I upgraded my flight to business and before boarding they told me they will not have food on the flight unless someone declines the food service.
Cathay has always been great. Even allowed some leniency on my baggage weight. I believe they are also on the more leg room side of airlines.
I spent 45 minutes with supervisor trying to get 2 bags checked for this international flight . He wouldn’t give it to me because West Jet was involved in this booking.
Missed our flight with Cathay due to late Westjet plane and chaotic Toronto airport. Had to clear customs get bags and re check bags in an hour. Did not make it got lost not clear signage with bag drop off. West jet only allowed 1 checked bag for this international fluid. Cathay checked my second bag for free.
Seat was very old. Didn’t easily go up and down. Flight Attendent had issues moving the seat. Condition of the seat was ok. Parts were peeling off by the foot area. Food was ok. Ran out of the dish I wanted so got the beef. Beef filet was very tender but the sauce was a little strange. Disembarking was very easy.
Boarding on any airline is a hot mess. Load your pivilaged passengers, then back to front. Back to front.
I didn’t use entertainment But everything else was of excellent quality
Multiple late or canceled flights. Lounge was 100 degrees. Food was terrible. The plane was incredibly old, and best of all, a screaming child for 3 hours. All for the low low price of $2,600 one way Hanoi to Shanghai. No idea how Cathay is ranked so high. Cathay is not much better than American Airlines or Spirit. In the future I will go out of my way to not fly Cathay.
Flights home are always happy, except this time I was traveling to be with my ailing father.
The flight experience was good for a long flight over the pole, but it got my wife to the Far East in time.
Flight got delayed But satisfied with the pricing of tickets
Aircraft is designed with all 3 washrooms at the back of the plane, meaning that when there is service underway, there are no washrooms available and it gets very crowded at the back of the plane.
I was through check-in right away and on the plane before I knew it perfect in every way

Excellent flight crew. Very comfortable plane. Entertainment options on air Canada were great!
One crew member, Brandy was very helpful with recovering phone lost in customs. The plane was ancient and poorly maintained. Checked baggage did not arrive with flight. Almost missed flight because if insanely short layover time. Air Canada is worst flight I have ever booked with Kayak. Wanted to charge for headsets for on flight media.
this flight was exceptional due to the plane itself being updated with longer seat belts so no need for the extender and access to a tv.
Flight was oversold. Seats assigned to multiple passengers. Delay 1 hour to sort out.
Good but I don’t received my bags yet is been 5days still no update
