Pros: "The crew is always friendly at Porter. The free wine is awesome."
Cons: "There’s no entertainment."
Pros: "Free wine"
Cons: "The deboarding. I don't understand how the plane became inoperable only after we were backing out of the gate. Nothing done to compensate for the inconvenience."
Pros: "Very convenient, non stops and airport is close to downtown"
Cons: "Captain said the 1 hour delay was due to bad weather in Washington DC but there was no bad weather in DC. He should have said the truth. I was in flight 729 from Toronto to Washington Dulles airport on 7/7."
Cons: "I was required to pay for my carryon, which I was never informed during my booking."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "All good"
Cons: "I paid almost half as much as I paid for the flight to have a carry on bag. I was not informed about this fer when I was buying the ticket. $48 is an outrageous fee for a carry on bag, I would never have bought this ticket had I known."
Pros: "In one hour flight I did not have any problem with crew."
Cons: "Passangers needs to be allowed carry on laguage. It is very uncomfortable . Parkinbg is big problem in downtown. It is better @ Pearson. These 2 makes my wife thinking to travel from Pearson."
Cons: "Treated rudely and arbitrarily at check-in; charged extra baggage fees not previewed in reservation receipt and not charged in intial leg; flight itself left and arrived more than 2 hours late. This whole experience sucked."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and even roomy, compared to many other airlines."
Cons: "Two minor drawbacks: (1) In the Porter lounge, where I was stuck between connecting flights, the cost of food was too high. (2) The weather buffets these small planes more than would be the case with jetliners."
Cons: "My return flight was delayed by 90 minutes."
Pros: "Nothing particularly good about this airline."
Cons: "Flights are always delayed. You can just look up their average delay and compare it to other airlines. This last time, my flight was 4 hours delayed, which was announced by 30 minutes increments."
Pros: "Seats , hostess good"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delayed by an hour. And no functioning toilet."
Pros: "Free drinks."
Cons: "Delayed flight"
Cons: "Worst delays! 5 consecutive delays which amounted to over 3 hours!"
Pros: "The convenience at YTZ airport."
Cons: "The lack of personnel at the Porter counters at Dulles. Even though I had paid for luggage online and checked in I still had to wait in line for a very long time. There should be a separate line for pre check ins and no carry on."
Pros: "There was nothing I did not like about this flight. The crew was great, very friendly and got me to my destination as they said they would. No complaints."
Cons: "the snack (chips) I recieved was expired and had a smell to it!"
Pros: "The cabin crew provided the most information out of the entire experience and were extremely friendly. I appreciate Dawn in particular. The lounge is nice when it is not so over-crowded. I appreciate some complimentary minor snacks and drinks; it certainly helped with the delay. What would normally be sufficient seating and power outlets became people tripping over each other with delayed flights."
Cons: "The lounge staff were hard to find and not communicative about delays. The board only had 1 update to my departure time, which was 30 mins after the originally scheduled time, and did not update again until 25 minutes after that second time had passed. The lounge staff did not make an announcement until after that board update and even then the information was wrong. The one time I found someone to ask a question to, I was given the same information. I had no idea why there was a delay or what to expect and no way of finding out. It made coordinating next steps upon my arrival to my destination extremely difficult. The lounge is not particularly well-equipped for multiple delayed flights."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 35 mins"
Pros: "Started late but arrived before time"
Cons: "flight was delayed 3+ hours"
Pros: "Free drinks and snacks. Staff were friendly."
Cons: "Very small overhead compartment. Boarding procedure was chaotic."
Pros: "Crew was co operative Food nice"
Cons: "Heavy baggage charges ! We were chaged about 28 USD for 3 check in bags totol weidht only 46 Kg ! We shoud have been chaged for only 2 bags coz 2nd bag is free ! Extra charged for 1 bag should be refunded"
Pros: "Everyone was so nice and friendly Loved the snack"
Cons: "No complaints!!"
