Top tips for finding cheap flights to Taiwan

  • Calgary International Airport (YYC) is a hub for Air Canada, and that should make it relatively easy for you to find flights from Calgary to Taiwan on Air Canada flights. Other airlines have flights departing from YYC that travel to Taiwan, as well, such as American Airlines, China Airlines, and United Airlines. It would be worth exploring them as potential options for flights.
  • Prior to picking which airline you'd like to use to fly from Calgary to Taiwan, you should decide which airport in Taiwan you need to travel to. Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is a great choice for those traveling to the northern part of Taiwan, like the capital city of Taipei, while Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) is a much smaller airport in comparison that might also be a good choice for some travelers.
  • Flying from Calgary to Taiwan will require you to make at least one stop, but certain airlines might also ask you to make more than one stop, in some cases. This may extend your travel time to well over 30 hours. By catching a one-stop flight through an airline like China Airlines, you can reduce your travel time to under 20 hours.
  • No matter how many stops you make while en route to Taiwan, you're going to spend a fair share of time in the air. You may want to consider flying first class to remain comfortable. Airlines like American Airlines and China Airlines have first-class sections, featuring comfortable lie-flat seats and extensive dining and entertainment options that will make your flights more pleasant overall.
  • You'll need to arrive about 3 hours early for a flight from Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Taiwan. Fortunately, YYC has plenty of lounges you can use to relax while waiting for your flight. There is an Air Canada Lounge reserved for Air Canada passengers, a general Aspire Lounge that's open to all international passengers, and other options.

Overall, very uneventful and pleasant experience. Most importantly, no delays.

The flight crews were extremely professional helpful and courteous. Departure and arrival times were accurate. No delay. Thanks

The flight crews were extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. Departure and arrival times were accurate. No delay. I will use K airline again. Thanks

I enjoyed flying on Korean Air. The service was great and the food was yummy. They served white fish.

Crew was ok, but some passengers were a bit rude. Again, all outlets were not working, only the really slow charging usb plug on the entertainment system. Entertainment system was also bugged, some features just crash, the touch screen wasn't working and when trying to watch a movie the onscreen display kept flashing off and on making it very difficult to watch.

Great crew, decent food Charging plugs were broken on both seats next to me. Only the USB port was available, and that charges, very, very slowly. Seat was also broken, it would not lock into position when reclining.

New plane. Perfect gluten free meal Very flawless procedures from check-in to the landing. Taking off on time and landing even earlier and the luggages are already there after shortest arrival report.

It was ok. Not good and not a bad experience

I flew Asiana Air not Korean Air which was my original flight. So, I have no say about Korean Airlines right now. I hope you guys will not make any changes of my flight on Feb 15th. I want to fly Korean Air on Feb 15th. and make sure it is the same flightr njumber for my husband also and do not make any changes on either flights. thank you for reading my letter.

You did not put me on a Korean Air flight! so I do not have nothing to say

On time. Great service. Good food. Good movies. All good!

The flight was ok. The person who brings tea and coffee totally forgot about us or just walked past at both meals. And special attention is given if you are Taiwanese

Everything was excellent service was good.Only one problem my trip san francisco to tapie was good but the Taipe to HongKong we change gate 3times a lot of walking n everyone has to rush around from gate to gate.By the time to board our flight i felt soo sick from running from one gate to another. That was the only problem i face

A wonderful new plane. Great menu. Professional service. You and your wife were completely satisfied.

Fast and efficient boarding. Flight was on time. Service was very good for our long flight. First time flying with this airline and I would highly recommend.

Eva Air's Business Class is pretty decent. With the given price, I think that the food can be better.

Pleasant, comfortable, and entertaining. All told, ZERO issues with it. And sadly, so far the flight was WAY more comfortable than the hellhole that is "Lambug Beach Resort" at Badian Beach!

Great food in business class. Great service by staff. They were all so very nice

It was a pleasant fly with Eva Air from NYC to Taipei. The crew were friendly and the food was exceeded my expectation.

