Pros: "The in flight entertainment tablet I rented ($10) was really nice. It had some very new movies, fun games and more on it. Most of the flight crew was kind and polite, minus one woman who seemed to hate her job and the airline. I was pleased that the flight wasn't canceled as many others into PDX had been that day due to an ice storm. Felt safe even with turbulence and threat of a slippery landing."

She openly expressed frustration with Alaska in front of passengers on multiple occasions and was very rude and brusque with us customers. She made me feel like a nuisance for even just being on the flight. Otherwise the seats were just so small and uncomfortable. It was a long flight to feel smushed and have a sore tailbone from the total lack of padding."

Cons: "The flight attendants on board the plane were amazing and I'm sure equally as frustrated as the passengers. The gates were mixed up at the airport. We were told we had to move gates and would be delayed one hour. One hour turned into two and just before noon they told us to rush boarding. If we didn't take off by noon the pilots would time out. They timed out and we had to deplane. Alaskan was not telling us very much information and we were again delayed until 2:15. We started boarding at about 1:35 and we sat on the plane until well after 2:15. Apparently there were mechanical issues and again we had to deplane. We, as were all of the other passengers, were extremely upset. They couldn't tell us what was going to happen. A supervisor came out and basically said I can refund you, you can rebook, or you can wait it out. There were limited spaces on flights for the next day. Finally, at 4:30, they boarded us again and took off at 5. The whole experience was extremely upsetting. Overall, we were delayed 7 and a half hours. We missed a whole day of vacation and lost money, with very little remorse or compensation from Alaskan airlines."

Thankfully there was another passenger giving out beadryl. many people sneezing the whole flight. The passenger with the cat was nice, giving chocolate to all the flight attendants. At one point he had the cat out on His lap petting it... I was waken from my sleep with my eyes swollen shut and sneezing. you will see other complaints about this flight... As for me, I want my upgrade refunded. I did not eat, I did not watch movies.... I did not get to enjoy my flight."

I had to ask him every time if he could take away my glass and then my wrappers and then my...well everything. Many people from the main cabin came up front to use the first class bathroom, and he didn't stop them. He abruptly woke he up three times with his loud voice talking with passengers...with no regard of the sleeping passengers. He is more suited for the main cabin. He didn't offer any help when I was struggling to put my bag in the overhead bin. He watched as the young lady flight attendant struggled to open the plane door... I did not feel that the cost for first class was worth it. He never responded when I thanked him for each thing he did...nothing...not, "You're welcome" or "my pleasure." So, it was a first class disappointment."

Pros: "Flight attendants took safety seriously: 'Wendy' explained the safety features clearly with easy-to-understand cadence and tone. (The reminder is important especially for infrequent holiday travelers. On many other recent flights, an elementary-school delivery that simply recites the words was harder to understand and too common.) The other attendant kept his actions synchronized with her words. (In contrast, on another flight the attendants clearly had not practiced together, so demonstrations did not match the words, making me worry about how they would communicate and coordinate if there was an emergency.) 'Wendy' memorized passengers' last names in 1st class, so it was always clear when she was speaking to me even when I wasn't looking. She held off serving while I tried to sleep, and kindly asked me several times when she spotted my eyes opening. The spinach salad and the cheesecake (minus the sugar syrup topping) were delicious. I did not use the entertainment. I was happy not to hear the sound from my neighbor watching entertainment on the Alaska Air tablet with earphones."
Cons: "The Alaska Air check-in desk was hard to find from the street after being dropped off by the rental-car van. It was hidden behind the agriculture inspection conveyor and x-ray. Bold Hawaiian Air signs were clear on the back wall to the left, and Delta signs were visible on the right side wall, but the Alaska counter signs on the back wall behind the equipment were not visible. A large Alaska Air sign next to the conveyor was angled the wrong way. After more than five minutes of walking back and forth from the security queue to the conveyor belt, I finally spotted a small (maybe 6inch by 8inch) Alaska Airlines sign on a queuing pole near the sidewalk past the conveyor belt. I guess the problem is the facility does not permit signs hanging from the roof? So a larger sign between two tall queuing poles under the edge of the roof, like a gate, might help. I guess the sign next to the conveyor belt must not confuse people to put their bags on the belt prematurely? It could have large arrows pointing to the right away from the conveyor belt. Maybe it could be curved so it is visible from the main street as well as from the right."

