Cons: "This was a United flight sold as Air Canada to me and Lufthansa to my friend. This made check in twice as long since we went to the wrong counters. The quality was horrendous for an international flight and the entertainment system was broken. I paid atleast 50% more than I should have. Never fly UA"

Cons: "My flight was cancelled and rebooked for the following day with the same itinerary, which would have defeated the purpose of going on my trip (a wedding). I called and Air Canada put me on a same day flight on Delta. That flip was delayed, and I would have missed my connection. Finally, I was rebooked again, but didn't get in until several hours later than I would have gotten in."

Pros: "This was a boring flight which is a good thing, no drama, no mechanical problems, no weather problems. More leg room than an overseas flight."

Pros: "My group of five arrived to the airport late (one hour before the flight took off), but the crew worked together to quickly process all of us and get us through to ensure that we didn't miss our flight. We really appreciated it!"

Cons: "Plane was small, seats not very comfortable, entertainment system was down. After traveling 24 hours it was not pleasant. Additionally, coming from Vancouver on a late arrival, no one helped expedite me to the flight. I had to leave International, clear immigration and Customs, then enter immigration and US Customs. When I told anyone I was possibly missing my next flight it was met with a shrug, as if it was just my problem. Not a good way to treat customers."

Cons: "Air Canada has very poor communication with customers. Having seen that ALL flights were delayed (it was 9:40 pm when I connected through Toronto) I asked 2 Air Canada employees about my 10:30 flight that showed on time on the monitor but Kayak already said it was late. They said it was late due to late inbound aircraft. A fellow passenger informed me that TO was down to one runway and things would be late late - which they were. TALK to us Air Canada!!!"

Pros: "I really liked the entertainment. Not knowing the Toronto airport I did ask a few crew for help where to go for customs and continuing flight. We got a ride to get closer to customs. After going through customs we asked again where to go for continuing flight and finally got to our location and they were just starting to board. Felt a little too rushed no time for bathroom break."
Cons: "Leg room not very much with bag in front under the seat in front of you. Legs fell asleep and knees locked really needed more room for legs."

Cons: "TO - Pearson AIRPORT horrid CUSTOMS layout- all automation with little assistance and little signage what to do... when 300+ people need it simultaneously it is a mess. NO warnings if/when to collect luggage or not- so waste time at baggage carosel when it is not coming out between flights. Too few Attendants sending connections on wild walk through long concourses to undefined line ups. Customs surely...not humored at all. Why the second time 45 mins cattle line up for security pass through before customs?? IN TRANSIT STILL??!! Not having proper crew ready to take over flight when delays make first crew sign off...waited on plane with no service for 1.5 hrs no water or food - should have disembarked to terminal?? Babies kids had 5 hrs onboard with no distractions or food. YIKES!! In the AIRPORT lack of AIR Canada personnel attending gateways! EMPTY until 20 mins before flights. Customer Service Desks somewhat helpful...could do more form their stations."

Pros: "Better than driving 19.5 hours home comfort wise but much more expensive for 4 people. Would have driven if our stay was more than 10 days."
Cons: "- Overhead storage was occupied by someone else sitting in a seat rows away so I had to store my carry on under the seat in front of me reducing my leg room even more than the cramped seat."

Cons: "The flight was gradually postponed more and more, with very little communication on the ground. What communication we did get was spotty, and not delivered in a pleasant manner."

Cons: "We missed our flight. OK, our fault. Any attempts to contact the airline were unsuccessful. They did not have an office in the airport and the numbers we were given at the information desk to US, Canada, or the local representative were not responsive. We ended up buying tickets for another airline. We were lucky to get the last minute fares for $630 one way. Air Canada's price was over $6,000. An e-mail from the airline reminding of the check-in time would have prevented all this."

Cons: "I was held aside at the customs area and had a difficult time figuring out what was going on. Signage was less than helpful, and staff were unaware of why I was being held. After over 30 minutes during which the gate staff could only tell me to wait and watch for my initials on the electronic board, the staff learned that some bags on my arrival flight had been accidentally diverted to Canadian customs rather than US customs, and passengers could not proceed to connecting flights until our bags were located. The customer service staff then worked very hard on our problem. I was instructed to re-book my flight, since by now the doors were about to close - but that customer service person could not re-book me, and I had to queue up again for another agent. When I got to the desk, that agent was able to get me approved to board my flight sans bag, ran me to the front of the Immigration line, and got me to my gate in time to board. I deeply appreciate her assistance, as my family was already on the plane."

Cons: "Overbooked and was removed from flight without notice. Was flown to Newark, NJ instead. The next plane was broken and had to disembark. Got home 8 hours late, after 2am, and had to pay for transportation from airport because prearranged transportation was no longer available. Plane was dirty and staff was rude."

Cons: "The gate facility at the Toronto airport was worse than a bus terminal. It was over-crowded and chaotic. Again, we boarded through the tarmac and not through a walkway."

Cons: "One of the crew member was so rude to petition. We were surprised and very unpleasant to watch her attitude and way she talked to people. So bad! And your costomer service phone lines are terrible!!!!! Never answer the phone and waiting time is over 30min! What kind of airline customer service line is this horrible?"

Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."
