In particular, for the Auckland - Vancouver flight, one ground staff was telling economy passengers (in rather rude express) they were in the wrong line except there was never announcement. Overall, disappointed."

Cons: "Boarding and take off was delayed by about one hour, with no proactive communication from crew about the delay. Passengers waiting to board individually questioned why we had not started boarding yet when information screens in the airport displayed otherwise. We did not start boarding for a 12 hour international flight until ten minutes to scheduled take off. The first time we were informed about the delay as a group was after we had entered the aircraft."

Pros: "I was very impressed with the older Japanese attendant’s attitude in helping everyone onboard. A family sitting 2 seats in front moved around a lot while putting their baby and toddler to sleep for the night flight. The attendant discreetly gave those of us earplugs and eye masks to help us shut out the noise. Also, her smile and pleasant attitude made it an enjoyable flight."

Pros: "Although I'd like to see the seats upgraded to ones adjustable to lie flat seats without getting up and several steps, the crew on the Air New Zealand flights make the difference. What a PLEASANT experience. Great passenger service boarding to landing."
Cons: "Once made, the lie flat seats are extremely comfortable. However, it's a bit of a hassle to get the bed made. Also the seats don't offer as much privacy as seats on other carriers (AA, UA, LH etc). If they changed the seats, the airline can compete with any other, as the crews are superb."
Pros: "There was so much I loved, but what really stood out was the mood was set from the beginning....music, lighting, and the welcome message on the screens that were personalized for passengers. Great food and the friendliest airline crew ever. I also loved the safety video....it wasn't boring even though I knew to he information."

Pros: "Very Innovative. Love the Premium Economy seats. And unlike many other airlines that do Premium Economy the food is not just economy food. It is far better and as good as anything you get in Business."
Pros: "Handsome, kind and efficient crew. Good amount of space in and around my seat. I was not cramped, although I was in the economy section. The plane interior was indeed nice. Power outlets (both USB and 110V DC) in my seat (I assume then, every seat had that). I fly few times a year between the West Coast and Europe and my overall flight experience on this flight I think was the best one I've seen in years. Food, quality and selection was good. Nice wines in economy. Sufficient number of clean, sufficiently roomy and well stocked toilets. The fare rate I was able to get was outstanding and contributed to the overall satisfaction. Even my neighbor, in the seat next to me was very polite, quiet and pleasure to travel with (though here New Zealand Air perhaps had less of an influence)."

Etihad airlines ground staff was very rude! Seats in the economy class of Etihad airlines are getting congested more and more every year."

Also no ice with drinks.. because they didn’t have ice!!!! But apart from this, it was another quality Etihad flight. Just didn’t expect the above inconveniences from Etihad! This is the first time I experience this with them."

The ticketing guys did not help or seem to be interested in helping me find anoyher flight. All as I was concerned my missing of the flight was taken as a gain for the to make more profit with this situation. The people I called to talk to were so rude and sometime even hang up the phone on me.. They ended up cancel my return flight too even though it’s suppose to be 1 month from now. They did not care if anything went okay with me, they kicked me out of their space. I ended up spending $2000 to book another flight. For this reason I hate this airline and I would never ever recommend it to anybody which I know they wouldn’t care because they will still make money but im gonna warn everybody I know to stay away from this airline"

Cons: "After I had run from one end of the airport to the other to go through customs and catch my connecting flight and boarded with 15 minutes to spare, I was pulled off by one of your officials and was not given a reason as to why. The flight attendants were talking about sweeping any areas of the plane that I had been in. It was when we had almost reached customs that I was informed that another passenger who was stuck in Customs had mentioned my name and that is why I was pulled off. So, I was treated like a criminal and questioned and threatened by the customs official who went and searched my belongings to see if I'm lying about what I brought with me. They then tried to get me to fly with the other passenger just because we knew each other, even though I clearly and repeatedly told them I am not traveling with that person. I suppose this isn't all Etihad's fault, but if you are pulling passengers off of your plane, don't ignore their questions and treat them like criminals. Also, when I got back on, the filght attendants were unsympathetic about my situation and smiled it off. It ruined my whole flying experience. Also, the buttons to adjust A/C and call flight attendants was really high up and hard to reach for a petite woman."
Pros: "The flight from AMM to Abu Dhabi was excellent. Movie selection was excellent. Everything was excellent. The flight from Abu Dhabi to Muscat was so so. It might be due to the short duration."

I had not read the carry-on baggage restrictions well and my bag ended up being just a little too big so it had to be checked. Although it wasn't a good situation for me, it was my fault and I appreciate that you hold to your policy!"

Pros: "Unfortunately our flight from London to Abu Dhabi was delayed and we missed our connection through to Melbourne. However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation."
Cons: "Whilst the food at the hotel was amazing, the same cannot be said for the plane! The food was very ordinary. The chicken pie was barely edible. In terms of seating, the seats are pretty standard long-haul fare. There is limited room but the issue is cushioning. They feel pretty hard and it was difficult to be comfortable."

Cons: "They changed the departure time of my flight 3 times for no apparent reason. Upon calling them to inquire and confirm departure time, I received "confirmed" times from three different employee's that were all different. I spent a total of 88 minutes on the phone with them incurring long distance calling fees. Then, once settled, my layover went from 2.5 hours to 7 hours. They offered NOTHING to remedy this fault. Oy, first and LAST time I fly Etihad."

Cons: "Someone behind me had a nightmare and was kicking my chair violently. It was very scary. No one from the airline checked on him or me."
Pros: "The crew on my recent flight desreves a five star applause. I've travelled on other airlines in the same segment and had come to accept the crew treatment to economy passengers. But Etihad changed that and showed me that we can be treated quite well even in an economy seat. Everything from them remembering my preferences to immediately honoring my requests to going out of the way to even reach ground staff about our preferences for our next flight, it simply was a great feeling to be on board."
Cons: "The check-in process was very strict in terms of weight of hand bags and cabin baggage. 7.6kg (600gm over) was not allowed to pass through - something other passengers need to be aware of. The attendedant who printed my boarding pass printed 2 copies of the same pass instead of one for each flight. I realized it only when it didn't scan at the security gate and had to go all the way back and stand in the security line all over again. Luckily we were not short of time for the flight else that might have been a problem."
