Pros: comfortable seats, wifi entertainment
Cons: Unable to upgrade delta flight because it was a westjet code share flight, westjet unable to upgrade delta flight because it was to be done on delta servers. I was finally able to upgrade at the delta check-in counter for a higher fee than usual (ontop of the perfered seat upgrade I already paid for). I waited 1.5hrs after takeoff before I called staff for a drink. Over 2hrs before they officially started serving main cabin drinks and snacks. There was some turbulence but they could have served people by hand without the cart. They had no problem serving first class before, during and after takeoff.
Pros: Seats had room. Entertainment options were quite good.
Cons: WestJet has lost its Chutzpah. No longer knows it’s identity. Food choices were terrible for a 5.5 hour flight, and the couple of okay choices they were out of very quickly. Crew was friendly enough but no sparkle.
Pros: The legroom in economy was good. The staff were very pleasant and they even tried to comfort/distract a crying toddler.
Cons: The flight was delayed for 2 1/2 hours which meant that it didn't arrive in Toronto until 2:40am, this made it difficult for being picked up. I wasn't aware that this was a basic ticket (I bought it through 3rd party website) which meant that I couldn't prebook my seat. After checkin online and paying for the seat it also meant that the seat couldn't be changed even though there were several available seats. There were no entertainment centres at each seat which was also a real surprise. I didn't have the Westjet app therefore I couldn't have access to the movies as I didn't want to have to pay for internet.
Cons: 2 hours late !!!!
Pros: Pleasant and helpful stewardess. When they found out how stressful our day was with delays and being bumped around they offered us a free drink. Nothing crazy but it was kind of them.
Cons: When our flights were delayed then changed we were left with no options other then being left with a 19 hr layover in Vancouver and missing the wedding. No apologies or vouchers offered. Air Canada gave $200 for a two hour delay to our friends, we were screwed over and offered nothing. So disappointed. We ended up flying to Vegas and renting a car and driving through the night to be on time. So sad!!
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
