Helpful tips to improve customer service: 1. Prioritize Clear Communication • Use clear, friendly, and professional language in all interactions. 2. Train Staff Thoroughly • Ensure all employees (from check-in to in-flight attendants crew) receive customer service and conflict resolution training. 3. Improve In-Flight Experience • Train cabin crew to be attentive, polite, and responsive to passenger needs. 4. Gather and Act on Feedback • Send post-flight surveys and monitor online reviews. • Use feedback to identify pain points and continuously improve. 5. Empower Employees to Go the Extra Mile • Give staff flexibility to offer small perks (like seat upgrades) to resolve issues or recognize special occasions. 6. Create a Culture of Care • Build a company-wide commitment to customer satisfaction. • Encourage empathy, patience, and active listening.

Liked Porter out of Pearson- New jets, complimentary beer and wine, 2 X 2 seating and pleasant employees. The only reason I chose to return this leg with Air Canada was the earlier arrival back into Pearson so I could drive the final 3 hrs home before midnight.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaMIA-YYZMar 2025
I think Air Canada has the best comfort and systems in place. The flight was on time. The gates were easy to find and one carry on luggage was also free.

Vancouver airport is great, lots of places to fill water bottle and lots of comfy seating if you look around for it. Air Canada is wonderful and agents have always been pleasant and helpful. Due to the loss of my driver's license in the mail, I had only my Ontario Health card for ID and Air Canada agents were wonderful, not making an issue of it at all and also not making me feel awkward. Thank you!
SamFlew with Air CanadaIAD-YYZJan 2025
Do not rush to know the gate. almost anytime I have a trip to Toronto the gate changes and I walk a long distance to the new gate. for me this time around 30 minutes.

I found the Newark airport better than I was expecting. The flight on Air Canada was comfortable. More comfortable than other flights I have been on
ShawnaFlew with Air CanadaYLW-YYZDec 2024
Was my first trip to Toronto, I would choose an aisle seat or window seat, not middle. Middle seat is best for a very small person.

I prefer West Jet over Air Canada. They are generally more helpful, friendly. Though, AC did have a nicer airplane for the 4+ hr flight.

Bring a variety of snacks in case customs and TSA take too long and can’t buy food if you are connecting. Very busy lines.

chose the West just for this service. Much better and more professional employees and the aircraft is much more comfortable.

My favourite agency that I’ve flown in Canada with has been Porter, which is odd considering they are usually the “cheaper” airline. Domestic flights are really good with them though I wouldn’t commend their international flights. Air Canada was way too expensive and wasn’t nearly as comfortable nor did the price include l even the earphones on the flight so I definitely won’t be taking them again.
FrancisFlew with Air CanadaYQB-YYZDec 2024
Air Canada almost always as delays on small flights so you end up missing your connection. Better of using all other airlines, even the one that are considered low cost.

Fly from LGA if possible. New airport is nice and the workers all seem to be much better than JFK. The whole experience was much better than any flight I’ve taken from JFK.

If you do not find enough space for your personal belongs( bags or luggage), you can ask the crew for help. They are kindly and friendly, and they can help you.

Ottawa, as a small airport is easiest to navigate! Overhead baggage compartments seem to be smaller, and on every flight they seem to need travellers to volunteer to put carryons in checked luggage instead.

Don’t expect to ever be on time to your destination. The Montreal-Toronto-Montreal route is AIr Canada’s highest volume route and they are almost never on time. In my experience (20 flight segments in the last 12 months) less than 20% have been on time.
LeeAnnFlew with Air CanadaYLW-YYZSep 2024
I wish I had known that the air canada flight I was taking was so small inside that you can barely fit your carryon bag down the aisle. Also that there are some planes who's seats don't recline.

he strategy of advertising cheaper base ticket prices, but then finding ways to charge additional fees for other items, while also providing lower quality services and less respect to passengers, is likely not a sustainable long-term business strategy.

The flight itself and crew were great but the help at the airport was awful. The staff at customs were arrogant and couldn’t be bothered with assisting me. Another passenger helped me. Perhaps consider another airline. Also, my bag did not get put on the second leg of the flight so I was without my luggage for the entire next day. The airline had said it would come in on the last flight of the night and would be delivered early the next morning. It did not. I finally got my luggage after returning from my day of sightseeing, around 10 pm. A Canadian tour guide told me that Air Canada is notorious for losing luggage.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYUL-YYZAug 2024
Dont layover during midnight at Montreal airport as they close it and they get you out of the waiting area in the gate after 1:30am and also the connecting flights gets you out and then you have to depart from beginning
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYUL-YYZJun 2024

When delayed happened I would suggest for the crew to let passengers board in and just wait for the one crew missing to arrive and joined the crew as soon as crew member arrives other than passengers waiting this helps time consuming . And passenger not rushing for connecting flight.

