We book an Air Canada flight but "got Rouged". Lengthy delays and 5 gate changes in a couple of hours. Cabin cramped, very little room in overheads. Food tasted stale. Generally awful except courteous and capable crew. Avoid Rouge like the plague.
Meal I purchased was disgusting. Fruit was spoiled and could not eat it.
Flight was delayed and arrived late at hotel.
There was a 1 hour delay on the return flight but it was caused by ATC restrictions in Montreal. One of 2 runways was under repair.
Pros: "Comfortable and clean flight"
Pros: "let me wait for next flight 24 hours later"
Cons: "getting me on my flight and let me wait for 24 hours"
Pros: "Super comfortable business class seats"
Cons: "Didn't take this flight because it was late and would have caused me to miss my connection. I got rebooked on a different flight that delayed me 10+ hours."
Pros: "You got me there without problems. Even the baggage got transferred. Better if seats declined more. I would pay an extra 40 to have a more seat recline."
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Cons: "The flight got cancelled way in advance and nobody neither airlines nor webjet.com informed us about it. Also, nobody could replace our tickets for the next day either. So our flight didn't happen and we had to drive to Washington DC to find a flight from there. So we will never buy any tickets from Kayak or Webjet.com! Extremely poor service"
Cons: "Air Canada declined to accommodate in next available flight even though the originating flight was on a single Ticket."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Pros: "On-line check-in was available."
Cons: "It was very confusing as to where to get bag tags after encountering issue with printing from the machines. No reps were kind enough to spend 3 mins to look at my situation/case and provide immediate guidance. As a result, I missed my flight and needed to pay extra to get on one."
Pros: "The gate agents were polite and the boarding was relatively smooth. Food was fine and flight attendants were Excellent!!!"
Cons: "First point of contact was incredibly rude. First she told me she couldn't find my reservation. Once she did, she gave me a lecture about my married name. Next she refused to let me take my carry on bag saying it was too large even though it fit on all flights to Montreal. Once I proved it would fit with the luggage sizer she had moved on to another customer and ignored me for 10 minutes while I stood there even though my boarding passes were printed. When I got to the flight, I found it could have been gate checked but there was no need as the flight was NOT FULL and my bag fit with no problem at all in the overhead bins. In 35 years of flying this was the worst experience I've ever had."
Cons: "Aircraft was switched for maintenance. Incredibly late arrival"
Cons: "Sat on tarmac for over an hour prior to takeoff due to "refuelling difficulties - plane fault. No coffee on a 6 am flight!!! No offer of water, snack whilst waiting on plane."
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "Great trip very easy very quick! Seats where comfy I had a good flight"
Pros: "Son enjoyed seeing Niagara Falls from the air"
Cons: "The flight was late."
Pros: "We got to Toronto"
Cons: "Those seats are tight. Also, the crew at the Toronto airport seemed to get mixed up a bit showing us where the transfer queue was."
Pros: "Timing was right on from the beginning"
Cons: "Seats were not the most comfortable for coach flight but still fine"
Pros: "Food was terrible"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "ON TIME; SAFE"
Cons: "SEATING EXTREMELY CRAMPED; NO ACCESS TO RESTROOMS IN COACH FOR 40 MINUTE TIME PERIOD DUE TO SERVICING FOOD AND DRINKS;"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "Normal quick flt."
Cons: "Nothing really, pretty standard."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "Everything was great I had a Blast"
Pros: "For a long-distance air trip in economy class, it was a generally satisfactory experience."
Cons: "The flight attendants were less than pleasant."
Pros: "Quietness of the airplane"
Cons: "The seat back was not comfortable for my back."
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "Wifi"
Cons: "TV didn't work Not snack or snack/food options even asked Got offered a drink much too late in the flight"
Pros: "Great service good food and drinks love it!"
Cons: "There was a baby kept crying the whole trip but I know that's something you can't help. Hahaha but everything else was good"
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Pros: "Everything was okay to good, industry standard these days flying from Northern America."
Cons: "Banana bread for breakfast?"
Pros: "Flying out RDU, it was delayed for 3+ hours without any reason. Took close to an hour to change flights at RDU with a very grumpy agent. I was told that I could delay a day and fly the same route the next day, or fly to Toronto, stay there a night paid by Air Canada. Was advised to stay at Toronto since the flight from RDU to Toronto delay excessively with high frequency (and it was delayed 6+ hour the next day). Flied to Toronto, was shuffled through different lines without getting anything. At 10:40PM, after arrived 1 hour 40+ minutes, sent to a line with more than 100 people in front of me..... :-( It's a horrible experience!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "A wonderful agent named Danyelle Mariner in Raleigh did an excellent job finding us an alternative flight when she saw that we would not make our connecting flight in Toronto. Thanks"
Cons: "There seems to be a problem with the Toronto flights in the afternoon. If they are all being rescheduled change the plan."
Cons: "Bread dry and no choice . Fresh fruit would be refreshing"
Pros: "I liked the fact that it was a non-stop flight."
Cons: "There were so many things I didn't like. First of all, the departure time was delayed by 30 minutes. Not cool. Secondly, the plane itself felt very small and old. It was very cold inside the plane which made the ride very uncomfortable. Thirdly, there was absolutely no in-flight entertainment on this flight, making it a very boring experience. I would not recommend this kind of air travel!"
Cons: "The woman at ticket counter was rude and not helpful"
Pros: "The fact that I was rebooked immediately to my new flight AC-DC 705 at 8:50 am by two wonderful ladies at La guardia airport who comforted then boarded me unto a flight due to the fact that I missed my original flight. This occured due to the Airport being Unorganized! As I had checked in well before 3 hours and was on time for my original flight at 8:30 am."
Cons: "I was rebooked so my new flight AC 705 was directed straight to Toronto. Only thing I disliked was that gentleman who was left at the gate for my original flight at 8:30am. He was rude!!!!"
Cons: "The flight was chaneed gates and not announced that it had been done, we just noticed that it had been reassigned. Not a big deal but it was a 10 minute walk to the new gate and could have resulted in a missed flight if we hadn't been paying attention. The flight was also delayed over an hour and still listed as an on time boarding for the original boarding time, people can make choices about eating or restroom breaks if they know they have an extra hour, also when travelling with a toddler it helps with planning feedings and naps so that the baby doesn't scream the whole flight."
