We forgot something valuable in the car and we’re given the runaround to get it back. We were told they didn’t find it and were even questioned that we may have left it elsewhere - by the manager of all people - only suddenly item appeared when we demanded to see video footage. A) i needed it in LAX B) car had been previously wrecked and repaired wrong so the dashboard would indicate many errors at night time (regarding several safety sensors) It only happened at night. Not visible damages As a result ouldnt drive it at nightReviewed 21 May 2022

On pickup, nearly every car was gone and there was only a single person working the booth for Thrifty and Dollar. He was doing a great job but it was taking about 10 mins per person, so took about an hour waiting in line. On the plus side, when I dropped off the car I accidentally left something in the passenger seat. The person manning the dropoff went back multiple times and searched thoroughly and found everything I had left. He was careful, thoughtful and great!Reviewed 25 Aug. 2021

Cons:My main complaint is with the billing process. It was written in my confirmation that "Thrify charged the total cost of this reservation ($85.25) to your credit card today." However, when I picked up the car I was charged an additional $21.17 in miscellaneous services charges and taxes. I have rented cars and purchased flights through Kayak for many years and have never before experienced this "bait and switch" technique. I don't know if this scam was the fault of Kayak, Thrifty or CarRentals.com but suffice to say, I won't be using any of these companies again. If I can't trust you to quote me a fair price, then we can't do business with each other.Reviewed 18 Apr. 2021

Pros:Very easy quick pickup with very minimal discussion of insurance and not much paperwork.Cons:Car seemed to be having a minor mechanical problem- it shuddered a bit. Had 33,000 miles on it. It didn't cause any problems for me though.Reviewed 31 Oct. 2017

Cons:My rental was not available and the lady that is inside that small booth said that even if you made a reservation it didn't assure you the vehicle to be available!!!!!! I mean seriously????
