One plane was not fit to fly so delayed 30 minutes to get another ready, then after flying 30 minutes, had to return to airport because the plane had mechanical issues. Then after an hour being held without bathrooms at gate outside lounge, we flew and landed 4 hours late."

Cons: "Weather delays were compounded by Porter's incompetence at plane maintenance (plane was too hot when it finally arrived), crew scheduling (and then crew timed out) and finally boarding, which was a nightmare as attendants sent irate passengers who had been waiting in an overcrowded lounge for hours back and forth between podium and counter unnecessarily while ignoring protests and the fact that contradictory directions were being given. As a result, I missed my flight to a critical business event - this could have been avoided if Porter was prepared for bad weather on the East Coast (a fairly frequent occurrence) and had good contingency plans in place and customer service reps who actually knew what they were doing and how to respond to changing circumstances and customer frustration."

Cons: "4:30 flight delayed and then cancelled around 6. I booked the 8:30 flight on my own because they automatically put everyone on the next day's flight without consulting us. The 8:30 flight too was delayed and we boarded the plane at 9:45. The we were asked to deplane. They made us board a different flight at 10:45. These people should not be running an airline--it is dangerous! And what a nightmare!"

They promised me the bags would be delivered right away, then after I checked, lied to me that they had been picked up by the delivery service."

One unfortunate feature of low cost airlines across the continents seems to be the need to have read an instructional manual on how they *do things* prior to leaving for the airport ..."

Pros: "Arriving and calling someone to help me with the wheelchair was good. The women were so friendly and helpful. But when you're "stuck" in a chair and I arrived early, it would be nice for someone to check to see if you had to go the washroom. And I had to flag someone down to get me to the aircraft. No one came by and offered. But overall fantastic experience. I would fly porter again."

Had an eerie likeliness of Spirit, which we all know is just not a real airline. not sure if I would fly again if that is the general perception of Porter airlines. I could care less about comfort as long as I get to where I am going on time, which I did not."

Pros: "Liked the fact that I flew out of Toronto Islands airport, was fast and easy with complimentary snacks while waiting at the gate. I had an early morning flight and so beat the traffic, as I'm sure that picks up later in the day. Online checkin was easy and simple. I did not have any check-in luggage, only carry-on, suspect that also made it easier. The Porter airlines support call center was very helpful and friendly There were complimentary coffee and snacks at the gate... was a really nice feeling. Liked the waiting area at the gates, comfortable seating. Plane was on time. No issues"
Cons: "I had an early morning flight, so traffic was very light, but suspect that later in the day. So taking a later flight on Porter may be problematic as getting to the airport would be more difficult. The language in the email ticket confirmation made me a little concerned, as it mentioned having to re-confirm the booking and being at the airport at least 3 hours ahead even though the flight time was only 1:05 hours etc. But after calling in to the support center, the concerns were cleared up."

If you wanted something a bit more there was a mini food cafe to supplement what wasn't offered in the complimentary area. Free wifi, and ample seating made the wait for a flight bearable."
