours to rebook a destination back to the USA and traveling lasted 24hours. Right now I'm not sure if I'll be refunded my tickets for thedomestic airline flight. WE will NEVER want to fly out of Frankfurt and especially with Lufthansa. I have to say the people at the service counters were very nice and helpful but it took 5 hours to get serviced and were missed 2 possible connecting flights. Lufthansa was a good airline but that was 20 years ago. The airport is too big now has too many delays so I'll avoid it at all cost."

The seats were smaller in Economy Class than on competitor carriers. The lavs were unattended to during the 7 hour flight and, consequently, were filthy during the last hour or two. The food was mediocre, at best, but at least the cocktails were not an upcharge. Enough alcohol can make just about any food palatable."

The windows had ice on them (on the outside of course). Several people got up and wore their jackets and sweaters in addition to the blankets. In the Economy section the temperature was just fine (my husband sat there) and we had to alternate seats so that I don't freeze. He paid extra for me to have a more comfortable arrangement, but it ended up being way too cold. That did not happen on the way to Europe..."

So I missed my early afternoon connecting flight to Detroit. Air Canada could not get me out until the next evening and was quite rude. They did not put me up in a hotel or give me food vouchers until I complained. When I complained, they were able to get me on a flight the next morning rather than the next evening. The food was mediocre at best."

Cons: "I specifically booked my trip based on a 6 HR travel time. Because I was re-routed, it tacked another 4 hrs onto my trip time. I could have driven to where I was going for a fraction of the cost. It's so frustrating to fly now a days, the massive crowds, grumpy airline workers and delayed flights. I'm going to start driving more... Sick of the hassle with commercial flights."

Made it home 1.5 days later. They lost my bag, bag made it home 3 days later. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."

Cons: "If you show up before 45 minutes before your departure you won't be able to check in your bag. I had a flight at 5:39 and went to check in my bag at 4:50, and I was told I was too late. Why make the 45 minute rule if you won't stick to it?"

Cons: "Very little baggage space. It seems half the flight was forced to check their bags at the gate, which delayed us. Seats seem very close together. I do NOT like the TVs in our faces. Yes, I can turn mine off, but many people leave them. Also, it keeps coming back on on its own. They had issues with the safety video at the start that delayed us. Had to do a live safety demo, and then the thing came on anyway as we took off. Seems like United is having lots of technical difficulties these days."