Pros: "very professional and great attitude"
Cons: "nothing"
Pros: "The flight was early!"
Cons: "It was uncomfortable because the flight was so long, and I couldn't stretch out very much"
Cons: "delay"
Cons: "I missed it because porter gave my ticket away when I asked for a refund for my precious flight because their customer service reps do not speak English well."
Pros: "It was an easy flight but the checking in was slow."
Cons: "Kiosks would not scan US passports. This info was not given to US CITIZENS upon arrival at check in counter.A few of us wasted lots of time trying to make it work."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for about 4 hours then canceled on a Sunday night and I wasn't rebooked until Wednesday morning. Porter staff said I would only be refunded the "pro-rated" fare for the leg that was canceled. This makes no sense as I had to buy my own ticket home from another airline and I didn't get to pay a "pro-rated" fare because I was halfway home. They also put us up in an extremely sketchy hotel that was unsafe, unclean and had an active prostitution ring going on."
Pros: "Great flight. Seats a little tight."
Pros: "On the whole a great experience"
Cons: "Nothing to not like"
Pros: "We enjoyed the free food and drinks in the airport and also it was our first time ever taking a ferry to the airport! Our flight was delayed slightly but the airport personnel communicated with us about the delay. Flight crew was pleasant and friendly. I would fly Porter again!"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Complimentary refreshments. Not too much...just enough. Thank you, Porter!"
Cons: "My first time using Porter...certainly not my last."
Pros: "On time, no issues, good staff"
Pros: "Love that Billy Bishop airport and its free cappuccino!"
Pros: "Great lounge area"
Cons: "I do not fault the crew at all for the weather or the delays. However, the airline desk was understaffed and did a horrible job of keeping passengers updated with news regarding their flights. I feel bad for the two staffers manning the desk because they had to deal with a deluge of angry people needing alternative flights because of all the cancellations."
Pros: "Porter is a generous and comfortable airline, with kind and helpful staff."
Cons: "It might have been the weather, but both flights were extremely turbulent during landing."
Pros: "It was on time"
Cons: "We had to make a second pass at Halifax due to a glitch"
Cons: "If you don't take a morning Flight on Porter, you cans forget about arriving on time. Their connections in Toronto are always late and they lie about the reasons. This time, their onsite customer service agent said it was mechanical. The pilot then told us it was a late arriving plane from another destination . It's worth it to pay extra to go nonstop. Never again"
Cons: "The crew were mostly great except one female flight attendant who was unnecessarily rude on two occasions on the short flight."
Pros: "The crew was nice."
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to crew scheduling and is completely unacceptable."
Cons: "There were many delays on flights took that were not communicated to me until I had boarded."
Pros: "The flight in and out of Billy Bishop was fantastic. The flights were smooth and surprisingly quiet for a turboprop. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the terminal is something many other airlines can learn from. Will definitely fly with Porter again soon!"
Cons: "Limitations on distance due to the turboprop! If you can make flights to Florida, I would be one of many happy passengers."
Cons: "delayed"
Pros: "Convenient Toronto airport Complimentary coffee and cookie at the airport"
Pros: "The Porter desk staff were pretty quick in recognizing that a hoard of passengers from a super delayed flight needed to find their connections immediately. They were able to print out new passes and direct flyers in only a few minutes."
Cons: "Porter flies out of Billy Bishop in Toronto, and the dated airport definitely has an impact on you when you are stuck there for long periods of time."

No food service on flight despite food service on outbound flight.

Cons: "Nothing significant"
Pros: "good leg room and seats staff was courteous"
Cons: "not even peanuts..."
Pros: "I got to my destination safely, luggage came out guickly n intact."
Cons: "I have no complaints. I taught the flight was good."
