Be at the airport at least three hours in advance and have your meal before boarding. I am short so if a passenger hadn’t helped me, I would not have reached the overhead bin.

FAQs - booking Florida flights

  • What are some common layovers on the route from Toronto to Florida?

If you are not flying direct, the layovers you have during your flight largely depend on your airline and your destination airport. For example, Delta Air Lines typically has a layover in Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) on its way to Miami, while Air Canada offers a stop in Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and United Airlines stops in Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). Occasionally, you’ll find flights with two stops, but these are usually flights that involve two different airlines.

  • If I want to visit the Florida panhandle, which airport should I fly to?

If you plan to visit any of the destinations in the Florida panhandle, you may want to consider flying to Orlando from Toronto and then renting a car to drive the rest of the way. Orlando International Airport is located in central Florida and is the closest major airport to the panhandle, which is a destination served by flights from Toronto.

  • Do I need a visa to fly from Toronto to Florida?

  • How can I make my flight from Toronto to Florida more sustainable?

Eco-conscious travelers will want to take a few steps to make their travel more sustainable. First, pack light. This reduces the weight of the plane and therefore the amount of fuel used. Next, book a direct flight whenever possible, as the most fuel is used during landings and takeoffs, so reducing the number of these within your trip reduces your fuel use. Finally, consider flying with Air Canada or WestJet, two of the most eco-friendly airlines flying this route.

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Toronto to Florida.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Toronto to Florida?

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Toronto to Florida?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly from Toronto to Florida with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Toronto to Florida?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from Toronto to Florida up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

All good the seats a little tight and no I pad screen

Everything was good except the fact you charge more for a carry on bag vs a check in bag and to top it off in US$ that was not impressive

Our flight was cancelled at the last minute for maintenance reasons and we were rebooked on a late flight when we purposefully booked our flight to be home early due to work.

Seemed like an old plane. Very noisy. The seat cushions were so old that the metal bracing of the seats were poking through. There was plenty of leg room though.

Flight was delayed over 2 hours, then landed at a different airport!

The whole experience from check in to deboarding was fantastic.

Just an evening before they canceled my ticket and offered me ticket costing 3 x times more than. I will not fall prey to these scams,Will never book through kayak now. Such a bad experience.

was okay except.. 1)the porter check in webpage doesn't let you print your boarding pass from home 2)that there was a 90 min cut off for checking in on the kiosk in general, and to print a boarding pass, even tho i checked in online already....

Great! Personable crew. I love that they pour complimentary beer and wine.

I love the 2 seats per row. More room. The crew were excellent.

I liked the choice of lemon ginger tea. I think stewardesses can be more considerate of older people needs.

It was all good flight was on time, service was good I enjoyed a few movies and everything was smooth

I love flying with United. Unfortunately, I flew on an older plane with minimal upgraded technology (no Bluetooth functionality or handy charging ports). Otherwise, the flight was great and even arrived early.

They changed my seats after I checked in and I was stressed from the time I saw that information until just before boarding, when the gate attendant fixed it, but it shouldn't have happened. And if it couldn't be prevented, then the people on the phone I spoke with should have done something to help, which they did not, nor did they offer me compensation, just meaningless apologies.

Smooth flight, especially take off and landing, and great crew on board. Really loved the stroopwaffles!

The crew was fantastic. They were there whenever we needed. The wifi didn’t work which was brutal on an 11 hour flight. The onboard entertainment was boring. Nothing of interest

Stewardess spilled orange juice on my clothes/seat no help no apology just threw napkins at me to clean the mess up. Not Happy.

We tried to upgrade to economy premium but were told this was not possible as we had booked through United Airlines (and Air Canada was operating the flight). This seemed silly given there was ample space in economy premium. Additionally, we had to wait almost 1.5 hours upon arrival to taxi to the gate. Otherwise, the crew were very pleasant and passengers were friendly.

It was my first time with United Airlines and I would say it was very good experience and best of all the flights were on time. Will definitely fly with United Airlines next time.

headphone jack didnt work for the first flight and not much variety

Staff were courteous and helpful. The only negative was the flight delays (which are usually unavoidable) and the high baggage price.

