Cons: "Started with long delay instantly. After waiting in line to rebook my connecting flight which was missed because of daly I was given a boarding pas with the wrong name on it. I had to leave security line and go back to the counter. I was told it was no big deal and these things happen. After waiting a couple of hours for my next flight I was told my boarding pass had the wrong flight number on it. So once again I had to leave the boarding area to get the matter taken care of. It was a very frustrating experience."

At the ticket desk i was initially told i could not fly because of this and that it was up to me to know about the eta requirement. So my 11:20am flight became a 6:30pm flight, no reason given. Later on in the afternoon that flight got moved to 7:30pm... At the airport, they changed the gate and then my final boarding time ended up being 8:00pm. So not impressed!! I had pre-purchased a bus ticket home which I lost the money on, Porter has not responded to my request for them to pay for that. PLUS my husband having to then drive 1.5 hours to pick me up and then drive us home another 1.5 hours at 10:30 at night. What a total mess, I had work booked the entire next day and night that I was now exhausted for."

Cons: "The flight was 5 hours 40 min late The Flight attended (her name was if not mistaken Staysy or start with S) was staying at the door as a security guard in a detention center without formal greeting “welcome on board”, no smile at all and later jumped on me regarding my bag. I was seated when her collage pulled my back bag from the compartment to make room for a bigger luggage, left it on the seat next to me and said will take care later. With frustrating tone Staysy showed up and command me to put it under the seat. I told her to put it under and not to command me with this tone... as it was not my decision the bag to be there. She did put it under but kept making comments and even did not apologize. A frustrating flights - over 5 hours late with spicy flight attendant attitude."

I was literally pressed into the bulkhead by the very large person next to me. Who had another large individual next to them. WestJet used to be a great airline that Had a little more legroom. Now airlines like flair offer the same flights with more legroom wider seats and far lower costs. WestJet has lost me as a customer that used to pay a little extra if There was a WestJet flight option"

Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."

The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"

Cons: "Why do they always want to check bags that are your everyday carryon items (large purse, medium backpac, etc.), but allow people to carryon their larger carry on suitcases filling up the overhead bins. Those are the people they should be making check their “carry-one.” And then be rude about it on top of that."

Cons: "Were held up by TSA in San Francisco because we were not given receipt for our dog who traveled with us. (We had a 2 hour layover in SF and took dog outside the security area for relief). Then the ticket counter in SF was understaffed and it took a long time to get the receipt printed (Once at the counter the agent was very helpful, efficient and quick). Should have a pet area inside the security of airports, like Palm Springs does."

Having paid for the trip with the Mileage Plus Explorer card, the first checked bag is free for each traveler. At the kiosk check-in at Logan, the machine wanted to bill us $25 to check my wife's bag. It took another 20 minutes to get this rectified."