Pros: "Quick and easy"
Pros: "Getting off"
Cons: "Sore all over and a lousy cough"
Pros: "Very happy with my trip"
Cons: "My lineup in USA entry line was ridiculous and I missed my boarding time because it was as hard to get the air Canada attendants attention so I ended up waiting 40 minutes anxious about missing my plane. Their kiosks weren’t working proper hence the longer line."
Pros: "When I got sick, staff were friendly, helpful and soothing until the arrival of the ambulance. They made me feel much better during a very stressful situation."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "7:05am Flight got cancelled and they saw fit to rebook us on a 20:30pm flight.. decided to reroute us to anotjer city in canada and down to a different airport in DC Lost my luggage from time i checked it it at 0500am yo time dflight was cancelled and rebooked at 0700. And to fike claim and travrl without jt. Worst experience ever."
Pros: "Tv screens and in flight entertainment"
Cons: "I paid 450 Euro for a return 2 hour flight & I didn't get a 20kg allowance. I don't expect a check in bag on a US or European budget airline but this is the national carrier. It's the first time I've paid for a checked bag in all my years flying with different national carriers. I.e. Qantas, Air New Zealand, Singapore to name a few. All in all. Air Canada charging like a national carrier but the baggage allowance policy of a budget airline. Not good enough in my opinion."
Pros: "No food given. Flight was delayed on the way there because a crew member called in sick -- making me miss part of my work conference. No entertainment on the way back to NL."
Cons: "Would have preferred Westjet but they do not offer a flight from NL to PEI."
Cons: "Air Canada is always late in my experience. I always end up waiting at the gate for the inbound flight which happens to be late. It is so annoyingly dishonest, considering that the flight is announced as on-time up until minutes before the departure time. When all along they know the incoming flight is late. After we boarded the plane at origin, we spent 15 minutes at the gate and quite a bit on the runway. When nearing the DCA, the plane took a complete detour went near Baltimore and then Annapolis and then flew back to near Gaithersburg as if it was intentionally wasting time on the air. Upon landing in DCA we had to wait 15 minutes on the taxiway waiting for the gate to clear. The (one hour long) flight that was scheduled to land at 10:20pm landed just before midnight. Air Canada is awful. This happens every time I fly with Air Canada and their conduct is just cheap and dishonest."
Pros: "Staff all friendly and helpful, both at desk and in plane. Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert."
Pros: "Kept us up to date and gave us a lunch voucher."
Cons: "We had a 4 hr weight in St John's"
Pros: "Nice staff on board and in the airport. Left on time."
Cons: "Small plane not alot of storage space. Can carry small bags on board."
Cons: "there were no complimentary snacks"
Pros: "Seats were nice to recline and the in flight tv is much nicer than tablets etc. The in flight safety video is good and quick easy"
Cons: "Seriously? No free snacks? It's ridiculous that you want us to purchase snacks. Something small should be complimentary. Staff was in ok moods but a little edgy. The air was too cold."
Pros: "The flight arrived about 30 minutes early. Also, it left a little late. For me, the less time on the plane the better."
Cons: "Guy next to wanted to charge phone a laptop in USB port in front of me b/c his was our of order. This worked out OK but in a small space it's not so good. He was bare foot too. Take of your shoes but wear socks, please....Plane was not hot, actual a litter chilly."
Cons: "4 hour departure delay"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything. Plane was ready to leave on time but had a delay of almost an hour due to construction in Toronto. Connecting flight was held in Toronto and despite getting to gate almost an hour before departure, they changed passengers to another flight causing total delay of four hours. Air Canada staff were indifferent and uncaring. Unfortunately with no real choice in airlines to Newfoundland we are stuck with Air Canada."
Pros: "They afford a civil and enhanced trip on an Express flight. Something AA and other airlines consistently fail to do."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth, considering there were just over two hundred passengers to manage. The crew was excellent: responsive, courteous and proactive. Entertainment: Overall plenty of options though some were dated. Food: surprisingly good, and COMPLIMENTARY. Didn't have to pay extra."
