Unfortunately their computers were down so they handed me off to any other company available which meant that i ended up having to spend way more on a rental because at that point the prices were higher than my reservation as it was late at night and i had a special type of car needed. there was no manual plan to help me rent with them in case of such computer failure - it was just throwing their hands up in the air and saying ‘oh, well. sorry!’ it was a miserable evening of trying to find a car that wasn’t 4x as expensive. i spent over an hour and a half in the terminal trying to find the least expensive alternative. i will not be renting with them again. :(.Reviewed 10 Feb. 2023

WE had a fully paid rental. Due to delays, we did not arrive until after the rental desk had closed. They charged us an additional $529.08 for our rental. They said it was because we did not pick up the car on the designated day, and the price KAYAK charged us was no longer valid. The manager came out and said he would fix it and refund me the $529.08. That amount has not been credited on my card. I called both Payless (corporate because the ABQ desk does not have a phone number) AND KAYAK to let them know our flight had been delayed to the point the desk would be closed. Neither could help us in advance. Kayak said to call when we arrived in ABQ and cancel the car rental with Kayak. I won't rent from anyone except the car rental agencies after this disaster. Arriving at the rental counter in Albuquerque, we learned that PayLess was part of Budget. Worse, the line was well over an hour. So we walked over to Hertz because they had no line and rented a better car for less than PayLess. Lesson learned.Reviewed 5 Jun. 2022

Everything. No one to man the counter... after waiting for 1 hour and calling a disconnected phone number... an avis rep decided to help. After being charged more than the price agreed on Payless site....they directed to to the wrong vehicle. It took another 20 mins to find my truck and then it was low on air.