Cons: "kids crying for 90% of the flight a couple rows away. pilot would keep fasten seatbelt sign lit for long periods even though there was no turbulence. Then when the slightest turbulence arrived he/she would turn it back on immediately. Makes for going to bathroom a gambling proposition and snarky comments from flight attendants for those who decided to stay in line for bathrooms."

My son had to use the bathroom quite a few times and my 1 yr old was asleep the attendants helped my son walk to the bath and walked him back to his seat! I'm thankful they could help because moving through the seats just seemed impossible with my sleeping toddler!"

I was called back by Kayak minutes after I finally got off the phone to be told That flight was now canceled. Another hour on the phone to get to a 3rd flight arranged. I arrived early and saw everyone sitting around, went to the counter to be told this flight was now delayed. Also was told that the EARLIER Flight I had been changed to, Went off on Time! So I was Lied to. Waited hours as they moved the departure time 4 times! Went through an agonizing security search. Took an hour in a freezing plane to get to Pittsburgh. Missed my flight OF Course and had to pay money for a ticket change and go stand by, barely getting on a connecting flight. I call it the Travel Day From Hell!!!"

Didn't know what to expect when I got to Lancaster but it was really easy. I'm going to do it again. Hour and a half plan ride is better then 15 hour drive"

Cons: "I had this airline booked several times (4 flights to be exact) and every. single. time. the flight was either cancelled or changed in some way. In the first instance, the second leg was moved three hours ahead, causing the second leg to depart before the first one, so I had to cancel it. In the second, the first leg was moved three hours before the initial departure time, and I had to cancel it due to scheduling issues. The third time I tried to take this airline, the first leg was cancelled completely and in turn my return flight was also cancelled. Each time, they informed be THE NIGHT BEFORE the flight was supposed to leave that it was either cancelled or modified. Had I not booked all four of these flights at once months in advance, I wouldn't have booked it again after the first instance. Do you know how expensive it is to find alternate transportation THE NIGHT BEFORE you are trying to travel? I will never attempt to fly this airline again. They have a lot of work to do to gain the trust of their passengers and they are not doing it right by any means in my opinion."

Cons: "I traveled with a colleague from Dulles to Morgantown. Three issues arose: 1. We could not find the ticket counter at Dulles, and no one we asked knew where it was. This could easily be resolved by adding info about how to find the counter to the airline website. 2. My colleague's return flight was canceled and she was never notified. 3. When I went to check in for my return flight, I was told that I was not on the boarding list. It took 30 minutes to get me added to the list even though I had my confirmation. When I asked for an explanation the man at the ticket counter shared: "They're crazy [the customer service]. This happens all the time." Complete incompetence."

Pros: "Great Crew, very pleasant. It was nice to be away from all the frustrations common in the main airports and to get to wait with my family right up to boarding time."
Cons: "The plane left over 4 hours after departure time. It also took a while to figure out that this airline is not based within the main airport (at both DFW and MEM airports at least) and the address for the actual boarding place was not included in any communication prior to the flight. No compensation for inconveniences caused."

Pros: "Everyone was super friendly"
Cons: "I was the only person on the flight. That was kinda weird. But it was a smooth, easy flight and I would definitely use them again."

Pros: "I just loved Southern. It was so easy. I avoided the hassle of the main airport, the parking problems and the waiting in line. Everyone was so friendly. I will definitely fly Southern again!"

Pros: "The crew was nice and comforting. I was nervous because it was my first time on a 9 seater plane but the ride was surprisingly smooth"

Cons: "I never even ended up on the plane. The departure time came and went with no communication from the desk agents I was sitting 10 feet away from. No communication about the flight being delayed was given until I asked. It was 3 hours later when they unceremoniously cancelled the flight. And because it was weather-related I didn't receive any of my money back. Worst travel day ever."
