Pros:
The pick up location at loews hotel hollywood was closed. No one informed us about that. We wasted a lot of time wondering what was going on. Then we went to 1333 N highland ave for nearest avis. The lady working there was extremely rude. Had 0 idea about customer service. She made it seem like she was giving us the car for free. I booked an SUV and they didn’t even have an suv. I appreciate they had a car for me, but it was Avis’s fault in the first place to close down a location and not inform people2.0 Poor

Cons:
Pick up was a disaster. When I went to pick up the car at my scheduled time, I found the entire pick up location was closed down. I had just booked the car two days before, and should have been notified that this location was closed. The Call Center was completely unhelpful, and I was disconnected three times, leaving me to explain the situation to three different representatives. I was put on hold for ten minutes to talk to a supervisor, who had no authority to do anything. I had to take a taxi to a different location who wanted to charge me three times the original price to rent the car. Bad experience!2.0 Poor

The staff where I picked up the car was very nice but VERY inefficient and overwhelmed.Cons:
I got a too big, dirty car with only half a tank of gas after waiting almost an hour for my car. I had to go back and change cars the next day which was very inconvenient. I did request an airport drop-off from Hertz which was granted because I could not face dealing with the original office again. The cars are parked very far away. The whole thing was pretty awful.Budget

We ended up never picking up our rental. We spoke to several people trying to receive a shuttle to the rental location, because the reservation email we had specifically said they were available as long as we called to ask for one. We were told that was impossible, the best they could do was extend our reservation window out an hour and wait for us. Not wanting to pay $50 for a cab we just made a new reservation with a different company, who came and got us in two minutes and had our fresh clean car to us ten minutes after that. We never picked up our rental.2.0 Poor

I would like to report budget for not letting me rent a car that I booked couple days in advance. I was planning a business trip to San Jose from Los Angeles. I booked a car for 1 pm, came at 12:58 pm and the guy just locked the door in front of me. I told him I had a reservation to which he friendly waved his hand and I didn’t see anymore. This tremendously impacted by whole trip. Everything was planned by hour and because of kayak and budget my entire day went off schedule which in its turn had a negative consequence of other people’s scheduled events. I had to find an immediate substitute for the rental. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with renting a car and on kayak. This is NOT. Never renting from budget again. Kayak, I’m waiting for a compensation for this mistake.Priceless
