I rent from the Ace counter at TPA fairly often, and they have it down to a science. The price is amazing, i am in and out fairly quickly, and the cars are clean and in good condition. I had accidentally made two different reservations for the same dates, and when I realized they had processed the more expensive one, the desk agent helped me switch to the better priced one. I paid for and booked for Hyundai Tuscon or similar but I got Mitsubishi Outlander. Car was ok but no CarPlay or no Navigation system. It’s very hard to drive without navigation in unknown place.Reviewed 24 Feb 2026

Initially I was given a Nissan Frontier as my rental, not exactly what I was looking for but it’ll get me here and there. Drove from the airport to the hotel, when my wife noticed the airbag light was blinking on and off. Also, when trying to exit the vehicle, the seatbelt release wouldn’t disengage the seatbelt, after several attempts to take the seatbelt off, it released. This was a safety hazard because in the event of an accident, I would be trapped. So we immediately called ACE and returned the truck. Josh was able to get us into a Dodge Charger at no extra cost. Thanks for handling this issue with great customer service and helping us get to our vacation quickly.Reviewed 2 Jun 2024
