The whole trip took twice as long as it should have."
Not only was my bag not on the flight. They didn't notify me until 7pm where my bag was. My flight was at 10:35am. I was left for 2 days without a toothbrush and lotion, face cream and charger and clothing. I still haven’t actually received my bag but they say it’s on the next flight. Major hassle. So rude that they must have known right away my bag wasn’t on the flight but they failed to let anyone know. I thought my luggage was stolen at the baggage claim. Major stress. Messing up my vacation. They want me to submit receipts to compensate for me having to to buy replacement stuff but the damages were more than just having to buy a new toothbrush. It was the stress and anxiety that was the major problem.

No thanks to the person at the terminal. Really long walk from the gate to the plane. No food on a cross country flight. Only a few cups of water/soda and a cookie. which unfortunately is typical now days. The lights were off the whole trip. The captain kept turning on the seat belt sign for the turbulence. Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."

Never got a clean up or a second drink. Had to interrupt the glam squad from their phones and make up bringing them our dirty glasses and trash asking for a second drink. Not impressed with this crew at all! Normally AA IS TOP KNOTCH. So it sets the standard that we’ve been accustomed to however complete and total letdown on this flight"

Flight canceled and rescheduled three times. The messed up the rescheduling and there wasn’t a customer service desk at the airport to help resolve. The rescheduled flight had such a tight layover that my baggage didn’t make it, and now I have no luggage. This after waiting an hour after deplaning with the rest of the passengers for our bags are baggage claim before the first bag came out. Again, no customer service counter. When I call, the IVR keeps saying go to the customer service counter at the airport, which they told me doesn’t exist at the airport, a frustrating catch 22. No one has answered after 20 min on hold. I will not fly with air Canada again.
Communication needs to be improved. YUL was training a new x-ray operator. It took 45 minutes for 8 people to go through the security line. The airport was understaffed. Notifications that the Air Canada flight was delayed was not communicated to passengers waiting at the gate until after take-off time lapsed -twice. There are not enough Air Canada gate agents to staff counters. Boarding was slow as passengers who had complicated “issues” with documentation were dealt with one at a time instead of being “triaged”, holding up the single line of boarding passengers. The flight itself was fine. No one employee is at fault. There are systematic issues with Air Canada management that impact the customer experience. These problems represent management and leadership failures.

Because of this proximity to the horrible scene we could not see completing this trip. The Air Canada staff understood and accommodated our need change plans. They arranged for us to fly directly home rather than to our planned stop in Las Vegas."

Cons: "THe previous flight that we took, on June 20th, from Las Vegas to Toronto, was cancelled at the last minute. As we had a tightly-scheduled flight to Amsterdam, we missed that connection. There was no notification given prior to the cancellation, just suddenly came up on the monitors at McCarren Airport. No explanation was offered. THe flight that we were transferred to arrived in Toronto too late to get us onto our Amsterdam flight, and so Air Canada personnel gave us vouchers for food and tried to book us a hotel room. We were ferried to 3 hotels, and turned away at all of them, an dwound up sleeping on the flor of the kid's area at TOranto Airport. we finally got to Amsterdam a day late.and had our trip upgraded to business class for our trouble. I have no quarrel with the treatment that we received from Air Canada personel. THey were very patient and gracious, in spite of a number of irate passengers in the same situation that we were in. However, the failure to have accomodations for stranded travelers was exemplary of poor planning on the part of administration, not personnel. I am really torn as to whether or not to use Air Canada again. WHen it is good, it is very good, but when iit is bad, it is the worst that I've ever experienced."

Arrived early for the flight at 6am in the morning and was told it wasn't going until 2.40pm that afternoon because of a maintenance issue. Was not notified, air canada said it was a non refundable ticket and I missed my meeting. Terrible service and they were not flexible at all. Only bought this new ticket because my existing ticket was not able to get me to my meeting on time, so it was a complete waste of money"

Pros: "The comfort of a Dash 8 was surprising. The seats have a suitable amount of leg room which I'm actually scared to mention so they don't add an extra seat to each row to take it away. Not too much, not too small, just right for a 6 foot man to not have his knees pressed against the seat in front for the whole ride"
Cons: "Where to start? Dash 8's shake, rattle and roll for the whole trip. Felt like we could fall out of the sky at any time. Staff don't care. Split our group after rescheduling due to aircraft issues despite seats available on both connectors. Said to wait until next stop to fix. Next stop said nothing they can do since we checked a bag. Put 2 hours between arrivals just because they can. Blamed it on the computer. Did provide a $10 meal voucher. Good to know Air Canada values my total trip delay time at $2/hr"

Cons: "Got stuck with the last row of seats. I never previously had the last row for a flight but to be honest it was definitely the worst seats on the plane. What makes it worse was these were not tickets I bought last week but on united economy they only give you seat selection just days prior and no explanation as to why you are placed in a particular row. Stuck near the bathroom and the seats do not decline at all though they deceptively provide the button to recline your seats. Horrible experience and one more reason to not fly United."

I will never fly united again"

It is so disgusting that I am a frequent flyer via United Airlines and getting more and more dissatisfied cause of the troubles I'm encounterring flying with United Airlines! I should think twice,the next time I'm booking with the airline for my next flight!"

Cons: "I collect disability each month so I am on a very tight budget. The Spanish speaking woman that pushed my wheelchair told me that I can bring my water bottles full of water through the metal detectors. I asked if she could take me somewhere to pour them out and refill them on the other side. They threw them away at the metal detector. So I had to buy a new bottle for my medicine that I have to take. You would think she would have got it by me carrying these bottles around but nope. She actually said to me that I can give her gratuity now if I wanted. I gave her $1. She then replied in a sarcastic voice " Thankyou you are soooo generous. I don't like feeling obligated to tip somebody because I am disabled and have a bullet in my head."
