Cons: "I am a very experienced international traveler with approximately 25 countries visited and many of them multiple times. This flight set my new benchmark for a international coach flight. Staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. Great leg room and entertainment. Even the in flight meal and snacks were good. I was not looking forward to my domestic connection with Delta. Unfortunately, Delta met my anticipated expectation. US based carriers could learn a lot from Lufthansa."

And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

Cons: "To Whom It May Concern, My name is Eliezer Korbman. I was a passenger on LH403 with service to Frankfurt, Germany. Upon reaching cruising altitude and prior to dinner service, a Lufthansa stewardess reached across my midsection, activated the reclining mechanism and forcefully returned my seat to its upright position - waking me up to eat. (You may conduct your own investigation, but there was no prior announcement.) I politely declined, but was later denied dinner and breakfast. To clarify, I was unable to eat or sleep. This is utterly disgusting service. I am incredibly disappointed in Lufthansa for the way that I was treated aboard LH403. Unless I can be persuaded otherwise, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Garbage service! Shame on you Lufthansa!"

Cons: "Unreliable domestic Lufthansa flights (in Germany) connected to this international one, and the departure time history for this LH400 proved typical for this flight, which ultimately left nearly 2 hours late despite good local weather. An announcement cited technical difficulties with the originally scheduled plane. Several small groups we recognized from embarkation on this LH400 flight filed lost luggage claims, as we did. Uncharacteristically bad planning by LH on food choices left our rows near the front of Economy without a choice of meals: only pasta, tasty though it was, was available. The chicken option was gone. The flight status video program function did not work for anybody near us despite three equipment restarts by the crew."

Pros: "I flew round-trip in Business Class from Munich to Kiev and then back to Germany via Frankfort and both flights were on time. The dedicated business class check-in line and advance boarding process was smooth - as were both flights. The cabin crew on both flights were very good and all spoke English well. My chief complaint is with the European Business Class seating model (3 across with center seat empty) - which does not afford much more leg room or seat pitch than in economy class. On the plus side you don't have to get in a fist-fight with anyone over the overhead bin storage problem since there are less people in business class and hence more storage space."

Cons: "I feel that the there should be NO reclining of seats in the economy section. There is about 10-12 inches of space between my face and the seat back if the seat in front is not reclined. If it is reclined , this distance is reduced to 6-8 inches. Too, too close. And reclining does not add much to the comfort of the sitting position. When the person in front of me reclines, then I am almost forced to recline so I have enough room."

The staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable. I appreciated them refilling my cup right after being served a drink because I was thirsty and had immediately drank the first cup. The movie selection was pretty good but could have had more up to date movies. I liked the touch screens."

Cons: "Charging customers for meals on a transatlantic flight is a terrible way to nickel and dime your customers for the most basic provisions. Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

I have no issue whatsoever with the 23kg allowance per bag but the process for checking your bag, especially if you were over the limit and what the consequences may be were not obvious. My wife and I had two bags, mine was 4kg under the allowance and my wife's was 2kg over. If I had known this was going to be a potential GBP45 charge we would have shuffled things about to balance the bags. It needs to be made clear to people that they can actually weigh their bags first to find this out. My bag was already tagged and gone when we went through a lot of hassle to reduce my wifes bag weight. Anyway, this is a suggestion so that future passengers do not encounter the same frustration."

Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."

Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. To be fair, the crew did offer me a free glass of wine to go with it, which was a nice touch."

I found plenty of other flights for same or even cheaper prices with quality airline companies like Lufthansa or Air Canada that include a meal and checked baggage and other perks, but in my case I had already booked. I really recommending you looking for other airline companies for any flight that is not short haul. WestJet's slogan is an airline company with owner that care... Whatever the hell that means. Maybe someone can explain? WestJet brags about it's outstanding customer service while at the same time cutting every corner possible on service. Kind of a contradiction."

Cons: "Flying out on December 24, the airline kept us at the airport for 6 (including 2 hours on the plane) hours before cancelling the flight because they could not get water pressure to the washrooms. We were supposed to leave for London (LHR) at 8:35pm and were notified of the cancellation at approx 2am on December 25. The only other flight that would be available would be on December 25 at the same time the 24th flight was supposed to leave. The service desk was not taking any requests for finding or re-booking flights, we were supposed to call their support number at 7am on the following day. We were offered cab fare accommodation from and back to the airport. They offered hotel stay which I passed on. They provided $60 of airport food that could only be used at certain restaurants, not compatible to purchase chips or drinks (non-alcoholic) from other stores. The coupons as compared to Air Canada, which are valid for a year were only valid for 24 hours. In the end the only "monetary" compensation I got from WestJet was 250 westjet dollars that expire in 12 months."

They never ever did. I also tried to change the dates and the handling fee + fair difference was like 1200 SGD (are you joking?) they simply told me, prices fluctuate... Finally I went to the check in counter desperate. The staff even refused to talk to me about my situation because simply, "there is no BA ticket office in Singapore" and told me to call them. I said the office is closed, but they are like, yeah just call them. They swept me off like a moron. Extremely arrogant, impatient, insensitive. I paid 900 SGD for nothing and a whole week of anxiety and regret. I will never take this and I will never use Cheaptickets or Kayak"

Which I did now but the first phone # I called, the guy said that I had to call this other #. I called the # he gave me and a recording comes out that they are too backed up with calls and cannot help me to go to the website. At the website, they are asking for the flight # of the re-booked flight (I only have my original flight #'s on my email). I don't know what happened to the ticket they gave me to board the re-booked flight so I don't have it. I don't know where else to call about my refund and also think I deserve some kind of compensation for missing a day at both airports (Chicago & London) with horrible treatment and service. CAN YOU HELP ME ON HOW TO TALK TO A REPRESENTATIVE ABOUT MY REFUND AND SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION?"

Cons: "Having fully boarded the plane, and with no prior indication at all, it was then announced that we wouldn't be leaving for another 2 1/2 hours because of an air traffic control strike in Italy. Instead of allowing us to stay in the terminal, we sat in tiny seats for longer than the flight itself was scheduled to be, with no offer of any refreshments. The pilot who made the announcement made it seem like a minor inconvenience and got the times wrong twice. Of course the strike isn't their fault but their handling of it couldn't have been worse."
