Bumped from my connected flight, we arrived earlier than scheduled and I was bumped 4.5 hours later. There was no reason, they said my time I wouldn’t have connected in time. I had 41 minutes. None of Westjet customer service in airport could figure out why me and my 5 year old were bumped from flight we booked. We had 10 minutes to get to next gate after we got off the plane, one lady mentioned that’s not enough time to get to next gate. I was there in 3 minutes. Was originally suppose to fly out at 6:50 pm And was re scheduled to 11:45pm.
Everything went well, smooth flight, arrived on time, no lost luggage!
Terrible. I was charged $75 for a checked bag when I only had a carry on. The lady at the desk said she couldn’t refund me the money and that I had to call westjet. I called the next day and they said they couldn’t refund me because there is no way to prove I didn’t have a checked bag.
WestJet employees were not properly informed about where my luggage was going causing extreme confusion and almost made me miss my flight
WestJet continues to live up to budget airline status. The flight crew were not particularly friendly and just were not attentive. We were served cold meals, not initially given any cutlery, and served wrong beverage orders. Seats are not comfortable, especially for long haul flights, and there is basically no offered in/flight entertainment. Fortunately they did have a WiFi service which did seem to work for streaming and connecting kids tablets, but if you were not prepared you were left scrambling. Mix that in with the strike concerns leading up to flights, it made for a less than ideal flight (especially when comparing it to similar class in Air Canada for the outbound flight). Third flight with WestJet but not necessarily planning on booking again.
First time flying WestJet airlines and it was a wonderful experience!
It would have been nice to know there was no on flight entertainment
It was ok. Jet was ok but it lacked many convinces we have experienced on other airlines such as in seat entertainment. Space seamed more compact than other airlines. They did not provide the gate to gate assistance we arranged for for our mom who needed a wheel chair.
Good flight. We were all boarded in good time for departure time but baggage loading had barely begun. So left late. No food just snacks and basic drinks for free (food also for purchase). No entertainment as again, unable to connect with wifi on WestJet despite being a rewards member.
For some reason pretty much all zones were called almost one after the other and we all ended up standing without moving for what seemed like a long time. Definitely not WestJet’s fault. Likely the guys in hiviz vests at boarding desk. The big problem was zero explanation. If there is a good reason for something people will understand. As a consequence of this delay flight was quite late leaving. Zero entertainment on board. I’m a Rewards member but was unable to connect to the Wifi. First world problems, I know. Flight was otherwise excellent.
There should be a visible sign of Air Canada, because I walked all around and I didn't notice where was the desk, I was in a rush for the time because it was very difficult for me to find the D gate.
Older interior meant less luggage storage space. Service was good. I was in business class. I receive better service from other carriers
Everything was lovely! Staff were helpful, food was really good.
Delays after delays only to announce we don't know how long it will take
Check-in was a nightmare. Wouldn’t let us board with our dog even though he has flown on anir Canada before. Only one of us could go. Will never fly them again.

Flight got cancelled and didn't get another flight til late and almost missed the connection because so close. We are still waiting for the bags to arrive the next day.
Great, the item that impressed us. The most was the fact that some of us were gonna have a tight connection and the crew invited those people with the tight connection to stand up and leave the plane early. Great idea and it worked for us
Overpriced. Exploitative price gouging. Appreciated getting bumped up to a seat with more leg room though.
Announcements were unintelligible. Entertainment system was non-existent. Ground crew kept changing story for flight delay.
