Pros: "Everything from the booking to the flight was fabulous. I couldn't be more pleased with how smoothly this flight went. I was traveling alone, so I was nervous about that until taking this flight. Every single staff member made sure I was feeling comfortable and very kind. In this same weekend, The plane is very roomy, and I took coach. I am 5 foot 9, so it's hard to find space for my legs. I did not have this problem at all, even with the person in front of me reclining their chair!! They have plugs for your charger for each individual seat, and the overhead lights don't blind you if your passenger buddy is using one and you're not. I love that!!! I will only use Alaska from here on out."

Pros: "We had a flight attendant, by the name of Bob, on the flight from SLC to Sea-Tac. He was very animated and lively through the flight, for instance during the safety demonstration he would carry on conversations with those of us close to him seamlessly and effortlessly, plus make funny gestures -- such as a thumbs-up when the seat-belt was correctly fashioned -- during the presentation. His wife was the head attendant (?) who gave the instructions, and he had fun with that as well. These are two people who do their job well, enjoy what they do, and leave a positive experience in the hearts of those they serve. I think they would be a fantastic feature story in Alaska Airlines magazine in the future."

Cons: "It was the worst flight experience i have ever had!!. Our flight was scheduled for departure at 845 pm July 5th, and did not end up departing until 203 am!! We had to sit in the airport for 8 hrs, i barely had any money left and had to use it on food and snaks while we waited. The staff was very rude. I had asked them different times what was going on, because the time of departure kept changing and what were my kids and i supposrd to do, and they just said sorry and dont know what to tell you. After spending my last bit of money on food for my kids and i, I was told by another passanger that the airlines were giving vouchers for food. They never once in the 4 or 5 times i talked to them, offered or told me about the vouchers. It was a terrible experience all around!! We landed in portland at 330 am and had to still drive 3 hours home. we didnt get home until 630am. Ridiculous!!!! I was and am still very upset about the whole thing. Also the staff that was so rude in SaltLake City, every time i would see a concerned or upset passenger go up to talk to them, as soon as they would walk off the staff was over there giggling with each other about it. So Very RUDE!!! Another passanger said that Alaskan Airlines has habbit of having problems with delays . If this is the kind of experience that comes with flying Alaskan, then i will never fly with them again.!!! or go througj expedia"

I have flown both Southwest and Alaska; Alaska is by far the better airline even though your flight attendants act bored out of their mind. In their defense however, dealing with 150+ people in a confined space has got to be just shy of having a frequent nightmare. I will definitely fly with Alaska again."

Instead, i checked in on time, and within 10 minutes we went from 'On Time' to four hours late due to equipment and crew. Very inconsiderate and unappreciated to your customer. The flight should have been free after such an inconsiderate gesture on your part. Instead, you send me a gift certificate that obligates me to spend more money with you in order to redeem it, and then within a certain period of time. If I have choice in the future, I'll lean toward a different airline than yours. You clearly do not value my time nor my business."

Pros: "Alaska Air is a breath of fresh air in light of the recent problems with United and American Airlines! The attendants were not weary, bored, angry, absent, arrogant or any of those off-putting attitudes. Out of SFO to PDX, one sparkling voice announced: Well folks, let's get this party started!", which brought chuckles ruffling througth the cabin! And, ipso facto, there was a party atmosphere from takeoff to landing at PDX. Her attitude set the tone through some bumpy spring weather. Another her 'day' started at 2am from somewhere before SLC. This was a woman who was so outside the norm for her here-to-fore perceived position that she didn't feel the need to perform her duties with a stoic, reserved, stick-in-the-mud presentation, that I was immediately drawn to her and we had great repartee! Lynne Ledingham, flight 743G SLC-PDX. BTW, my Alaska vacay started at PDX two weeks earlier on a flight to SLC, so I flew Alaska all the disjointed way! I will always choose Alaska in the future and have told everyone I know that Alaska is a very bright light in the travel industry and I hope it never goes out!"

I bought that as one ticket with transfers and they treat my Asian travel as a separate ticket even though it was suppose to be as one. Very disappointed. At the gate in SLC lady harassed me about my passport bag on my neck. Something wrong with their heads! How about harassing passengers if they have hats or coats?"

Cons: "The flight changed from Alaska to Hawaiian airlines in San Diego. They were in different terminals way to close in time to each other. We had to leave security and go back through tsa to get to the connecting flight and missed boarding. We got to the gate at 10:05 with a flight of 10:15. They knew we were coming but still have our seats away. They told us that they couldn't delay the flight and let us on the plane. We had to wait 24 hours for the next flight with no way to get anywhere and no hotel. We slept in the airport and had to go through security again just to get to our flight. Once we boarded and were seated the gangway moved away from the plane. We waited and then the gangway came back to the plane and 4 passengers were taken off the flight. How can they delay the flight to take people off but not to let us on the plane the previous day?! My mother was born in Hawaii and our family was going to get birth place where she lived and I missed that opportunity because they wouldn't let us board because it would delay the flight. It would have delayed a 6 hour fligh for 10 minutes. Our luggage made it on the flight but we didn't. I'm extremely disappointed in the way it was handled by the ticket counter agents."

