All good for this segment
Boarding was a breeze and the attendants at the airport were very helpful
Pros: "Crew attentive"
Cons: "Check in REALLY slow. Seat space unacceptably too small. Couldn’t hear entertainment sound over engine noise with earphones so could not use entertainment. Need better earphones. Chair wouldn’t recline."
Cons: "We had a 5:35 am flight and the plane was 1/2 hour late to gate. By the time it got there, we spent over 1 hour sitting at gate loaded up waiting for weather to clear. It was fine when it was supposed to be there. Therefore, this was not initially a weather issue. Our connecting flight is 12 hours after Our schedules flight. I have a 1 year old toddler. Customer service rep less than sympathetic personality."
Pros: "Took a red eye, so slept most of the way. Crew was super chill and let me sleep the whole way. Minor turbulence, but the captain made announcements and made sure everyone felt at ease. Quick to unload passengers once we arrived at the gate. Didn't use the in-flight entertainment but there was a cool and updated map feature that was much better and more high-tech than previous AC flights I have taken. Also enjoyed how the cabin door separated economy from business class, so we didn't have to wait for the entire front of the plane to unload from the same door."
Cons: "Baggage claim took FOREVER. Air Canada needs to work on this. Waited over 1 hour."
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Liked the entertainment system and the fact that none of my luggage was lost on this trip. (Air Canada is a real pain to deal with on lost luggage.) Vegetarian meal was not gourmet, but good."
Cons: "Arrived late so next flight had to be rebooked. They did give us a food ticket though. I would give it an overall good rating (instead of okay) if it had not arrived late."
Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"
Pros: "Professionalism Pilot kept us informed"
Cons: "No free snack (like peanuts) was offered. It would be nice to be able to nibble on on a snack along with the one free drink."
Pros: "The flight attendants were excellent. The dinner was similar to business class but the breakfast was just a slice of bread."
Cons: "The leg room was too small and the seat did not recline enough to have a decent sleep."
Pros: "We had a trip planned for Las Vegas on the Wednesday following the sad and tragic shooting at the Mandalay Bay hotel. We were planning to be at the Luxor next door. Because of this proximity to the horrible scene we could not see completing this trip. The Air Canada staff understood and accommodated our need change plans. They arranged for us to fly directly home rather than to our planned stop in Las Vegas."
Cons: "Limited luggage spaceli"
Cons: "When the flight was already late (it arrived late), they delayed takeoff so that many people, including me, missed their connections."
Pros: "Friendly crew, modern aircraft"
Pros: "The plane was obviously newer and in good condition. Entertainment options were good. Window dimmers were a cool touch."
Cons: "Service from the crew was generally bad. For a 5 hour flight, we were offered one drink. We had to sit with our pile of trash for 2.5 hours before they collected it. Crew was grumpy and unpleasant. My baggage was damaged."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Our flight was turned around after we had gotten to Toronto. They claimed that they had shut down the airport due to bad weather. They took us back to Montreal where we sat in on the tarmac for two hours. They said that there was a second storm Coming through Toronto and that the airport was shutdown again. They then canceled our flight. After standing in line for three hours at customer service they told me they couldn't get me on another flight until tomorrow night and ariving at my destination two days later. The coustomer service rep then told me to just go ahead and call the customer service number because she couldn't help me. They said they wouldn't pay for any accommodations because it was weather related. The issue with their argument is that only one other flight was canceled into Toronto. Air Canada actually had several more flights that day that that landed in Toronto after they told us the airport was closed. The customer service was embarrassing. They had us wait for over three hours to be helped and there were four desk which at most times they only had two people working. Many times there was only one person. The entire thing was pathetic."
Cons: "They could have done the boarding different. There was a bit confusion about when to board."
Cons: "Screaming kids right behind me for 3 1/2 of the 4 hour flight"
Cons: "I did not fly to Montreal and I did not catch flight to Barcelona I am fling again tonight Toronto - Barcelona direct"
Pros: "The flight attendants wet very nice and accommodating"
Cons: "The clerk helping with the boarding passes was very rude."
Pros: "It is convenient to take Air Canada from our town and connct in Toronto."
Cons: "The staff are barely polite and do not really care about the passengers. No smiles, Not friendly or welcoming. We trwveled in US last month.. What a difference in attitude. The food was awful, bordering in inedible. (example salad was cold canned corn with shreds of cabbage and no dressing.) Breqkfast was a piece of bread with choice of orange or tomato juice. No tea or coffee. They lost one of our bags, no apology and another company handled the search and return. No reason given to leave it behind. baggage and carry on rules are complex and complicated, and you never know when they will decide to enforce them and penalize you. If you can get there any other way don't go Air Canada."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and pilot was knowledgeable"
Cons: "My tv screen didn't have sound !"
