Cons: "Extra charge for luggage - it showed up in the itinerary only after everything has been paid for. And even the paid suitcase allowed 23 kg only. It has been just over TEN years ago that you had two suitcases at 32 kg each included in price! Does the airline seriously believe that you can travel around the world with just a swim trunk in your pocket? This policy is an insult to any world traveller. We do not all go into an all-inclusive resort! The only drink offered during the flight was plain water, again a step down from before where they also offered others, e.g. orange juice. Seating - now that big persons have the right for two seats for the price of one, when will the same rational apply to tall people?"

Pros: "I wanted to let you know that we tried to make a chuck in and could not be made online. our flight left vancouver to Israel via Zurich. we were three adults and a nine year old girl, we separated all of us, only at the airport, we managed to get the girl to sit with her mother. that it's my daughter, i see it sternly, we can not be done twenty-four hours in advance of chuck in, and they separate us all, you are bad, and will consider in the future to continue your service, will i weel not recommend you to our friends. your company is turned on by bad people. we telephoned, and it was impossible to correct the mistake that your pepole made , only at the airport we were able to get a partial answer."

Pros: "The Plane Flew"
Cons: "The plane was delayed. Missed my connection because the plane was delayed. No food choice, just whatever they gave me. Food was poor. Entertainment system is dated beyond belief. Staff was in no way helpful or informative regarding rebooking my flights. We were told we would be met by representatives when we got off the plane, we were not. (Same goes for my Flight from Hamburg, to Toronto) Leaving a good amount of people stranded and trying to make the final boarding call of their connecting flight."

Cons: "This flight was overbooked and even though I booked in November for this Dec 30th flight I was given a seat 30 cm across from the bathroom. The crew area for meal Preparation etc was also directly behindmy seat. Needless to say, I got no sleep on this eight hour flight, had to endure disgusting smells from the bathroom and people hitting my seat every time they passed by bc this is an area where there is not usually a seat. Everyone waiting for the bathroom was in my bubble. To add salt in the wound, the TV and light for reading also did not work. This was the worst flight I've ever had and I feel Air Canada put these 2 seats there as a money grab. No one should ever have to sit there, especially when paying full price."

Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"

Pros: "Air Canada has one of the best buy on board menu's of any North American carrier. They even allow you to purchase Business Class meals (subject to availability of course). Flying on the older 767-300ER also has more shoulder and leg room than some of Air Canada's newer configurations for the 787 and 777."
Cons: "Air Canada's boarding process is a bit frustrating. On American Airlines and United Flight attendants make announcements over the PA to (a) step out of the aisle to let people pass, and (b) place larger suitcases in the overhead and smaller bags under the seat. That way they try to ensure there is enough bin space to accommodate everyone. Passengers on Air Canada stuff everything in to the overhead bin and nothing under their seat, leaving little for those boarding after and delaying the flight because flight attendants are looking for bin space. If they were more pro-active, it would speed things up."

Pros: "I liked the clean cabin, decent service during meals and overall amenities offered. The plane itself was quite nice and more comfortable than most."
Cons: "The food seemed to be quite a small portion. The chicken entree was normal size, but lacking in taste. The side was also bland in flavor but a good mix of veggies. I would have enjoyed another small snack, such as cheese and crackers or some such. The movie list was fairly good with somewhat recent items. The TV list was lacking in choices, it seemed. However, that may be the content of modern TV. Access to the toilets were often hindered by staff, especially in the rear of the cabin. We were 45 minutes late. I was already booked on a flight 5+ hours later, which was nice. However, I was given a only a food voucher of 31CHF. The amount was wonderful, but they offered this at a time when I had already eaten on the plane and was not hungry at all. I could only buy a few things to eat or take with me, and the rest of the amount was wasted. Alternatives, could have been a partial refund, a visa gift card, an upgrade on my flight back, etc."

Pros: "Boarding and deplaning were easy and pleasant. The 4 hour wait passed pretty quickly. The seating was tight but expected. The flight was smooth, the crew friendly and responsive. Plane was clean, bathrooms clean, nicely kept that way throughout the flight. I did have help reconstructing my import-export card."
Cons: "Space under the seats is smaller than expected. With passengers waiting in the aisle to get their seats, I had a second to decide what to take out of my one carry-on before putting it in the overhead bin, and as a result, was without some necessities during the flight. Pearson is a problem. Flights from everywhere were backed up behind a single person operating in security, and hardly any AC personnel there could speak English clearly. The confusion & wait time pretty distressing to most people in line. I had 4 hours to the next flight so wasn't worried, but waited 1 hour in line in the airport hallway before getting in to present information to security. Situation at airport is not good at all. I'd try to avoid Pearson as a transit point if I could, in the future. The music channels were so distorted I couldn't listen to any of the offerings. Too bad about that, but it didn't ruin the flight. Arrival in Zurich was on time and easy."

Cons: "Entertainment options very poor considering it is a 5 hr flight. Hadn't realized that they actually made planes without a seat back screen these days! Too many people allowed to bring too much hand luggage on board. Significantly delayed the process of getting people seated. Also, anxiety levels of passengers increases when they start to realize they will have nowhere to put their luggage. Not the perfect start to any flight."

Cons: "cost of luggage fees. You collect excessive fees for luggage and when you loose the luggage or it arrives on a later flight you should refund the fee. I was on a hunting trip and my firearm didn't come in on my flight necessitating my rebooking a later flight. You didn't mind collecting an extra $100 to handle the gun case but you didn't deliver on your end. I will never fly to Canada again on Air Canada."