Cons: "Coach is CRAMPED. And on a 14-hour flight, that's important.."
Cons: "The post office lost my passport and I was unable to go on this flight. Customer service was unwilling to provide a solution that did not cost thousands of dollars to rebook and see my family for Christmas."
Pros: "The plane was clean and fairly comfortable."
Cons: "Our flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for no apparent reason. We were not told of this delay until 45 minutes after boarding time was supposed to begin. Good communication would have helped with this issue."
Cons: "There was only one snack option and I couldn't eat it because it contained gluten."
Cons: "Flight was delayed. Announcement was made at the last minute. There wasn't enough space for carry-on luggage, mostly because the flight crew let people hog space leaving less for everybody else."
Pros: "Easy flight to DC."
Cons: "First time at Pearson Airport needed some help finding my way around the airport"
Pros: "Decent everywhere options, leg room, and seat comfort."
Cons: "Delays with no adequate explanation and very few updates. Boarding process was chaos."
Cons: "The horrendously long lines going through security!! I am 77. My husband is 81. Standing in those very long lines was extremely fatiguing. To the point we are rethinking ever flying again. They were bad bookends to an otherwise great trip."
Pros: "Trouble free"
Cons: "Very costly - then we were hit with an extra $172 in baggage fees for 1 bag each."
Pros: "Flying in the air"
Cons: "Promising the mob my first born son to pay for a flight home"
Cons: "I was supposed to be home on a Sunday. That I didn't arrive until the follow Tuesday should tell you something. My adventure included: 2 cancelled flights, one drastically oversold flight, being given a hotel room without a working toilet, hours spent waiting at the airport for information from gate agents who never showed up, and being curtly told that, as a passenger who didn't arrive on a connecting flight, on my second night I would not be given a hotel room, but instead a mat to sleep on in the airport. I did finally get a hotel room—this time with a working toilet"
Pros: "The price of the flight was excellent and the service totally reliable."
Cons: "Small aircraft for a fairly long overnight flight. Made it difficult to rest as the flight was full."
Pros: "Once I actually got on the rebooked flight, everything went great."
Cons: "I get it, weather happens, but airlines should have figured out by now how to make any issues that come from that as painless as possible. Air Canada did not have it together. There was little communication and coordination. People had to wait multiple times in ungodly long lines while agents spent way too much time with each customer. There was misinformation and lack of information given by agents and at times no one to help at all. When there's weather it should be all hands on deck until the effected customers get to where they need to be. Otherwise it's an aggravating and nearly intolerable experience. Commercial airlines have been around for 60+ years - figure it out already."
Pros: "At least it was fast.."
Cons: "No space, no tv, no food, no music, no blanket, no water, nothing. Pack everything you need or bring your credit card"
Pros: "Let the announcements be delivered in both language successively."
Pros: "The pilots were EXTREMELY polite, informing us through the intercom why everything is delayed. SUPER flight through the rain!!! FANTASTIC PILOTS!"
Cons: "We were Stuck INSIDE the plane for an hour. If there is a delay either offer a refreshments or let us go back inside the air port and get a refreshments. The crew were unprofessional, i travel enough and this crew was the worst I have seen. On top they offered No hot beverages. Upon my request of a simple cup Of coffee the flight attendant said, NO, ask if I wanted a coke. It is great that he is giving me an alternative but he can simply appogize that he has not made any coffee and be sincere about it. TERRIBLE service all together. We all in the plane have appointments that now we are late to, crew showed no concern."
Cons: "Delayed flight from Toronto to washington"
Cons: "Kid crying and yelling the whole flight"
Cons: "The flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for more than 3 hours and there was not even a drink offered for the inconvenience."
Pros: "Quick boarding. Great with children."
Cons: "Multiple confusing security processes at airport. Huge lines. Flight delayed twice."
Pros: "The crew and their sincere attitude to be of help. Wonderful team of professionals."