Pros: "Most everything was good"
Cons: "I luckily still got home on time, and was only slightly late getting into RDU, but I had hoped to have the 6 hours my original itinerary scheduled in Vancouver to quickly leave the airport. With the delays it was not possible."
Cons: "Old planes,limited food"
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "everything"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 2 hours. After boarding, we were stationary for another hour before take off. I was seated next to a couple with 2 children, and could hardly get any sleep. The only reason i took this flight was the arrival time. I am a physician and was sleep deprived at work the next day. Very disappointed!"
Pros: "I had a five year old and an eleven year old traveling with me and was able to board early and get them settled before everyone else got on."
Cons: "We didn't see much of the flight attendants and my grandson became ill. We could have used more water throughout the flight as that may have prevented him from getting sick."
Pros: "Service was poor. Attitude was less than enthusiastic."
Pros: "Eventually they got us there."
Cons: "They cancelled the sat flite. Little communication . Left us after 6 hours and 11 pm to fend for our selves with no luggage. No compensation. It was awful."
Pros: "Comfortable sheet."
Cons: "Poor selections of movie and music. Food was horrible. Boarding time was 40 min late"
Cons: "It was cancelled."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Customer service flight rebooking"
Pros: "Flight attendant's were friendly amid the circumstances."
Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."
Pros: "I liked my seat in the back, the crew, the movies, and the food."
Cons: "The two different technical issues they had that made us leave almost two hours late and caused me to miss my connecting flight."
Cons: "My trip was suppose to have two stops from Saint John to Louisville (one in Toronto and one in Chicago) but instead it ended up being a one stop flight from Saint John to Toronto to Cincinnati because I had to change my whole itinerary due to delays in air canada flights that caused me to miss my other connections. This made me to fly into an entirely different city and have my reception drive to get me for the only other option I was told by an air Canada representative was to take the delayed flight and miss my last connection and overnight Chicago (one of my original connections) and then fly to Louisville the next morning. This was not something I planned on doing and didn't have the time to do so had to find an alternative arrangement to get me close to where I needed to be. The first flight I was on from Saint John to Toronto was also delayed causing the flight to be late upon arrival at the Toronto airport. Not only that but then had to wait in line at the customs center for over an hour for only one customs officer was there to clear over 100+ passengers. Even if my other flights were on time I would have missed them due to the delays all around. Over all I was very displeased with how the day progressed, how I wasn't given much help from the air canada representatives at the airport other than them saying "there's nothing we can do" and for how the day continued to get worse with delays and problems all linked to air Canada."
Pros: "the flight actually went"
Cons: "our gate was switched and then there were no updates until after the original boarding time passed"
Pros: "Everything was great."
Cons: "Movies were way too old and too little selection. If one does not have a mobile device has to pay for entertainment."
Cons: "Terrible attitude to a customer (not me). I asked for a US custom form and it took them an hour and two people to do that."
Pros: "The flight was late. The plane was overcrowded. N explanation given until we were on the plane. They boarded us then made us wait in the jetway for 15 or 20 minutes. No room in the seats whatsoever"
Cons: "Most everything! Unapologetic about delay and gate changes. Lousy boarding. Plane uncomfortable."
Pros: "I liked the service. I dont like flying much but the stewdardes made me feel comfortable so it was a good flight"
Cons: "Flight was delayed more than 2 hours, seats very tight"
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "plane left late , crew gave absolutely no updates. Crew gave no help in helping us make our international flight we boarded our international flight minutes before they closed doors and we were panicked and ran through terminal for which seemed like miles I will never use this airline again"
Pros: "Billy Bishop airport is awesome!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed and crew didn't accommodate a rebooking despite availability .. Although original flight did board soon after."
Pros: "It seemed like a quick flight."
Cons: "Better food needed."
Pros: "Food for purchase options and entertainment."
Cons: "Crew is so slow!!!"
Pros: "This was the first time traveling to Canada. Everything went so smooth. I will definitely be using Air Canada again!"
Pros: "The extremely unempathetic Toronto Air Canada customer service agent was a particularly fond memory from my trip."
Cons: "After weather forced us to miss our flight to Delhi from Toronto (understandable), Air Canada booked us on an AC flight to London and then an Air India flight to Delhi from London. In Toronto they told us that we couldnt get our bags because they were in storage, but that they would be on the plane to London and then to Delhi. Upon arriving in London, Air India told us that Air Canada never booked us on their flight to Delhi - that neither of our names were on their manifest. Air India was helpful in getting Air Canada's mistake fixed. Upon arriving in India, my partners bag was nowhere to be found. It would be logical to assume that his bag was in London and never made the imaginary flight Air Canada booked us on. However, even though our bags sat in Air Canada storage for 24 hours, his bag was never even loaded onto our flight to London. He didn't receive his bag until 6 days into our trip, causing all of us to miss out on multiple experiences, including the ability to leave Delhi because of our need to get his bag and multiple missed and promised deadlines from the airline."
