Gave us a “discount” with a nearby hotel that was more expensive than what you could book it for online. Had to wait several hours for them to get us back the carry-on luggage that they insisted we check in the first place."

So, didn't miss my flight, AND had a seat upgrade."

When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

Cons: "1. I previously asked for wheelchair assistance for my father and when we dropped off our bags the agent said she would get someone and told us to sit in the waiting area. After five minutes no one came so I went to the assistance desk and they said they hadn't been informed so they sent someone right away. If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. I used to fly westjet in the early days when I still lived in Canada and I've noticed that the level of service has gone down. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity and space to comment. Cons: "I'm stuck in this huge airport because the connection time between Mexico City and my next flight to Leon was vastly underestimated. In Vancouver I was assured that one and a half hours would be sufficient but when I saw the line through immigration I realized what a joke that was. That process alone took well over two hours, followed by another hour to pick up my bag, find the correct spot to drop it off again and then re-enter the boarding area. Meanwhile, the shuttle I arranged to pick me up in Leon have one and gone. So, here I sit, exhausted, frustrated and weary, waiting for the next flight, and not knowing how I will get to my destination in the dark hours of the night. I could do with back rub and a shoulder to cry on."

Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Cons: "AA didnt give a boarding pass because of an error in their computer. When it was finally resolved the flight was gone and all they could say was sorry and said they would refund the money. They would not accomodate us or try to get us on another flight until they day of the returning flight. Unfortunately because of this my father missed seeing his friends and family who he has not seen in over 40 years for a reunion. We never received notification that anything was wrong with the flight and we were given the run around for 2 hours until they realized it was their fault and we missed the flight. Then they just offered a refund. In my opinion they were overbooked and did this on purpose, because it could have been resolved in minutes. I am disappointed with all parties involved including Kayak because of not notifying us of a problem. Thanks for ruining possibly the last time my father would be able to see his family and friends."

When I walked to the other terminal I was already too late. Paid $300 extra for rebooking. No one picked up the phone when I called service either. Never trusting this company again. Worst experience had."
