Cons: "Held on the plane for 3 hours while waiting to de-ice"

Pros: ". The staff was and movies waa the only good part of the flight."
Cons: "I upgraded my seat and I couldn't even recline it. 6 hours in an upright position. If I would if know this I wouldn't of upgraded to that seat I actually would like a refund in this as well. Waste is money"

Pros: "Pleasant Flight attendants and good pilot."
Cons: "No free drinks at all! Cheap airline"

Pros: "Service, Ecofriendly, Kind Staff"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "Very short flight so not much to comment."
Cons: "Not that I didn’t like, but there was no entertainment and no beverage on this flight. Maybe add a “N/A” as an option in the survey. Flight was delayed, but we were kept updated."

Pros: "on time"

Pros: "The crew were friendly."
Cons: "The crew did the best they could but the plane had two equipment malfunctions resulting in a 1.5 hr delay. After the first one resolved, we were inches away from takeoff when the captain came on to tell us something went wrong and we would need to be towed back to the terminal. After waiting for the ground crew to come rescue us, we started pushing backwards but then forwards again. Captain came on and said the problem was fixed. Once we landed at Toronto Pearson from Mexico City, there were no available gates. The movies see election available through streaming on Air Canada Rouge had fewer movies and shows than the tablet you could rent from the airline."

Pros: "Nice plane, great staff"
Cons: "Slow to board and slow in Vancouver to get the jetway Connie red."

Pros: "Excellent processes- on time, landing, taking off, boarding, checking in. Good product."
Cons: "No entertainment provided (iPad tablets you need to pay for 10 dollars), pay as you go Wifi, and limited legroom/ overall comfort. Other US airlines have on demand videos. Overnight flight without pillows/ blankets provided."

Pros: "The comfort in side the plane and quiet drive"
Cons: "The 5 hours waiting time at the Toronto airport. It really was hard to endure."

Pros: "Had to emergency reschedule the trip home due to a medical emergency in the family. Explained the situation and urgency to the AC client services rep. He got my wife and I on the next flight out (and first one in) from an alternate airport (Fort Myers instead of Tampa). They waived any rescheduling charges and billed flight differential charges of under $10 each. It was very much appreciated that in the middle of or crisis, we found a friendly and helpful response from an Airline that too often has received bad reviews. In my books, you folks are #1 when it counts. Thanks so much!"

Pros: "I got to my destination safely, luggage came out guickly n intact."
Cons: "I have no complaints. I taught the flight was good."

Pros: "This was my first time flying Air Canada. Our flight was delayed by 4 hours because they had to deice the plane. Yes it was frustrating but I would much rather have a flight of upset passengers then risking our lives. The captains and the crew went out of their way to make sure that we were the most comfortable. They gave us food and drinks as we waited and were extremely patient. Upon arrival many passengers had missed their connecting flights, including myself. They put us on the next flight out and gave all passengers a hotel and meals for the night. I would definitely recommend Air Canada. The plane itself is also pretty spacious so don’t be afraid to fly economy."
Cons: "Nothing really. They were great. I mean, definitely wished my flight wasn’t delayed. Although It wasn’t their fault that they needed to deice the plane, that’s something that should’ve been accounted for way before our flight was supposed to take off."

Pros: "Coming home"
Cons: "price of Air Canada Rouge not worth it, they should put this flight back to the regular air Canada flight. I can go with United and have a much more comfortable flight home"

Pros: "I like that we made it safely."
Cons: "The crew seemed to not like their job and were very short with customers."

Pros: "Seats."
Cons: "No entreteiment. No food. One of the crew was indiferent and rude."

Pros: "Finally getting off the plane."

Pros: "Friendly punctual"
Cons: "Seats are way too close! No leg room!"

Pros: "Considering it was a tiny aircraft the flight went very smoothly."

Cons: "See above."

Pros: "We got to Toronto"
Cons: "Those seats are tight. Also, the crew at the Toronto airport seemed to get mixed up a bit showing us where the transfer queue was."

Pros: "Of the five planes we were on, all but one had comfortable seating (I'm 6'1" tall)"
Cons: "The lady helping us through the Toronto airport between flights made my wife cry. We had to stop to go to the restroom on the way to our gate, and the lady complained when I waited to go in after my wife came out. I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."

