Pros: "Food was good! Crew spoke great English."
Cons: "6 hour plane ride with no TVs/entertainment options were unclear, and no meal from PEK-HKT. Outdated entertainment system on 11hr flight from YVR-PEK. Beijing airport was an absolute maze, we got sent in 8 different directions from the moment we got off our plane!"

Pros: "crew was competent the flight left and arrived on time"

Cons: "Our first segment was delayed and when we landed, no priority was given to get off the plane and run for next flight. We barely made it. Got to Dubai for a wedding and our luggage didn’t make it. There were five of us flying together. No one got their bags. We landed at 1030 pm and went to out first event that night in the same track suit I flew in. Awful airline. Never again."
Pros: "The flight attendant crew is pretty good. They don’t speak great English and when they are working they are short and not so courteous, however after they have served and a bit more relaxed they are pleasant."
Cons: "Ticketing staff are horrendous to be polite. There is no such thing as customer service. Checked in online and had seat confirmation and when I was at the booth my connection flight had me sitting somewhere completely different. I showed the email confirmation to the ticketing agent and she said that’s not a confirmation and would have nothing to do with it. I quickly realized i was going to get no where so left it."
Cons: "Food was not tasty"
Cons: "FLIGHT DELAY FROM USA TO BEIJING AND BEIJING TO HCM."

Pros: "The boarding was smooth."
Cons: "I only have one hour connecting time in Beijing and this lag of flight was delayed by 40 minutes. I only have 20 minutes to go through international transfer and another security check point. By the time I came out from security check point, my plane is already at Final call. The gate is a distant away from the security check point area. I ran so hard to get into the plane the very last minutes."

Cons: "Everything els was disapointing"
Pros: "The staff was very pleasant."

Cons: "Again the food was terrible. And this was an international flight and there wasn’t even a tv for watching movies! So all you could do was sit crammed in your seat for hours!!"

Cons: "Awful seat mates. Dumb bros who couldn’t stop calling everything “fire”. Couldn’t be helped tho."
Pros: "Plane clean crew very nice food good"

Cons: "Well, the aircraft doesn’t have TV at the back of each seat."
Pros: "I like it most that we don’t need to get the luggage out in Beijing or get the boarding pass again in Beijing. It’s very convenient."
Cons: "There was a delay of the connection flight and for half an hour, we were told flight time is TBD. I’d expect at least an estimate of the new boarding time."
Pros: "short flight and nice attendants"
Cons: "would like more leg room"
Pros: "Cabin crew always helpful."
Cons: "I'm not fussy with food, but what I chose was not served."
Pros: "Very courteous staff at the check-in and very polite and hospitable flight attendants, very efficient and quick in serving."
Pros: "My TV was not working. I was asking to change to last sit, The flight attendant told me, that sit is for them. However later after, I saw a couple was sitting over there. The couple were not working stuff."
Cons: "Food was bland."
Pros: "Literally nothing. I guess the crew was nice. Sufficient at least and not unpleasant."
Cons: "Where to start. First off, I have flown budget air carriers with more leg room than this pacific international flight. I do admit I am a taller than average guy, but if you are over 6' tall you will have NO legroom. And I mean none. It is an insulting amount of legroom. My 5'6" wife barely had any room, never mind myself. On my flight back, I requested an emergency exit row seat (as I noticed on the flight over the emergency exit row was filled with old people and young couples with babies/ young children). And was informed it would cost $120 USD per flight per person. My jaw almost hit the floor. You mean to tell me that the emergency exit row - the row where in the case of an emergency you are supposed to physically be able to assist passengers - actually COSTS money to sit in? That is an absolute disgrace. You have to pay for the added responsibility to help in the case of an emergency? Of course, once I was on the flight the emergency exit row was filled with old people and babies. All of course perfectly capable of helping in the case of an emergency. I was, and still am furious. The gall to charge that much money and then give the responsibility to people unable to help? Meanwhile, an able-bodied couple in the 20s is denied and I am cramped in my less-than-acceptable-for-budget-airlines legroom. And the food. Putrid. Inedible. It was somehow overwhelmingly fragrant while far too bland. Its hard to imagine someone putting together that meal and feeling proud. The meals all screamed "I do not care about my customers." In fact, that is the overwhelming feeling I got from Air China. An airline that truly could not careless about their customers. I would not reccommend. Even if they are the cheapest by a far margin. Stay away. Do not go near. Air China is a terrible airline that should be avoided at all costs."
Pros: "The flight was crazy cheap. The boarding was fast a simple enough, and the food was pretty good for airplane food. Overall I would probably pay this price to fly this airline again, but if I had to pay even 30 or 40 dollars more I would not."
Cons: "The Crew was crazy bad. They had plenty good enough English they just didn't give a rip if we needed something. My son spilled his yogurt on his lap so I asked for paper to get it cleaned up. The lady just huffed and walked away, I thought to get napkins, but nope, she never came back. This was one of several things that were just lazy or rude on the flight. Also, While I get that this is Air China, so most of the entertainment would be Chinese, the last time I flew Korean Air, and China Southern on international flights they had a pretty good international entertainment selection. Not so on Air China! there were about 4 English choices, and nothing else. Again, I would fly this again at this price (600 for round trip from CGO to DEN) but for even 30-40 dollars more, I would find something else."
Cons: "Bad service"
Cons: "They lost my reservation"
Pros: "3-3-3 formation of seats with decent legroom. FAs tried to be helpful but if you only speak English language maybe a barrier."
Cons: "The flight wasn't even there at boarding time both ways, no announcement of delay or new boarding time. When we approached the desk, they said there us no delay, when we asked about why the flight isn't there yet, they said 'may be a little bit'. Then we sat in the plane and we queued up for take off but were in the tarmac for about 2 hours. Very little information came out on the PA or from the FAs."
Cons: "All members we encountered were not overly warm or nice, especially given that our flight was delayed which caused our next flight to be missed. They did find another flight for us the same day, but at the airport we were quarantined (so to speak) and could not leave to get food or drinks until the decision was made that we could officially get on the proposed flight. The vending machine offered did not take credit card and we could not leave to exchange currency. On flight, the crew was the same, when I was in the bathroom there was a large bang on the door..I assume to let me know to get out as we would be landing soon...which we didn't land for another 30 minutes. Food was gross, same as above with drinks. I could go on and on..needless to say I won't be flying Air China again."
Pros: "Very relaxed service. You can get something to eat or drink whenever you want. Made a long trip enjoyable.."
Cons: "Was hoping for the crew from the flight from LA to Manila. They were the best. Helped make the flight seem shorter."
Pros: "staff was very friendly and helpful. I must say I was scared after reading some reviews but it was great and pleasant. I flew coach and would def do it again because of how smoothly it went. If I did put a negative comment it would be about the food, my friend liked her food but I am a picky eater so not so much for me. BUT it's air plane food so I wasn't expecting much."
Cons: "They seem to serve the same food on every flight, which gets monotonous."
Pros: "Smooth flight, good crew. Food was ok. Movie selection not great in English but what do you expect on China airline."
Pros: "comfy seats"
Pros: "Boarding was relatively quick and efficient. They seem to have no problem getting people on the plane."
Cons: "Both of my flights were delayed after boarding and before taking off. There was never any explanation why. The staff was not very helpful when asked for anything other than water. The seats were the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced on over 40 airlines. Further, the Chinese policy of not allowing cell phone use in flight (even in airplane mode) made the experience all the more terrible."
