Pros: "Not often do you feel like you really "welcomed aboard." This was not the case on our flights to and from Calgary. The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. That was refreshing. I did like the Westjet Connect feature. You don't have a TV screen in the back of each seat. You download the app and you get to watch TV, Movies, News all on your own device for free. A nice plus is that you can change all your devices with USB power port at each seats you never run out of a charge."

I was surprised by the amount of leg room on affiliated Jet Blue aircraft. I'm 6'1" and had plenty of leg room. Flight was quick and baggage pickup quick.

Even though this flight is almost 5 hours (4 hours, 50 min) and 2100 miles, all that is offered for food are packages of Biscoff cookies. Best bring your own, nothing else is offered, not even for sale.

Sat on the plane for hours only to Have the pilot time out and walk off the plane. Back up pilot showed up and the flight was canceled. No other flights to get me to My destination for 3 days. My luggage was still sent to my destination even though the flight was cancelled. Very bad experience with American Airline and I will do everything I can to never fly American Airlines again

Others on this flight and on my later Iberia flight were cursing AA loudly so I don't think my issue is an anomaly, but is more likely AA's new standard of conduct."

And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""

Then I had to rush to catch the flight and missed any opportunity to have a decent lunch between flights. Then there was no food offered on the AA flight to Dallas."

My seat was broken, there was no entertainment available on the monitors, and the planes seem to be broken. I upgraded specifically to gain the entertainment center and it was not functioning. Total disaster.

THEY WERE DELAYED BY 2 HOURS, THUS CAUSING ME TO MISS MY FLIGHTS! TERRIBLE DAY! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

This airline refused my boarding based on an error they made on my return flight ticket, leaving me running around the airport for 8 hours trying to resolve their mistake, and stranded overnight - meaning that I had to find a hotel, etc. Then they booked me on another airline that didn't have the seat I paid for, placing me in a seat I could not possibly fit in. As a result, I spent the duration of the flight, which was about 8 hours sitting in the bathroom on the toilet lid. Fortunately, it was clean! To add insult to injury, that airline only delivered my luggage to me two days later and it was missing my laptop!

Departure delayed by around 3 hours due to crew absence linked to coronavirus. Can't be helped but BAs offer of refreshment was only available prior to check in which is completely useless to those that arrive and pass through security and border control early.

Great, but I was annoyed and upset that she did not warn me that it was a front seat, with now place to put my personal bag. The wife of the guy next to me was 10 seats away, so I found an isle seat at the back of the aircraft and moved, so she could be with her husband. It all worked out okay, but the agent should have been more informative and have offered the option of that rear seat. It's not nice to be sneaky."

Cons: "I boarded the plane and made a mistake by sitting in the wrong seat and placed my hang-up bag in the overhead compartment. When I realized that my actual seat was 10 rows back on the very last row, I moved, leaving my hang-up bag near the first seat. As time passed, I heard a woman on the intercom say something about a lost "jumper". After learning that a "jumper" is a sweater, I asked the nearby airline attendant if the sweater was a navy color, like the one that I had left in the overhead. A female airline attendant came to me, carrying my hang-up bag with my sweater and repeated 4 times that I was lucky because she was about to put my "jumper" and hangup-bag off the plane and leave it in Johannesburg since no one had responded sooner!!!! I was so stunned that I could not say anything. I only kept wondering why would anyone go into the overhead and start pulling things out? Why would someone take such extreme measures and not walk down the aisle, asking every person on the plane, including the people on the back row? This type of thing could happen to anyone. Since I did not have a name tag on the bag and I live in the US, it would have been near impossible to ever find my bag again if left in So.Africa! Plus, the woman went on and on in a very rude & condescending manor when all I could do was sit in shock, wondering why she would take the time to go through the overhead and look for a hang-up bag that does not have a name tag!!!!"

Water for purchase???Are you kidding me? That was the worst surprise! What a shame, British Airways! Now you are one of the inhumane airlines! I will tell THE WORLD about that ridiculous fact! And not even extra small packages of snacks?! Now my favorite airline becomes Delta. There was no entertainment of any kind. There were no air vents above our seats (row 20 in that Airbus) and it got really hot before we were airborne."

The aircraft was packed full, not even water was offered without charge, the service even at that was barely fast enough to make one pass of the passengers before landing, the aisles were continually blocked with service carts selling so how are you supposed to make a bathroom break?"

However, when my confirmation email and e-ticket came in, they were issued by Budgetair.com. I had no experience with them and took it to be a reliable website since they were working with Kayak. However, I had to change/cancel my flight because of delayed passport delivery, and this is when everything turned very Ugly! I had to spend an hour over the phone to get connected to an agent with BudgetAir, who disconnected the line within 2 minutes saying: “please hold so I can pull up your information”. This game went on for 6 hours. I tried to connect with the airline directly to make the change, which was not possible since Budgetair had placed a restriction on this ticket. After 6-7 hours, which meant no work for me or lunch because I was sitting behind my desk with a phone on my hand, I got through an agent who was rude and impolite. He took 15 minutes to find flights for the new dates (I did it in 2 minutes on their website), and then told me to pay $315 in extra fess. When I inquired that the prices on your website for the exact same ticket is way cheaper than my original ticket price, he got angry and aggressive. Basically implying that I have no choice to take their offer as is, or let go of my original ticket price of over $2000. Long story short, DO NOT buy from BudgetAir if you like having a peace of mind!"