Pros: "The crew was friendly, quick, and helpful. The seats were comfortable, we had space for our carry on items, and there was a good selection of entertainment and food/snack options. Takeoff and landing were also very smooth - the pilot did a fantastic job!"
Cons: "On an international flight (or any flight over 3 or 4 hours) I believe it would be courteous to provide a meal as part of the ticket price. We purchased food on board as it was a five hour flight from Mexico City to Toronto. The food was good with a variety of options, but it seems that Air Canada should update its policy to offer complimentary food service on longer flights."

Cons: "I had a window seat which had the new dimming glass rather than the pull-down shade. I kept the window at the darkest setting, and, even so, the window was so hot you could not hold your hand on it for more than a few seconds without it burning. The heat radiated so far out from the window that I needed to keep the air vent open totolerate it. Usually, when one sits in a window seat, they have the luxury of leaning against it with their pillow as they rest. The heat made this very uncomfortable, and for me, impossible. In fact, at a certain point, a stewardess came to the row ahead of me and excused herself with those passengers saying that she wanted to check the window of that row as the person sitting there was wondering is there was a malfunction in the window because it was burning hot. I spoke up and told the stewardess that the window was unbearably hot and to try to hold her hand on it. She responded, "Wow! That really IS the hot!" She said she'd check up front. She came back saying the pilot said it was because we are on the side of the plane facing the sun. We were on that side for 8 hours!! I find it hard to believe these windows weren't researched more thoroughly under all conditions, including the continual beating of the particular seasonal angle of the sun for long overseas flights! Please take this response seriously, as it truly was incredibly uncomfortable."

Cons: "I was refused boarding after being told I could fly. A horrible experience--rebooking for my wife and I cost us 1,000 dollars."

Pros: "The crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "My tv screen was not working, so I had no entertainment for the ride."

Pros: "There was enough room to stretch out a little."
Cons: "That there was a secondary charge for everything."

Pros: "I liked the overall experience of flying with air canada this was my first time using air canada before this I used westjet a lot a friend of my suggested air canada so I gave it a try and happy to have doNE it"
Cons: "The only issue that I have is the fact of the charge for the charge of the suitcase and the carryon as so much that when we get to the plane there is not enough room for all of the carryons"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled after we already were sitting in the plane for 1.5 hour."

Pros: "Comfort and Entertainment were great. They were punctual as well."
Cons: "The overall checking process was horrible. Nobody to provide help in Mexico City. We ended up spending extra time on line even though we did online check-in. One of our bags never made it. Which was very frustrating since we were traveling with two kids and were the last to leave waiting for the bag that never made it. At Newark, the lady that handled our missed bag claim had little customer service skills. All she said was that it was common for stuff like that to happen. Just that experience might make this the first and last time I use Air Canada again."

Pros: "Air Canada's excellent and consistent performance and delivery of services.!! I have been flying with your company since 1970 and I have enjoyed every trip with your Company.... Thank you!!"

Pros: "Size of plane allowing for aisle seating."
Cons: "Delay with boarding for about hour without a good explanation. All monitors in airport shows plane on time when it actually was not. Boarding process also took a bit of time perhaps due to many elderly on the flight. Seating was also confusing as the middle seats did not correspond with aisle seating. This caused delays as passengers had to figure out where they were sitting. Checked in luggage at gate since flight was full and we were asked to volunteer to check-in luggage. At baggage claim, bag delay to retrieve luggage after already hour delay in departure. Bags was not labeled or categorized correctly causing an extra half hour delay to claim bags."

Cons: "I never received an e-mail to check in, and by the time I remembered (morning of), this resulted in me not having a seat assigned on my ticket. This caused a lot of needless stress, though to Air Canada's credit, they got all those waiting for a seat assignment on board. On my return trip, I did receive an e-mail - luckily, as the flight was overbooked again."

Cons: "The entertainment was non-existent unless you had an Apple device or paid the $10 to rent one for an hour or so. Really disappointing considering other Air Canada flights."

Pros: "friendly staff, quick flight, comfortable seats"

Pros: "flight was smooth and on time."
Cons: "Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson airport was shabby. We expected a bit more than soup and gherkins, but that's all that was available, except for some dry nacho chips. No electrical outlets. Indifferent staff. Shame on Air Canada! We have visited airport lounges all over the world and this was by far the worst!"

