Air India The most poor service ever

Cons: "We were told luggage to be collected at vasco de gama. It was unloaded at Bangalore. We then had 13 hours stuck in the airport with our luggage. Had our luggage not been unloaded, as expected, we would have a bit more freedom to move about. My luggage tickets had come off so I had to re-check in in. They then gave me the wrong labels saying i had to check in at internationals. This caused terrible chaos and they did not seem to understand when I tried to explain that going from Bangalore to vasco de gama was domestic. Other than that a pleasant journey."

Cons: "entertainment was not working with few head phones on different seats. Ground staff can be more organised in traffic management at the time of boarding the plane. Different staff was giving different instructions aggravating the passengers and the staff members in return."

Cons: "Online check-in did not matter as we still had to wait in line to drop off the bags. A baggage drop off for those checked in online would help reduce check-in lines as the counter..Food can be better, but that is true for most airlines..I think Air-India works on India time schedule as they offer alcoholic drinks at noon only (9:30 PM in India), the flight leaves IAD at 11 AM, and not during dinner service."

Cons: "Neither the touch screen display or the remote worked. Mentioned that to one of the flight attendant who told me that the system will be reset after the food service. That did not happen so after waiting for another 2 hours into the flight, I spoke to another attendant who did reset the entertainment system. It did not work. Brought it to her attention and the response I got was, "Sorry, the flight is full and there is no other seat available". I had to sit through 14 hour long journey looking at other passengers or hear babies cry non-stop !"

Cons: "Flight got delayed by 2 hours, resulting in missing connection of Air Canada flight from Delhi. . Missed connection. Poor customer service where Air India team first issued Boarding pass for next day Air Canada flight, and then took it back and asked me to deal with Air Canada directly this causing excessive inconvenience and loss of money, as Air Canada declined to allow me in their next day flight and I had to buy new Tickets to get back home in US."

Cons: "Baggage handling! The baggage was damaged beyond repair and still the procedure calls for getting a formal quote for repair! If they are asking for a quote in the US, they might as well have a recommendation on the shop where repair or a formal quote can get done!"

Cons: "Crew members did not do their job well. They were not in service continuously for 3-4 hours. Its like they will serve one meal and then passengers will be on their own for next 3-4 hours. They never repeated any alcohol or soft drinks. Just one time and that too at the beginning. The aircraft was out of water for last 4-5 hours. It was like hell and even restrooms were part of it. Complete mess it was and I will never go with air India."
Pros: "It's a direct flight from JFK to DEL. I slept 11 out of 15 hours. They were generous with booze. The whole thing went by relatively painlessly."
Cons: "The audio jack on my seat was broken (actually, it had been ripped out). I made do and watched a movie by turning on subtitles, but it wasn't ideal. The food was just so-so. It was Indian food but not prepared well. I'm Indian and a foodie so perhaps my standards are high, but tasty food is a dime a dozen in Delhi so please, get a new caterer. Also, nobody wants a white bread roll with their Indian meal (perhaps I am mistaken here). Instead, give us yogurt! Both of these are minor problems and I'd like to reiterate how important it is to me that the flight is direct, with no painful break in the middle to deplane and then wait 5-8 hours and then replane."

Cons: "1. Recommend a better presentation of food and improve quality. This is not a hospital recommended food, so stop cutting corners! 2. Improve your seats and make sure they are not ripped 3. Improve your bathroom with quality healthcare items. - When someone is paying thousands of dollars to fly, at least provide them with decent hand soap with a bottle that is not broken - Do not put those bottles that come in hotels, but put some decent fixtures"

Cons: "The bathroom was disgusting, with puddles and papers all over the floor, the carpets around the seats were dingy, an there was garbage around the plane."
