Cons: "The flight itself was great but it was very late in starting due to technical problems with the aircraft."

Pros: "The crew was ok, very uncomfortable seat, I had an isle seat and everyone bumped into my shoulder. I never had to pay for checked baggage in a transatlantic flight, it’s not my first time flying. I was also asked to check my carry on, to what I declined for personal reasons."

The app didn't advise that the flight was boarding (unlike other apps such as BA). I missed my flight and they insisted on charging me more than what I paid for the entire ticket just to return home. I got back to London to find that my luggage didn't make the journey. Staff at Air Canada were unfriendly and unprofessional."

He was suffering from food poisoning from the previous flight and was unable to hold it in before the plane took off. They were very gracious with making sure that he had sufficient vomit bags and after the fasten seat belt light turned off, they allowed him to move seats in order to sit closer to the bathrooms. While this was a very difficult journey for him, the crew made it slightly more bearable."

Cons: "My son had no tv monitor (broken?0 the entire trip with no resolution to the issue. We asked flight crew several times to see what could be done and were told they would reset it. We have very little confidence that was done and no other resolution was pursued. The plane was not very clean and the smell of one of the bathrooms was terrible."

It was VERY chilly in the last third of the flight and there was no way to locate personnel, or even a call button in the darkened plane to ask for one.Finally I climbed up on my seat (short people cannot reach the overhead bins on this plane) to get my coat out of the overhead bin and passed the last hours bundled up in that. While water was passed out frequently, collecting cups and bottles, not to mention the remnants of the snack or meals was not high on the priority list and eventually we were sitting in a trash pile. Bravo for having luggage available as soon as we got through customs!"

Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand."

Cons: "I think Kayak wasn't clear that Lufhansa and United are partners....all that Kayak put on my ticket was United. When I went to JFK I could not find United international and the airport info people said it's Lufhatnasa and then when I went to Schipol airport and went to Lufhtansa they said there is a United international check in. Kayak cost me a lot of walking and delays because they were not clear on what airline out of which airport."

Cons: "Where to start.... they "delayed" my flight for 11 hrs from 5:55pm to 0700am due to "weather" so no hotel or food vouchers would be issued. THEY ALSO SAID "don't bother going stand by for the other two flights leaving this evening as they will be overbooked or "cancelled" as well. When I walked to customer service they stated it was NOT cancelled but rather "rescheduled due to operational issues" then they put me on stand by for the next flight leaving in a couple hours. I boarded that flight only to be pulled out of my seat the last second before the gate closed saying there was an error and there were two "Fishers" and I was in one of thier seats. After closing the door and departing the gate the agent said "whoops" I guess it was a small child that was to be on the parents lap. "Sorry" as the plane left with an empty seat that I had been sitting in. After a long conversations with the supervisor they finally were able to book me on the last flight out that night arriving in DM at 12:15 in am. I had to dig my original boarding pass out of the garbage as they had refused to put me in first class... an upgrade I had paid for. After being lied to repeatedly about status of plane and bumped from flight due to incompetent gate agent I was able to finally procure a $10 food voucher (a beer is $11 at the airport. There are additional bungles including lost luggage and more to this saga but I think you get the picture."

They are hard plastic (feel flimsy), and have very little padding. The recline is almost nonexistent. Both times I've come off the plane with my backside feeling numb."

United agents were there to get us through quickly at 4:15 AM. Because we were being met in Managua at noon and moving in with families that afternoon, there was a little margin for error."

Lady rolled her eyes at me like a teenager and belittles the poor guy for a few minutes. Saw another flight attendant nearly get in a fight with another passenger because she couldn't communicate and wasn't on board with whatever the other flight attendants had told her to do. Probably time to discuss stress management or have some of these people take a break to decompress because it's stressful being trapped with a bunch of jerks who are supposed to be helpful"
