My recent Air France flight from Paris to Toronto was a genuinely pleasant long‑haul experience, marked by strong service and thoughtful touches throughout the journey. The boarding process was orderly and efficient, with only a short wait before passengers were invited to step onboard. Everything moved with calm coordination, setting a positive tone right from the start. Once in the air, the inflight crew truly shined. They were warm, friendly, and consistently attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Their professionalism and upbeat energy made the cabin feel welcoming and well cared for. The meals and overall service were very good—well‑timed, nicely presented, and satisfying. Air France’s reputation for quality inflight dining held up, and the crew ensured that drinks, snacks, and small requests were handled promptly. I traveled in a business‑class pod, which offered excellent privacy and comfort. The seat itself was spacious and well‑designed, ideal for both resting and working. The only minor drawback was that the pod felt a bit warm when fully closed, but it wasn’t enough to detract from the overall comfort. Overall, this Air France flight delivered a smooth, friendly, and enjoyable experience from gate to landing. The combination of efficient boarding, exceptional crew service, quality meals, and a comfortable seat made the long journey feel easy and well supported.

Not consistent with the food quality (I mean taste not freshness)

3 hour delay but out of their control. App said I get vouchers but when I applied for them, they were nowhere to be found in my account

Much better than the major US Carriers especially in Biz Class.

The male attended that served are section was a snob. He did not answer my call light when my wine spilled all over the floor. I did not push it again or drew his attention to it. He just ignored the call light when he came to give us our meal, serving the people behind us first. I did not push it again or drew his attention to it to see his reaction. It was so obvious that he was ignoring us. We were in premium economy!

There was 2 hours delay before boarding and 2 hours delay after boarding while waiting in the plane

Extremely poor. First - and oddly enough, Air France denied access to the Business Class lounge at CDG to all of us - although we were all flying Business Class. It is amazing that an airline denies lounge access to its passengers flying on business and paying several thousand dollars each ticket. Second, the food on Business Class on absolutely horrible. Air France must have made an effort to prepare bad tasting dishes (not even the ice cream was good). Third, the cabin temperature was too hot and although we complained many times, it never got cooler.

Did not find the wheelchair that supposed to assist and went to a long queue for transit security chk which was very slow and boarding desk wanted to close counter although that they knew that I am minutes away because of their mistake of not providing the wheelchair.

My seat was so uncomfortable, and the headrest was broken. Very very disappointing for the price I paid.

The hard product, food, and service are far superior to their North American counterparts

Air India Express operates as a separate airline, so it says. Air India Express is a subsidiary of Air India and is part of the Tata Group, which acquired a 100% stake in the airline. Yet Air India express is not a member of Star Alliance, so Star Alliance gold members do not receive the benefits they would had they traveled on a mainline Air India flight. Even though it's a subsidiary of Air India, which is a Star Alliance airline. Very frustrating.

I don't think there were entertainment options (short flight) - which is why I gave the 'ok' sign. Didn't make a diff in my flight experience either way, however

The planes did not have charging jacks for phones or lap tops and there are no monitors for movies. On the flight from Delhi to Hyderabad I was the last person in First asked for a meal choice and only one meal was available so I had no choice.

The web check in doesn’t work. Had to wait 10 minutes on the counter for them to figure out boarding. I understand AI Express doesn’t have a practice to offer food to everyone in the business class. The flight attendant asks for name (not sure why she doesn’t know it especially with only 8 passengers in the business class) to figure out whether or not they should serve food. KAYAK should sell AI Express tickets separately, not as part of AI. Neither the experience close to AI, the Maharaja points also don’t get awarded despite Express being part of AI.

The plane was very dated with the worst entertainment system i have seen in 30 years. Flight attendants were responsive.

Very old aircraft. Business class seats don’t work right. No way to get out my tray table. Crew didn’t seem surprised about the aircraft and didn’t have any real answers. Old 777 seems to not have been updated ever.

I reached the check in counter 1 hour before take off and was denied boarding because the luggage could no longer be transferred to the flight. I was aback when throughout the world(including India) for a domestic flight, you need to report 1 hour before boarding. Then on top of that i was made to buy a brand new ticket. I had paid $350 for a business ticket between delhi and mumbai and then was made to buy another economy ticket for $100, No concessions/discounts were made for the airline's own inefficiency! The reservation counter was also extremely rude and unapologetic about making me pay a second time. For such a mediocre airline, there seems to be zero focus on providing good service to their customers and providing a pleasant experience.
