Pros: "Before taking this flight, I was very nervous because of all the bad reviews on here and other sites. The only good reviews seemed to be by people from Alberta (not really trustworthy, as they seem to support anything that's from Alberta, and note that Westjet is based in Alberta...). But I was blown away by how organized Westjet was and how nice they were. All the flights were on time (I had a few layovers), the staff was helpful....I really have no complaints. Sure, they don't have a plethora of great in-flight entertainment such as movies, etc. But when I fly, I'd rather pay less, have the staff be nice/organized, and just bring a darn book to entertain me. It was a great first flight with this company. I would fly with them again....and I can't remember the last time I said that about any other airline. So do yourself a favor: Don't listen to the bad reviews on here (unless you're obsessed with in-flight entertainment and big-butt first class seats)."

Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Second, the attendant at the gate took my carry-on down because she thought it was too big. I have this bag for years and I travel with it everywhere with me. Then, I could not find my carry-on in Lima and hell started. I asked one guy that had an orange apron and was helping with the bags. I told him that I did not see my carry on. He sent me to American lost baggage upstairs. I had to wait 40 minutes for the office to open. Then the woman working there was very unprofessional and rude and told me that I should have made a claim at the counter in the baggage claim area. Well, there are no signs that indicate that there is a counter where to claim your lost bags, you have to just be clarivident and know according to LATAN personnel. They found my bag and call us around 3:45PM, when they close at 5PM. Well getting to the airport before 5pm was a Mission Impossible action movie. Try getting to the airport in Lima during rush hour...finally, I got there on time to get my bag, had another encounter with another personnel that, again, attempted to blame it on me instead of doing her job efficiently and with a smile on her face...What is wrong with airlines personnel???"

Then they announced regular boarding. I had to remove my bags from my lap and get up out of the chair and go to the gate to say I needed to preboard. The man looked annoyd and said they had announced it. When I explained how no one came to me but they did the others he said I could go now. I said I needed help with my bags and he acted VERY surly and put out. He did help me but I felt like they assumed because I was young I couldn't possibly be sick and treated me like a liar."

They refused to check my luggage because they said I had arrived too early. I wasn't too early for my originally scheduled flight! I now had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. I had to call home, arrange a sitter for my children whom I was suppose to see at 8:55 pm. They said there was nothing they could do about it."

An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight to PHX the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."