Put your coats and other stuff in your checked baggage if you have as Air Canada has a notorious issue with not enough space for carry-on’s in their smaller planes.

Singapore Airlines is the best. Highly professional staff. Learn from them. Also I was surprised the checkin staff took my carry on luggage and checked it in. On other flights, I would be able to carry on as a cabin bag. Your staff said it was too big but I was able to use the same bag on all other flights as a cabin bag.

Boarding is ok with Air Canada, though their staff needs training to be efficient without being passive aggressive. They also repeat their announcements too often, over and over again. Not pleasant. You can be very efficient with a bit of class. Getting the Travelers nervous doesn't help anyone. MIA is a great airport for departures as the terminal entrance has specific doors for each Gate Sector. Example: if your Gate is G4, There's a drop off door for G. Less walking, less seeking, excellent system for Drop Off of passengers

I love the 2 seats per row. More room. The crew were excellent.

It was amazing although they did bump us up to the front which gave us more leg room and a meal. The service was great! The staff were friendly. :)

Overall very good... staff were friendly and helpful. boarding was good for the most part, but a little hard to get our carry-on bags on there.... I think people should be directed to keep their coats and small bags with them until all the carry-ons are loaded, and then, if there is space, they can put their small bags and coats up top.. makes it much easier to put baggage up. i loved the internet feature, but the entertainment was not there unless you have your own Netflix or similar platform. My chair did not recline, which was very annoying, and the arms won't go up near the isle, which makes it tough to get in and out of the seat.

Staff were excellant. Only snacks served. Some turbulence so we were offered Free beer or wine.

The staff is always great. Just the fact that our flight was the only one delayed from Halifax when all other carries were still flying. It happen a year ago out of Toronto as well. All others were flying but our flight got cancelled 1 hr before the time of departure.

The only issue had when i mentioned about comfort was the man beside me was on the larger side and took about 1/3 of my seat where i was pressed against the wall/window of the plane for the trip.

The check-in staff, boarding staff, and flight crew were all very friendly. Really miss the Porter lounge in Ottawa.

Thanks for giving a beer to everyone in the seat infront of me and then telling me that I can’t have one because they are going to land. I guess I need to pay for a seat and then pick one in the very front of the plane

The flight was delayed by more than one hour. The terminal was consequently overcrowded and hot. We lost our car reservation and hit rush hour traffic in Boston, which added two hours stuck in traffic to our trip.

Awesome, the whole way through. Thank you, this is the new Canadian Airline benchmark.

Over the wing seat at emergency exit only downside people using lavatory have no respect and wait in the space

Flight delayed any hour and couple of big gate changes

The pilot came out and chatted with the passengers. He explained why there was a slight delay. The crew was excellent. Very helpful. I had to buy meals for my whole family and they were in different seats, so the crew had to deal with that. They were very pleasant and accommodating and did a great job!

We were unable to land in Liberia. It was not the airline’s fault, but we had to be diverted to SJO.

We had things stolen from our luggage, we also were refused an upgrade on a flight that was not full.

When we left, it wasn't Great . People were drinking heavily, very disrespectful Extremely loud, the entire trip. I think the crew members, should have get their attention. Coming back was great.

I sat in the club. The seeds were fantastic. The meal was great and Entertainment was good. The crew was fantastic. I recommend it to everybody.

The food was small portions and not fresh. I was seated at the back of the plane so by the time the cart approached me most of the food options were sold out. The cabin crew was fantastic however.

Great flight and crew. Food isn't free and neither are headphones...

We were in economy class but paid for option Plus which offer you an extra snack after take off, free earplugs & blanket. The crew were very attentive. The comfort however wasn’t great, hard to be comfortable in such restraint place. Wasn’t able to sleep through out the 7hrs flight and was exhausted upon arrival.

My husband required a wheelchair to get to the airplane and the service he received was exemplary. Thank you.

WestJet was able to re-book us to the next available flight at no charge when air traffic controller staffing shortage delayed our inbound flight

Plane changed to one with no entertainment system or ability to serve hot meals

Our flight was delayed for almost 2 hours resulting in a rush to connect to our next flight

I am a tall woman and could not move my legs enough to reach down under the seat in front of me to retrieve anything I put down there. I sat in both aisle and window seats and felt extremely cramped. In the aisle seat, if the stewardess was heavy, it was impossible to pass, and she would knock my arm shoulder and thigh every time she went by. If I can avoid it, I will not be flying this airline again.

We never had an experience they canceled the flight and they did not offer us an alternative flight. I had to book one on my own expense. They offered us food voucher and we could not use them at the airport it kept saying not attached to an existing flight. The people at the counter were rude and cold and they did not care about our situation

Flight was delayed 3 times. Then cancelled due to pilot being timed out. They refused hotel vouchers. Gate attendants were very rude and could not help you at all.