Pros: "It was an easy flight and went smoothly."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight was over two hour late. Customer service did nothing to help. Suggested I figure out my connection in Los Angeles. Get on the plane and the entertainment system not working. No one willing to help. Land in Los Angeles and had to wait 20 minutes for a gate. So not only did I miss my connection flight, I have to wait until tomorrow to see if I can get on a flight"

Pros: "I liked the entertainment best I guess, it's very difficult to be comfortable in those horrible long flights. The crew was nice"
Cons: "So cramped, I know you want the highest profit margin possible but I don't appreciate spending 1800$ to feel like a prisoner. The food was barely food."

Pros: "Everything was basically on time."
Cons: "Air canada should still give snacks like west jet."

Pros: "Seats were wide and very comfortable"

Pros: "Efficient boarding, plenty of overhead space for suitcase despite being the last boarding group"
Cons: "Information about passport presentation inconsistent with instructions received at online checkin. Seats are small and uncomfortable.Flight attendants monopolized aisles for more than half the 4 hr flight. Weren't flexible about allowing people to use the restroom and move back to seats."

Pros: "Comfortable"
Cons: "We had huge trouble at front desk since now Canada asks Mexican citizens for visa and while booking the flight there was no mention to this! We almost didn't make it to the flight, only because we have double citizenship and we could board with our other passport. Front desk made us a lot of trouble in accepting the other passports because the name is not the same in both documents (one married last name other one with single last name) Strongly suggest adding a pop up when there are specific visa requirements."

Pros: "Good entertainment, pillows and blankets, friendly staff."
Cons: "Very long transfer lines to get to my flight to Philadelphia because in a different country. Food was distributed first to pre-paid passengers, hinting that there might not be enough for all passengers to buy."

Cons: "When the flight was overbooked I did not get my flight because I checked in in person and not online. That is bullshit. They were nice to figure out the best alternative but I still lost hours to figure it out, leave and come back."

Pros: "Flight staff is pretty good. People on the phone are generally good, as long as you don't mind waiting and hour, or two - three for a callback."
Cons: "Direct flight was delayed 3 hours and then two more times for a few hours and eventually cancelled from Toronto to Charlottetown due to flight staff (flight attendant called in sick so they cancelled the entire flight). So I was rebooked from my direct flight onto a connection the following evening in Montreal (which was expecting a winter storm). This was at 2 am so no more staff at the airport to even speak to. Had to call and ask for a call back which came at 4 am. The next day I got to the airport at 2 pm for my 5 pm flight to Montreal. It got delayed so I called air Canada and they booked me on an earlier flight. However it was too early and staff at the airport couldn't check me in as it was less than 45 minutes (facepalm). I was put on a later flight and got to Montreal okay. In Montreal my flight was delayed multiple times. Finally got on the plane but the ground staff was not around to get the place ready, pushed back, refused, etc. Waited 35 minutes on the plane before going to de-ice. Flight got 75% of the way to Charlottetown (almost over Moncton). It was a very turbulent flight. The pilot notified us we couldn't lanf in Charlottetown and were being diverted back to Montreal. So back to Montreal we went. On arriving back at Montreal we were notified to the flight attendants and again by the pilot that there would be people there go help us with rebooking. I still don't understand why they couldn't just get a new crew and fly us all back soemtime that day instead of having to all rebook, etc. This was at 1:30 AM. There was nobody waiting for us at the airport. I was automatically rebooked on a flight to Halifax that night and a morning flight go Charlottetown meaning I would have to stay another night and miss a second day of work. So, waiting in lineups until 4:30-5 AM in order to rebook a better flight back to Charlottetown. By this time I decided after spending much of the last 20 hours in airports or on a plane, that I would boom Moncton and just get a bus or drive home. Which I did, I booked Montreal to Moncton for 11 AM, paid for a bus and took that to Charlottetown. I arrived in Charlottetown at 5 PM Wednesday evening after "leaving toronto" at 11 PM Monday. Two cancelled flights, multiple delays, 5-6 rebooking, missed two days work, and lost a lot of sleep. No help from air Canada but hopefully they will cover the hotel for the first night as it was flight staff that caused the cancellation. All in all, if that attendant wasn't sick, or if air Canada had better solutions to this type of issue, I would have been home much earlier and with less stress. It really isn't fun being in an airport that long not knowing what is happening and how to get home."