Taxiing on the tarmac was interrupted many times, and took overall 30 minutes. The pilot kept informing us. I was probably not the only passenger that had and urgent need to reach a bathroom... Of course, Delta should not be blamed"

When I did this the woman was quite short with me and quickly said "The flight is not overbooked!" I was not looking for a hand out - just following instructions as I was not able print my boarding pass in advance because the flight was, at that time, overbooked. She was a bit rude. Lastly, the flight attendant was not very attentive- she stood in the front ate food & was reading something on her phone the entire flight after delivering beverages. She suddenly realized we were making our descent and then came back through the cabin. I just thought this odd.."

I have many friends and family who lives in canada and usa but by facing this bad behaviour and problems never ever recomnd your airline to any of them."

Cons: "The flight was 5 hours 40 min late The Flight attended (her name was if not mistaken Staysy or start with S) was staying at the door as a security guard in a detention center without formal greeting “welcome on board”, no smile at all and later jumped on me regarding my bag. I was seated when her collage pulled my back bag from the compartment to make room for a bigger luggage, left it on the seat next to me and said will take care later. With frustrating tone Staysy showed up and command me to put it under the seat. I told her to put it under and not to command me with this tone... as it was not my decision the bag to be there. She did put it under but kept making comments and even did not apologize. A frustrating flights - over 5 hours late with spicy flight attendant attitude."

Cons: "I had safety concerns on the flight from YVR to Toronto because seated in the exit row were two individuals who were brought to the gate assisted on a cart and had to wait for assistance to get on and off the flight. They had very poor ambulation which made me nervous as these people have agreed, by sitting in the exit row, that they are able and willing to help in the case of an emergency evacuation. This was not a safe situation and was noted by several passengers."

Pros: "The cabin crew were outstanding on WS709 today. This is my fourth trip with Westjet, and today stood above. Diane was beyond efficient and pleasant while maintaining a smile and grace, while a number of unattended children were onboard. My seat was changed, and that's fine - mostly because of the manner in which the crew at Pearson handled it. Then, I couldn't resist giving up my re-assigned (centre) seat so that two sisters could sit together. The two folk in my row were lovely, they talked more than I did, but when I joined in, it was a genuinely pleasant conversation. Three strangers, meeting per chance. The woman next to me had given her seat up for a family to sit together, so it really was a chance encounter! Diane needs to be promoted!"

Should they have automatically been assigned two seats together - they were unaccompanied. Cons: "- The unprofessional way the staff "sorted us out". Especially the lady at check-in. Our flight was from NY to Toronto and then connecting after a nine-hour layover from Toronto to London. On all flights, we got the seats in the middle of the aircraft allocated, which is challenging when you are on crutches. - The second flight to London was in a terribly old machine where the overhead compartments were not well equipped to accommodate my crutches. The only way they fitted was at the very back underneath all the luggage. So when I asked the flight staff to help me get my crutch to go to the toilet, as I could not get it myself, he asked: "do you really have to use it?". I considered that very rude! - The selling of the entertainment systems took forever, which meant that the food sale was very late. Almost 4 hours into the flight on an overnight flight is really late! Especially when people would prefer to sleep. Due to my medication, I had to wait for food, but it took forever. All in all, not the best experience"

This meant our TUI connection in Gatwick to Chambery would have been wasted along with bus transfers. West jet did not offer us AC flights that were available to keep us near to our schedule. We ended up cancelling the Westjet flights and buying AC flights to Heathrow at a cost of $3300 + $300 taxi to gatwick + abandoned bus to Gatwick Westjet did offer us a flight on Sunday ! In the end, we are not sure if booking thru Kayak was part of the problem as Wesjet staff said ..... Oh you booked thru a 3rd party Comments ?"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled then rescheduled on a flight that was over an hour delayed. We almost lost our connection to Hong Kong as a result. Made for a very stressful journey with 77 year old parent and 8 years old child long waiting/ tiring time and running to gate our flight."

The previous flights cost total $678 for two people from FLL to EDI. But you allowed us to be charged $2500 for the same exact route, and we had to spend due to the emergency. The very next day the President of the USA stated it was unethical for price gouging to happen. I request at least 50% refunded back"

The crew said that Pearson airport was on a shut down due to severe thunderstorms. But the weather was nice and sunny when we arrived Toronto; in fact my connecting flight ( Hainan airlines HU 7995 had left 20 min. earlier- on time- for Bejing. The crew in Westjet plane told me that all airlines were delayed in Toronto airport due to bad weather , and so that I would not miss my connecting flight."

Cons: "In flight 1, from São Paulo to Mexico City, my husband and I were separated. It was suggested by the stewardess for him to move to another seat 20 rows away due to his size. Instead of separating two people, why not ask the single person if she would rather have more room. But the steward said only one of us could move, me or my husband. The reason he was moved was that there were two empty seats, so he could sit comfortably; however, no one told the woman sitting in the three seat aisle that he would be sitting there. So she basically took over her seat and the neighbouring one. The crew should have been the one to inform her the reason for his move there. It was a horrible and unnecessary experience. Because of my husband's size, I am needed to help him with his tray and I had his medication."

The on-board agents recognized early the problem and then proceeded to allow many other passengers to stroll by them with their large roll-on bags, only to delay the boarding process and frustrate everyone. When making their safety announcement the flight attendant was clearly competing for fastest speaking human and rushed through at blazing speeds. In all my 30+ years of travel, I’ve never heard anything like it."
