Our rental experience couldn't have been any easier or better. The shuttle driver (from baggage claim to the rental office) was outgoing and friendly. When we arrived at the rental office, the line was short, our rental agent was also friendly and very helpful, and we were offered a better car than we had reserved for no extra charge. Very poor experience. First, there was a very long line with a 45 minute wait. Friendly staff, but car I ordered was not available. OK, the alternative was a minivan or convertible. I chose the convertible but it was dirty inside (literally with a footprint on the seats). Some time later they replaced it with an Impala. It was the most beat up rental I have ever seen with 45k miles. It was also dirty inside. At this point I could live with that, but on the highway it made a loud noise at highways speeds indicating a serious mechanical issue. I had to return it and was given a new Kia sedan which finally was OK, but after 2 hours of aggravation.Reviewed 31 Aug. 2022

It would made a lot of difference if they would only answer their phone calls. I tried multiple times to talk to someone regarding my rental. I was not able to make my flight and pick up my rental due to me being sick. All I wanted was to see if I could transfer the rental agreement paid in advance that I will add, so as to keep the rental. I think it’s highly unlikely I will use kayak or Payless car Rental ever again. Tell me something….. is it fair that you pay money up front to receive service and get none due to an illness??? I’m even willing to atleast get a rental voucher for future use. Not even that!!! Come on!!!! Really!!! Take my money and too bad so sad I couldn’t get my money’s worth. Pathetic! Payless employee who handled our rental had his mask under his nose or down on his chin most of the time he was waiting on us. There was no attempt to enforce even a tiny bit of social distancing in the line where we stood for about 40 minutes. I had to fend off the person behind me who thought leaving a foot between us was too much. Your shuttle drivers were extremely courteous and helpful.Reviewed 12 Aug. 2021
