We were confused with our assigned seat.

Connecting flights with first class seats is not as enjoyable since the flight was short. Will look to take more straight flights so i can enjoy first class more!

I liked the timeliness of the departure and arrival, and the crew were good. The turbulence was rough, though.

Ten days prior to the flight I called AeroMexico to cancel and they said there would be a cancellation penalty, which was fine. When I tried to redeem my credit, they said there was also an additional "No-show fee" even though I called to cancel 10 days prior, which left a total of $70 credit after all their penalties. I called and emailed to complain but they did nothing but pass me to someone else who was equally unhelpful. I will never fly AeroMexico for any reason in the future."

Even the pilot was very ethusiastic over the intercom before the flight. He made jokes and everyone laughed. In fact, it was the most I've ever heard from a pilot on any flight in my life. I would rate this the best flight I've ever had. Thanks, Delta!"

He always told us what was happening, why we had a wait on the tarmac in LGA, why he anticipated it might be a choppy flight, how to access in flight entertainment so we could be distracted. Check in was grueling. First time people were having a hard time. Air Canada did not acknowledge that I had already paid for my two checked bags. Now I have to chase the refund. Another person next to us experienced the same thing. Very poor customer service.

Waiting on a long line for boarding passes even after prior checkin was very inconvenient and incompetently handled by the ground staff. None of the kiosks were able to print boarding passes.

Awesome flight!

Other passengers continue to be the hardest part of flying now.

Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."

The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"

Cons: "This was an aged 737, with narrow, cramped seats and thin, hard plastic armrests. The first class seats were smaller than the Premium Economy ones I flew recently on Norwegian Air. The Economy seats were pure torture -- angled oddly in a way that forced your back to curve, with zero legroom even in the Economy Plus section. I tried putting my purse behind me in an effort to alleviate back pain. It was a miserable trip. In contrast my short flight to Santa Barbara was on a newer plane with wide, comfortable seats. There is no way they should use such an old aircraft on a 4 hour trip."

By the time the flight was allowed to take off, the dinner onb the flight had sat too long and they were not allowed to serve it. They gave us a coupon for $20 buck to eat dinner at San Francisco airport upon arrival but of course no restaurant is open at 2:00 am."

They moved her before the rest of the flight had boarded, so the seating got messed up and took quite a bit of time to sort out. The flight crew seemed to be extremely put off by the whole scenario and couldn't seem to keep their displeasure professionally under control. I ended up volunteering to move because the passengers who caused the problem refused to bend. For all the crew's displeasure, they didn't handle the passengers, the passengers handled them."

They had no means of looking after the contents. Was I suppose to carry my content???This was ever so frustrating since the suitcase was brand new. Then the lady told me that my warranty on the bag will cover the damage. It was obvious she was not willing to help and did not have a clue what she was doing thus I just logged the complaint and had by suitcase sorted out the San Francisco Airport. They were very helpful."

Also, I rated entertainment and food low only because there weren't any of these to rate. The overhead was so full that I couldn't place my bag in the overhead. The luggage check in is no longer a service a customer is provided if 1) I have to pay to check one in. 2). I have to lug it around with me only to have no place to put it. 3) the amount of time it takes to get off and on the plane because the line backs up while everyone waits on prior passengers to get their luggage into or out of the overhead (some are too short, too weak, ot placed their overhead ten rows away). Yikes!"