Absolutely terrible, from the customer service to boarding the plane. On the phone, there was some mishaps with getting in my correct date and they did not help me retrieve a refund or any assistance. I’m gonna be reporting to all my followers and family around the region of Los Angeles to New York.

Arrival at Comox from, London,ON 6 hours later... No bueano

Generally good. However. The flight left 30 mins behind schedule with no reason given.

Flight delayed, missed my pick-up had to Uber, plus missed dinner and medication, so sad!

Nothing to like because my inbound flight was cancelled without notification by West Jet or third party, JustFly. I couldn’t take the inbound flight due to cancellation; therefore could not take the outbound flight back.

Not the greatest experience everything was pretty mediocre. My seat was by the washroom in the aisle and was not located well as everyone past each other people were right in my seat and space.

The small prop plane was crowded and the overhead luggage storage is a smaller than on the jets. Other than that, the crew was good, the flight was on time and the landing was smooth.

There was a medical emergency that the crew handled very well. There was no “entertainment” of any sort-no movie/music/whatever. Food was typical of airlines: mediocre.

We never had an experience they canceled the flight and they did not offer us an alternative flight. I had to book one on my own expense. They offered us food voucher and we could not use them at the airport it kept saying not attached to an existing flight. The people at the counter were rude and cold and they did not care about our situation

Flight got delayed for no reason. And Air Canada was doing 3 boardings via the same gate. It was chaotic!

Wonderful airline. All staff were pleasant and helpful. What is sad is that it wasn’t grand gestures just everyday pleasantness and friendliness that are missing from the other airlines I have flown recently.

Friendly efficient crew, but plane had no way to charge phone. That is a near necessity with today’s travel where we carry out travel documents on our phones.

Orlando to Canada, despite being close and an international flight, the plane was not at all comfortable. It felt like the chair was being pushed forward, in addition to not having a TV and having to choose from a tiny glass of drink, for example, water or soda. I couldn't have both. When I asked the flight attendant for an extra glass of water, she looked at me with an ugly face. This is ridiculous. They don't want to give water to passengers. I will never fly with this airline again in my life.

In a nutshell, my bag, the one I have to pay for, because now you can’t even bring a carry on, did not make it. I am still waiting for an update. The fact that not only were have to pay for it, but on top of that we are stuck without getting it, it’s ridiculous..

This was an excellent experience for a very short flight.

No space in overhead bin, one cookie, 2 oz of juice - is not customer service.

Somebody either kayak or Air Canada booked my flight under my preferred name Betty instead of my legal name and I almost was denied boarding my flight

The ground staff was so rude in Toronto airport ...very rude and did not answer simple questions, and made me look like a fool. Very rude ground staff.

My flight got delayed 5 times and then got cancelled eventually, I had to get a hotel and uber and pay for food for an extra night without any plans. It was a horrible experience, instead of Air Canada, I was flying with United .

Very bead I am going to Vancouver to toronto. Not boarding receive. Before flight ✈️ time I have to take boarding. Boarding manager asking me pay $89 . Just flight ✈️ time before I pay .after provided the Boarding pass. Flair Airlines management not good. But kayak is best application.

Not good Even after I made my booking, I was charged $90 for my boarding pass. I have collected boarding pass i pay $90 near . Flair airline not good. Without pay no boarding pass.

The flight was smooth, but the seats are not comfortable. I was not able to sleep. The sizes for the personal item and carry-on are way smaller than other airlines.

Leg room was terrible and seats very narrow. Flight was also delayed.

The worst airline experience that I ever had in my life. The fare was cheap but boy do you pay for it when it comes to baggages, carry-ons, food on board and lack of available staff at check-in. Almost every other passenger on my flight had the same complaints and experience. We all bonded discussing our displeasure. My husband and I will definitely not be traveling with Flair Airlines. We'll take anyone else.

The most uncomfortable plane I ever fly on. The seats won't even recline a little. For a 5 hrs flight at night and tired it felt like torture

Seats in 1 res are dispersed all over the plane, even child was across

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.