No access to any entertainment No food other than a cookie or pretzels even tho flight was over the supper hour Seats very close together and very little leg room Staff was very good

The cancelation of my flight from Toronto to Edmonton without any solution given to me for my next flight. Very poor connection from Toronto to Edmonton

Too squished in seats. I'm 110 lbs and 5'6....can't imagine being any bigger and flying

There is not enough room for people over 6 feet in the seats for a flight that long. Crew only came by when it was meal/snake time, in the 11 plus hour flight we did not see anyone walk around, on our flight to Japan we did not know where the call button was to ask for water, on the flight back we finally pushed enough buttons to find the call button

I hope these comments will find their way to AC customer experience team. Me and my spouse 50 years of aged coming back from 7 days perfect vacation... While boarding in FLL flight AC1621, one of the boarding agents (tall aged african american) man literelly yeld at my wife during the picture talking process. MAM ! STEP !! BACK !!! We are not illegal immegrants beying deported, nor are we in the millitary. We are customers returning home. This was unacceptable. While boarding in YYZ flight AC1154, one of the boarding agents (tall aged caucasian) man criticied with several complesant remarks my passport condition saying that I could not travel intl with it due to stain, decoloration, and BLOOD. My passport does not have blood on it! Yes it might be in less than perfect condition, but their are ways to talk to customer that does not imply not allow a boarding agent to be angry fathery like, or a custom agent looking at a suspicious individual. Both experience were less than acceptable for might I remind you a paying CUSTOMER returning home.

Lynda was rude and unhelpful. We asked for tea wiht a slice of lemon. She served us Coffee instead. When we spoke to her she made it seem as if we were lying. I asked if she would like to taste it and see - her reply was I don’t need to be rude. After this incident we were treated with subpar service for all beverages and food items after. We’re were purposely left out when they did garbage collection.

They lost my checked in luggage, why do I pay for my cargo not arriving at the same destination as me?

This flight didn't happen for me because of overbooking.

Terrible experience, flight was delayed both ways. Limited compensation for the 5+ hour delay. Will not be flying Air Canada Rouge, and don’t recommend you do either.

The boarding was relatively quick, the crew welcoming and flight uneventful. The omission of meals on all airlines is unacceptable especially when the flight is during a mealtime such as this one, (lunchtime), is unacceptable.

Everything was simple and easy. The lady at the gate was super friendly, I wish I had her name to share. She's a little older, dark-haired. You can tell she likes her job and would be a great influence on any young people training with her.

During the pre-departure safety briefing, the flight attendants rushed through the mandatory safety announcements in both official languages, making it difficult for passengers to clearly understand the instructions. Given the importance of these messages for passenger safety, this lack of clarity was concerning. Perhaps use a recoded message to alleviate this concern. Additionally, the flight attendants appeared to lack the professional attentiveness typically expected during a flight. Rather than focusing on timely and courteous service, they seemed more engaged in personal conversations than in addressing the needs of passengers. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps in maintaining the high standards of professionalism and care that travelers expect from a national carrier: AC.

No Charging ports for personal electronics, which were required to use wifi entertainment.

Leg room was terrible and seats very narrow. Flight was also delayed.

The worst airline experience that I ever had in my life. The fare was cheap but boy do you pay for it when it comes to baggages, carry-ons, food on board and lack of available staff at check-in. Almost every other passenger on my flight had the same complaints and experience. We all bonded discussing our displeasure. My husband and I will definitely not be traveling with Flair Airlines. We'll take anyone else.

The most uncomfortable plane I ever fly on. The seats won't even recline a little. For a 5 hrs flight at night and tired it felt like torture

Seats in 1 res are dispersed all over the plane, even child was across

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.

The crew of this flight, specially the flight attendant in the front were the sweetest I’ve had in all my life, I genuinely hope they get a race or sum cuz of their efforts. It was just quite unsettling that the flight took so long to departure. It was supposed to leave at 10:35pm and we ended up taking off at 11:22pm…👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

It’s bare bones but was on time so can’t complain.

Of all the countries I've flown to and airlines from around the world, I have never had such a dismissive an arrogant employee during boarding. After waiting in line for 20 minutes to board, I was sent to a second line for Passport verification. Natalie from Flair, repeatedly tried to scan my passport which didn't work for some reason but was too lazy to input my information manually. Bar code scanners aren't 100% reliable as we all know. She asked me my birthdate 3 times, made me wait to be the last person aboard and then smugly threatened me that my only bag could be charged for (same backpack I used as on my arrival as carry on). Natalie working in Ft. Lauderdale and the was the epitome of lobotomized tiktok brain with the charm of junk mail.
