Newark International Airport is no sparkling new facility. The rental car locations require using the airport train system, and signage to find it isn't all that visible. The Hertz location there pretty much matches the whole airport itself, but considering we booked last-minute, arrived late, and very late at night, the counter agent was pleasant and helpful, making our experience as good as it could be. 👍Reviewed 5 Apr. 2023

I am not at all satisfied with the rental experience on your site! I found the experience unprofessional. First of all, the car was very small, not even two carry-on bags in the trunk. It said on the website that the car could be that choice or an equivalent model, but ours was clearly an inferior model. Why is it not possible to choose the model? It is important because there is a risk of theft if you leave the car parked with the suitcases in the back seat. Secondly, at the time of pick up I found myself still having to pay a lot of money for: - insurance (which I had already paid with Allianz suggested by your site. At the time of pick up they told me that it was not enough and they recommended another one) - add a second driver (it was not specified on the site that only one person could drive). I had decided to rent a car because it was a cheaper option, but If I had known I would have travelled by plane. I would have preferred to have the final price when I booked on your site!!!!Reviewed 26 Jul. 2022
