Cathay has always been great. Even allowed some leniency on my baggage weight. I believe they are also on the more leg room side of airlines.
Missed our flight with Cathay due to late Westjet plane and chaotic Toronto airport. Had to clear customs get bags and re check bags in an hour. Did not make it got lost not clear signage with bag drop off. West jet only allowed 1 checked bag for this international fluid. Cathay checked my second bag for free.
Boarding on any airline is a hot mess. Load your pivilaged passengers, then back to front. Back to front.
The flight experience was good for a long flight over the pole, but it got my wife to the Far East in time.
Problems with entertainment system eventually rectified. Cabin crew attentive and polite but a bit absent minded when it came to remembering requests, salt, sugar etc.
We flew economy light. We did not want to check bags and we had free 1 bag, but just had back packs with small personal item. Try as we may could only get bags down to 17lbs each. So we put 2 lbs from one bag into other and checked it. I think if someone has a checked bag allowance and chose not to use it , it would benefit both parties to bump carry on weight up to the next level of 22lbs or 10kgs. Just a thought.
Trip was fine. My only complaint was that when the passenger in front of me reclined her seat (which was, in essence, the whole flight except landing and take-off,) it was uncomfortably claustrophobic for me and very difficult for my husband to get in and out of his window seat. Also uncomfortable to watch the entertainment because the screen was right in your face.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was great. Lots of movies and tv shows to choose from. Highly recommend.

The crew were fine. I didn’t enjoy the food at all. I found it unappetising and really had trouble eating it. The comfort level was fine and our return flight is with Cathay Pacific but honestly I probably wouldn’t fly Cathay Pacific again.

Very tight leg room and not a fan of the new policy on no free carry on luggage. Besides that, it was fine.
Flight delay, cancellation rescheduling and misdirected luggage which created some stress. It all worked out in the end.
The flight was delayed several times, however , they kept me well informed with enough advance warning that I had not left home yet
Sat on the tarmac with no ventilation for almost an hour, without a single word from the crew. Appalling. When Air Canada goes bankrupt, again, almost everyone in Canada will be cheering.
If you have checked the status of my booking you would have seen that it was cancelled. And the travelers insurance we purchased only covered $100 per ticket. So my overall experience with kayak and air canada is poor
The plane for my second flight was reassigned. We had to wait for them to get a different plane out of the hangar and call in a crew