Cons: "Having to pay to have a bit of extra comfor while traveling with a 14 months old"

Cons: "I tried to call your airlines to reserve a spot for humanitarian supplies. I run a rescue for dogs in Cancun. I could never get through to anyone and there is no info on your tickets about the cost of a third bag. I was charged an extra $500.00 for two extra bags that were carrying donated supplies to help the animals. But your airline made it a useless endeavor because they ended up costing more than they were worth. The people at the gate were unbending and I'm so disappointed that it is more important to you to make money than help non-profit organizations. I have run Isla Animals for 15 years and have had much help from kind airlines, I won't be flying yours or recommending yours to any dog lovers."

Pros: "a lot of leg room, fast boarding, nice screen, cool window with adjustable darkness."
Cons: "all my food were not covered when hostess delivered the tray, salad was missing, apparently it fell into the trolley while she pulled the tray out. and then i couldn't eat it because it was frozen. food quality was just really bad; whenever the crew passed by they were speaking really loud like to the other side of the valley, probably not necessary; the seat itself has a fancy look but the cushion is not comfortable at all, couldn't really rest one's head on it as it would just keep sliding sidewards . another thing that the airline can't really help- baby crying & screaming all the time and playing toys with music, couldn't get any sleep at all... perhaps a "kids zone" like trains have would be good for planes.. ?"

Pros: "-Staff offered free things like headphones and 15 minutes of wifi access to compensate for multiple delays -Cheap! -I was rescheduled to this flight after my previous flight was delayed and prevented me from taking my original flight back, but I was moved up to boarding zone 3 in return"
Cons: "-Significant delay prevented me from checking in to my room, which was highly inconvenient. Fortunately I had a friend who was willing to have me, but if not (and because the nearby hotels are filled up due to the beginning of freshman orientation at my college), I would have had nowhere to stay after 13+ hours of flying and exhaustion. This alone significantly hurt the experience."

Cons: "When I arrived to my seat, the overhead compartment was full. I had no room for my carry-on. I mentioned it to the flight attendant. He just shrugged and told me to put my carry-on under the seat in front of me. So, #1, I guess some people bring more carry-on and the staff lets them. And #2, I guess it wasn't tight enough in those seats and even though I'm over 6 ft, the staff had to make it tighter. Also, when it was time to land, I thought my seat was all the way up. It was not fully all the way up. I was half asleep, and all of sudden, instead of telling me, one of the flight attendant pushed on the button to raise my seat. I would've appreciated him telling me. The landing was delayed, but that's no ones fault at rouge. I am trying to be as objective as I can. Hopefully, when (and if) someone at Air Canada-Rouge reads this, he or she has enough "pull" at the company to ask the proper authorities:"what kind of company are we? Are we a bargain basement flight company that offers just basic flights for extremely low prices? Or are we an average flight company that offer great value for the money the customer pays?" Because, from my perspective as a customer who is at his second experience with Air Canada-Rouge, the feeling that I get from flying with you guys, is that your company offers basic flights that doesn't offer great value for the money. It's more a company that "plays on both fields", taking what suits them, and leaving what doesn't , regardless of their customer. I understand that a company has to make money. It's normal. But, at a certain point, don't you have to think about your customers? To be honest, the only reason I flew with Air Canada-Rouge is that I was stuck with no other choices but to fly with you (schedule, cost, etc.) And I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. The feeling that I get, is that your company counts on customer like me. Customers that are "stuck", with no other alternatives. If your company wants to offer many "cheap direct flights" like Ryanair and Easyjet offer in Europe, I have 2 suggestions: #1: lower your prices. #2 :your staff should be more customer friendly savvy. Because those 2 companies, that's what they offer. Always remember: you can put a lot of maple syrup on a pile of sh***t, it still won't taste like pancakes. Thank you."

Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

Pros: "On the way to Puerto plata liked bigger plane ride but stuff not too much rand bell twice no one responded until I called them I liked your own check in and pre sitting arrangement Did not like paying for first suitcase Did not like paying for second suitcase as it was a donation for a church"
Cons: "I did not like the price of first class I would have liked first class because of a bad back but could not afford the extra $ 400.00 option plus with other planes more affordable Such a long walk to board a plane Not sure if I would fly Air Canada again But overall I would give it a four Not sure why they also checked my suitcase but I appreciated them doing it in front of me although they had slterior motives But it's good safety to check people's luggage it makes me feel safer Thank you for asking my opinion"

Pros: "Same. I was well taken care of despite the weather delay. Crew was friendly but more stressed and a little slow. Seats were comfortable and there was more leg room than normal."
Cons: "Not enough time with the lights off so we could sleep easier during the long flight."

Cons: "Staff was rude, Flight attendant was not. Very bad terminal-small, packed, no seating, no help. I was using w/c help but was passed from one person to another, was left at gate with no help to get to another gate or anything. I had suitcase, bag AND a w/c to manage by myself. Difficult to get to bathroom let alone try to get anything to eat or drink( so I didn't). Delays x3. Staff didn't know what was going on. (Other flights also) couldn't hear announcements."

Cons: "No TVs on a 10 hour flight, check-in got messed up but nobody kept us informed and I had to run to the gate with no time to get water or snacks, trash service was very slow so my trash kept piling up, meal was not very good"

Cons: "The food was not that great. Very less in quantity. Vey low quality. Even Chinese airlines offers better food while traveling from Vancouver to Beijing. The airlines should improve their food services."