Our party of four had our luggage spread through THREE different planes. WTH? No customer service at DTW once we arrived and there were so many livid people. Absolutely awful. We were supposed to arrive at 5PM and it's now 3:11AM. My son just completed filing a luggage claim loss. And we are off to drive home to Grand Rapids two hours away. Nightmare."

After a delay we had a short amount of time to get to the next flight. We literally were told to just cross the parking lot. Well... that ended up being a 25 minute run across the airport to only have to go thru security again. After navigating construction and parking structures we got to our gate 10 minutes late and would not be let on the flight. There was zero communication, sympathy or help from the United Airlines staff. We were told it was not their problem because we came in through Air Canada- BUT we booked through United! All in all it was an absolute nightmare that ended in us renting a car at 12am and driving back to San Diego with zero compensation from United Airlines"

Flights were twice cancelled by United resulting in 2 days delay arriving at destination. Lateness of notification resulted in repeating COVID tests. All flights once i did managed to fly were late by about an hour. No device charges provided in economy class (standard with most airlines).

( 2.5 hr flight) once finally made it to Denver was informed that we missed connecting flight to Boston. We were then informed since it’s for “weather” reasons earlier in the day that caused a sequence of delays they couldn’t accommodate us for hotel. We were given two “blankets” which were as thin as a sheet and each one bottle of water. Some other people around us received good voucherS. We did not. We walked around the airport for close to an hour looking for anyplace we could lay down and sleep. None were to be found. We tried to sleep on the floor but was so cold and uncomfortable I literally got sick to my stomach. Another fun thing added to mix. We were placed on another flight as 6 the next morning. After no sleeping at all we boarded our next flight Which was not a direct flight to Boston but would be from Denver to Newark then Newark to Boston. We were suppose to originally land in Boston at 0600 Monday. Instead we arrived at 1430 after getting zero sleep. My husband and I were also unable to sit together which was extra special for people around me because after not sleeping I continued to be sick to my stomach."

It wasn’t a problem for me but if you only have a Visa debit card and want to pay for checked bags online, this is not possible to do online prior to checking in. You also can’t check in to your flight as you would normally, you get the last available seats and have to pay for any seat changes. All in all, I’d still book through Kayak but I’d make sure that the flight I booked was through the company that operates the flights. It’s will give you more options when checking in to the flight."

On the trip to Calgary my flights were delayed, I was denied boarding or the flight was canceled. It took me 3 days to get to my destination and this happened after I arrived 4 hours in advance for every flight, but the first one. I did everything I could in my power, but my best was not good enough. And so when my rental car broke down two hours before my departure, and I failed to start it, I took a cab to YYC and hoped for the best. And United didn't disappoint. They listened to me, respected me and tried to help me as much as they could. My leg cramped and I was not able to cross the hallway to the flight, just as the boarding was starting. The board agents called the wheelchair, walked over to me and tried to calm me down, just as they were wrapping up boarding. They then checked my luggage and held me by the hand all the way to the airplane,"
Cons: "Once again, the agents did the best they could given a set of highly unusual circumstances. Yet the flight was one hour late for a very predictable reason. In the winter it snows in Calgary. You have to de-ice the plane. This takes time. Yet, the airline treated snow as emergency and didn't allow time for that. One hour delay stressed a lot of people out and canceled their plans. Do allow for more time for travel in the winter. It is cost effective and leaves customers happier."

Pros: "Nothing about 9 HOURS in an Airport is great! I walked from where I landed coming from Calgary, to terminal 2 Gate F 17 because that was where the flight to Lexington was to leave from. Then I got notice it was leaving from terminal 1 Gate B 24 so (I'm sure I walked a mile there) to get there. Waited for a number of hours checked my phone and found the departure was back again at terminal 1 Gate F 17!?!?! So I walked another mile back to where I started. At no point was I offered a drink or meal voucher for the 9 hour delay/inconvenience in my flight to Lexington ky. Suffice to say that I will NEVER go on any flight if I have to go back through this airport. I also have horrible knees, which all the walking did not help."

Not that I am a world traveler; but this airport could take more than a page from Calgary international in terms of support to those with disabilities. I will NEVER and I do mean NEVER go through something like this again. I expected to be home in Lexington at 5:00pm and did NOT arrive until midnight.??!! This is in my opinion quite unacceptable! We went through customs on the second leg of the flight with barely enough time to get through customs and then back through security at the Calgary airport. Our flight had been unilaterally changed by the airline due to too tight a connection but the new flight (much less convenient, had to get up at 3:00 am) was as bad or worse. We would have missed our connecting flight if it had not been delayed due to weather at our destination."