Poor food on board, but seats are too small and uncomfortable

Very good , the weather was terrible, but i admired the professionality and politeness and care from the crew, and the excellent contition of the plane

My flight to Los Angeles was canceled Had to book another flight and you charged me extra $500 Very bad experience

Decent flight, staff was very good, especially with the turbulence during the flight due to weather. Comfort was about par with other airlines but since it was a quick flight, was not much of an issue for us.

It was a 2 hour flight to Taiwan. Lunch was served. China Airlines goes above and beyond for their passengers.

They were helpful, considerate with asking us for standby preboarding with our infant, gave us toys and excellent service onboard. They were always on time, even early boarding once! All our luggage arrived intact, and they even brought our baby car seat to oversized for us. We love China Airlines!

Great flight, although I flew out of ONT and that is where my car is, lol

Free Wi-Fi could have been better in the Airport.

3 of the 4 flights had delays despite the weather being fine, but still managed to make all connections

Ask flight attendant for water during flight and she was a little rude get the water.

Baggage made it successfully to destination despite short layover. Appreciate that.

It was good! Appreciated that it was very on schedule so it made the connecting flight less stressful

Two flights, both poor. No entertainment. Cramped and uncomfortable seats, little space, the rest was OK. Staff were acceptable good.

The crew was doing their best on an old plane needing updating. Chairs that creaked and wouldn’t stay in position. My tray table was unusable as was on-board entertainment due the audio needing usb earphones (that were not provided). Prior to boarding in Toronto and despite being scheduled for a wheelchair and assistance, we were dropped off by clubcar without a wheelchair which I found myself by a gate. Due to no boarding gate assigned at that time we waited and when it was, it subsequently was moved from 64 to 95. No help could be found so I pushed my husband’s chair to that furthest gate in the airport at the highest speed possible for a 73 year old. And by that I mean I ran. It was a very stressful experience.

Wifi wasn't working on one of the UA flights after boarding.

Leg room was lacking. Legs crammed into seat in front.

T hey did a great job. Flight was on time .

the plane was old. the wifi didn’t work. the entertainment was boring and dated. the charging ports were impossible to find. i was mostly ignored by flight attendants that had no problem speaking to the man beside me. i got two drinks the entire time i was on the plane.

Crew was not very helpful. They forgot to serve me coffee and had to wait for a long time.It looked as if they were not very happy with what they were doing.

The flight I was connecting with waited for me even though my 1st flight was late. I really appreciated that.

The seat is too hard and my back and bottom are having servers pain

It was overall above average experience. If there is only one thing i could complain about was the lack of wifi availability on my flight from Vancouver to San Francisco

Not much food available, not able to choose seats to be near each other, tv did not work

I think Air Canada is the only airline I've flown where they don't give you at least a free cookie.

All but one of four were on time. One was delayed for an hour

Got the email to check in but when I tried to check in it said "cannot connect to server", so checked in at the desk.

It took 5 hour to get a crew to D Ice the plan. We had to sit on the runway for 5 hrs. in Calgary. It snows most of the winter. No proactive plan. In addition, after 3 calls to customer service they couldn't figure out how to have my wife and myself sit together on her birthday weekend. Everybody kept passing the buck. No decision from customer service, luggage drop off or check in team. The experience was a complete mess! I don't think we'll ever fly on this airline again.

my flight from Toronto to Chicago was horrible. we tried to land 3 times, couldn't. they went to Milwaukee & sat on the plane/runway for another 1.5 hours. then they flew us back to Toronto. we had to stay overnight. the communication was bad. just told us to wait for an email update. no credit, no voucher for my additional night in a hotel. nothing. I will not fly air Canada again.

The wifi I paid for did not work. The seats are tight.

The seats werr comfortable Would like a better snack that a tiny bag of pretzels

There were no free snacks…little pretzel bag or cookies like we had on our flight out.