Cons: "One hour delay, which was very tiring for someone who already had gone through the 9 hour flight torture from Athens. The Global Entry for US bound passengers procedure is very confusing. Maybe it would help if the steps were communicated on the US bound passengers before disembarking. First the passport process (easy) then there is this confusing process where we need to see our names in green on the screen, with some staff telling us to move on while others insist that we need to stay back and wait for our names to go green on screens that keep changing. Good idea and intentions to help clear bags, and can be improved. Overall the Montreal to DC flight (with the exception of the awful Montreal airport and the long delay) was excellent."
Cons: "very comfortable flight with free movies."
Cons: "I find it very strange that you have to pay extra to ship a bag. Air Canada advertises that all fees are included in their fares. However you are getting hit at the back end after you make your booking. Just about everyone travels with a bag to ship. After having to Leave fort Mcmurray due to loosing our home we had to pay an extra fee to ship three bags. It does not do much for the image of Air Canada be a leader in the industry and be up front all the way."
Cons: "I arrived at the airport and attempted to check in at 11:17, 58 minutes before my flight was schedule to depart, having just rushed to the airport from my father's bedside in the hospital. I purchased a ticket on this flight because I absolutely needed to be back in New York City by 2:30 pm today - otherwise, I wouldn't have left. When I attempted to use the kiosk to check in, my booking reference number couldn't be found, despite repeated attempts. When I approached a customer service agent to check in manually, I was simply told that I could not - I was not offered any reason other than that I was "too late" and not offered any alternative. I asked to speak with a supervisor who attempted to clear me for check in seeing as I had no bags to check and have a Global Entry card, but was told by the agent that I spoke with that the flight was over booked and so there were now no longer any seats available. I asked to speak with the supervisor in person, and was told she was on her way, but 15 minutes later she was nowhere to be seen and time was ticking. While the first agent was completely unhelpful, and never offered to rebook me on another flight, another agent helped me by giving me a boarding pass for the next flight and told me she was putting me on standby for the flight I originally purchased the ticket for. I got to the gate in plenty of time to board my original flight, but was told that I wasn't on the standby list and there were simply no seats left on the flight - even though I purchased one which should have been held for me until 10 minutes before departure as is the policy for every other airline as far as I am aware. I am beyond frustrated that due to Air Canada's overbooking the airline used the excuse that I arrived 58 minutes before my flight to give the ticket I purchased away to someone else, with no consideration for me as a customer. The extremely poor customer service I received only added insult to injury. I am completely stumped as to how Air Canada could possibly be the only airline in North America with a 4 star rating when I have consistently experienced overbooking, flight cancellations, and abysmal customer service, including 30 minute wait times to speak to an agent, an inability to check in online for international travel, topped off by poor in flight service, when traveling Air Canada. I have never before complained but am doing so in this case because today's experience truly put me over the top when the airline's blatant disregard for my circumstances and needs as a customer and overbooking practices went beyond causing annoyance and inconvenience. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the ticket I purchased only to be bumped off the flight I paid for."
Pros: "We left and arrived early, the seat was surprisingly comfortable (it helped that there were lots of empty seats, including next to me), my full-size carry-on fit easily in the overhead bin, despite it being a small plane, the in-flight entertainment was always on and pretty good... everything went well."
Cons: "Only the things I've grown to expect on any domestic service (e.g., no food)."
Pros: "The sits were comfortable. More space between sits."
Pros: "Terrible, only one spot open, long lines. We missed boarding and were forced to wait 4 hours after already 10 hours travel. No help and no mercy at the custom area."
Cons: "Use all airport customs agent's desks after a large plane arrivals."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant and efficient. The entertainment consoles were nice, having games and movies and flight tracking."
Cons: "Not notified about long flight delay until 5 mins before scheduled boarding. Happened once with my flight and twice with my daughter's."
Pros: "Same as first flight."
