I recently took a 6 hour flight on Wow airlines in a A320 and the seats were terrible and no entertainment. The Cathay flight, though it was more than twice as long on the air, was much more pleasant."

My personal TV's touch screen wasn't working so I complaint to stewardess, who asked her manager, Ms Jacky to come, she resent the system which worked and then stopped again. I again complaint but by the time Ms Jacky came the system started working again so she said "I did not know how to use touch feature. I was touching it too hard."

Pros: "Flight attendants were responsive and helpful. They were also kind given the craziness they have to deal with in some customers. In flight entertainment was adequate. They seem quite reasonably organized."
Cons: "1. It was a 15+ hour flight. Only breakfast and lunch were served, where three are justified. 2. I had a pre-selected (vegetarian) meal which was both meagre and mediocre when flying out of JFK. It was a grossly insufficient amount of food for the long duration of the flight. I had what was essentially a small tray of chickpeas for 'breakfast'. Crazy! 3. The noodles that are on offer for snacks throughout the flight were chicken or beef. Vegetarians do not have anything to eat except cookies and some fruit (which goes quickly when set out!) 4. No eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush or toothpaste. These are basic amenities. Had to ask for an eye mask and then one was provided. Some airlines even provide in-flight socks (and yes, I am talking about economy travel here)."

Very minimal service provided during flight, minimal isle check by flight attendent throughout the 14 hours flight. I had the rudest flight attendant, she didn't smiles. Asked for drinks but never return. My niece request for cup of noodle, instead she responded if didn't my niece had already one. I asked for beef dinner but she placed on my table a turkey instead stated she ran out after I told her that's not beef. Flight attendant yelled out loud to tell the passenger to seat down instead of approach the passenger."

I was told that there were no open exit row seats. But on boarding, the entire exit row was empty. It stayed that way through the flight. Super annoying."

Cons: "Though nothing completely egregious, my interaction with crew on the flight were the worst I have ever experienced when traveling. The first was after attempting to go to the bathroom mid-flight. This was an 11 hour flight. I'm not sure whether the captain forgot to turn off the seatbelt sign during the middle of the flight or if he anticipated turbulence, but the seatbelt sign was on for at a minimum, 45 minutes. After waking up I had the urge to go to the bathroom and walked back to try to get there. Once close to the bathroom a flight attending pointed in the other direction and said "sit down and put your seatbelt on." I expressed that I had to go to the bathroom and he again just repeated "go put your seatbelt on." I stood for another few seconds in disbelief that I would really be turned away from using the bathroom in the middle of a flight and during this short time of standing there he again repeated: "go put your seatbelt on." I would like to stress that there was absolutely no turbulence at this time. Whether or not this is protocol and any attendant would have told me the same, the attendant could use lessons in how to properly speak to people by having a better tone AND saying please. Explaining the situation would also be helpful instead of just using your power to command another adult to do something. After returning to my seat, I saw multiple other people also try to get up to go, who received the same fate, so it was obvious he was trying to adhere to the rules, but clearly if the fasten seatbelt sign has been on for over an hour at that point, you should be able to be an adult and put the situation in context; people need to use the bathroom on a long flight. My second poor interaction was at the conclusion of the flight. I was listening to music on my phone and hadn't heard the captain announcement that we should begin to prepare for landing. On ANY other flight I have EVER been on, the crew will come around and verbally ask people politely to put their seat up, return trays to their stored position, and unplug any USB electronics. One of the crew, without asking me first or even making eye contact, came up and unplugged my phone from being plugged in and manually put my seat up to upright position and walked away. This might seem like a simple thing, but you should NEVER touch someone else's property. Further, to place me upright without warning was extremely rude. If this flight had been the only flight I had with Cathay Pacific, I would never fly with this airline again, because it would have seemed to me that your crew lack social skills, are impolite, and may have language barriers. Luckily, my trip was round trip from NY to Bali and as such there were multiple connecting flights, and I had good experiences on all the rest. I really wish I had gotten the name of the 2 individuals I had a poor experience with, as I don't think they will help you in securing future customers."

Cons: "Where do you start? Boarding process made no sense so i wont even try to explain it. Just trust me. Once we got on the plane they wouldnt let me plug into the usb port while we were on the ground. Food Service was terrible. They woke me up (minutes after id fallen asleep) for both food service. First time i thought was accident. Second time i asked them not to wake me up and they said i have to get a do not disturb sticker (why wasnt i just given one before so i could make the decision to use it or not on my own?) Also the food was terrible. I dont expect much from airline food but i can say ive had acceptable meals on other airlines (emirates and lufthansa). The food was not what i expected for one of the highest rated airlines. The flight attendant had me put the seat up during food service so the lady behind me could eat. Wtf?? Never had to do that on another airline. When i was not sleeping they rarely came down the isles with water or juice trays. (I saw it once toward the end of the flight)...and trust me i didnt miss it because i was sleeping. When i did get water i had to beg for ice as well."
