Pros: "I flew through Vancouver from Boston on my way to Brisbane, Australia and back. I was nervous at first because of the 2 hour connection windows. This might be a testament to Vancouver Airport more than Air Canada. The entertainment was ok. It had a decent variety to select from but i only ended up watch a few things and entertaining myself or sleeping. I paid to sit in an exit aisle as I only had middle seats to select from. It was worth paying for the freedom to stretch your legs and get up anytime without disrupting your row."
Cons: "The food was ok, I personally wish the drink cart came by more often so I didn't feel rude asking the air hostess each time. They were always very accommodating though."
Pros: "It flew from point a to b safely"
Cons: "Last time I saw a similar cabin was when I was 10! I'm 37 now. The overhead baggage bins were made for small bags from a different century. seats were grey....grey. In flight entertainment was by app...that you have to download first, I should have known beforehand. Food was little munchies. Seemed like an old and tired airline"
Pros: "Great service from the staff and crew. Comfortable flight in every conceivable aspect!"
Cons: "No TV"
Pros: "The crew were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The screens in front of the seats didn't work for everyone. They attempted to fix the system by restarting it, but the problem remained unfixed."
Pros: "Everything was great"
Pros: "The flight was comfortable over all. It was on time. The staff was pleasant."
Cons: "It was hard to connect our computer to the movies. It was rather confusing and eventually we came to the conclusion that there were only 2 films that were compatible with our laptops. They were the unrated films from film festivals."
Pros: "Nice plane."
Cons: "WAY too hot."
Cons: "Took forever to board"
Pros: "Not much to compliment on. The flight did offer a great selection of movies to choose from during the trip."
Cons: "Constant flight delays. We were left on the runway for two hours before taking off due to an issue with the laboratory. The plane was overpacked, not allowing much personal space even in the aisle seat. People were sleeping on the floor and some in the aisles, creating a tripping hazard to those wanting to stand and stretch or walk to the restrooms. Those who attempted to sleep in their seat found that the seats were very uncomfortable and had very little to no leg room. When it came time to land at our destination, we ended up having to circle the airport for an additional 35 mins waiting for the terminal to free up. It was a very long 10hr flight that even the nice selection of movies to choose from couldn't help. Terrible flight experience, Canadian Air has really gone down hill."
Pros: "Long wait for ticketing and at customs during transfer"
Cons: "No wifi"
Pros: "service is good"
Cons: "2 hour delay in takeoff caused our connecting flight to miss our bags. We barely made the flight."
Pros: "Meals were good and I do like the premium economy seats."
Cons: "One issue that the premium economy seats have is that they recline button is very stiff to push. Then when you have final pushed it in then push back on the seat it falls to the full recline position, potentially surprising the passenger behind. I thought this was isolated to this flight but have now encountered in 2 subsequent flights in AC premium economy."
Pros: "The flight attendant struggled were young very helpful and nice"
Cons: "No TV on back of seats. Seats very uncomfortable"
Pros: "The flight was nice and smooth and the crew members were so nice."
Pros: "I needed a wheelchair and they were very friendly and helpful"
Pros: "Entertainment, Crew, Boarding"
Cons: "Had to pay for food"
Pros: "Got home safe"
Cons: "Meal -"
Pros: "It's been a long time since I flew Air Canada . Great flight, blanket and pillow provided - seats, movies and and a lot of snacks. Worth the money for a long flight :)"
Pros: "I liked the newer plane as the head rests were more comfortable with the movable sides."
Pros: "seat beverage flight service time"
Cons: "Not noisy kids control It can not rest during the flight"
Cons: "Entertainment system. Spacious seating for economy class."
Pros: "Airlines keep the cabin too cold. On the domestic of the travel leg blankets were for additional pay which is crazy - I understand about meals, but blankets are required only because the conditions offered by the airline are uncomfortable. One luggage was lost, but that is now almost part of travel."
Pros: "Different announcements for boarding occurred almost simultaneously, making it hard to understand what was being said."
Pros: "The plane was very new. Had a great entertainment system. Power plug ins. USB plug ins. Seats were a bit small, but when are they not?"
Cons: "They forgot to bring me dinner then when I finally got someone's attention they told me they had given away ALL the dinners. How is that even possible? In the end they gave me a first class meal so not bad."
Pros: "Other than the rude employee in Vancouver's ticket and baggage counter, I'd fly Air Canada all the time if I could. SO much better than any of the other commercial airlines."
Cons: "We had a 10 hour layover in Vancouver, which would have been fine except that we had to get our luggage and recheck it the following morning. This left us outside of security, unable to go anywhere to rest. No one expects to be comfortable when you spend the night in the airport, but this was worse. No where to sleep, no decent chairs to rest in. We weren't sure why, since our connecting flight to Seoul South Korea was also Air Canada, our luggage had to be picked up at baggage claim, held on until the following morning, then rechecked. The clerks at the Air Canada ticket and baggage counter were supposed to be opened at 9, but an incredibly rude employee snapped at me that he didn't have time to talk to me, that I'd just need to wait until 9:30 when they opened."
Pros: "Everything and I have alot if air miles under me.The flight crew was great. The aircraft was great."
Cons: "The food could have Ben a little been a little better."
Pros: "Crew was great!"
Cons: "Why is there no TV?"
Pros: "Staff was friendly, Pilot was informative"
Cons: "Seats, Trays and bathrooms were disgusting. My tray had food on it, was sticky, had coffee stains... i didnt want to use it. Bathroom was disgusting, even at begining of flight. Seat was dirty and worn out."
Pros: "The flight attendant in Business class was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, attentive, and fun. She made the trip special."
Cons: "Business were regular seats, but for such a small plane I understand."
Pros: "It was a nice flight up the coast and there were no problems"
Cons: "There was nothing that I did not like about the flight."
Cons: "Bag was given wrong tag # by check in attendant and went to wrong airport. Has been extremely hard to track down"
Pros: "The flight was excellant. Something that horizon air needs to aspire too."
Pros: "Left on time, arrived ontime, luggage made it"
Cons: "Despite having checked-in online, entered passport and global/precheck info, and used the kiosk at the airport to verofy passport, etc checking luggage was a huge inefficient mess. I've never seen this at a US airport on a US carrier."
Pros: "I really liked how updated the plane was. The wine selection was very good. The entertainment had plenty of things to do - movies and TV shows were updated. I enjoyed the ice cream, that was a very nice treat!"
Cons: "I thought the food was not as good as the flight over to the UK - the mashed potatoes didn't look or taste like it had any real components at all and the bread was a little stale."
Pros: "Great crew and good wine!"
Pros: "Nice staff. Comfortable"
Cons: "Return flight delayed. No Reason given"
Cons: "Canceled flight Toronto to vancouver BC missed our connecting flight, no option from airlines to provide accommodation or alter net transportation to final destination (Portland OR). Has to spend additional money and time traveling due to that. Supper inconveniences by it!"
Cons: "When I arrived in London my bag was not on carousel. I went to help desk to find out my bag was put on the next flight for some reason. No explanation given and no real accommodation given except telling when the flight would arrive. I guess I luckily only had to wait an hour, however it shouldn't be that way to begin with."
Cons: "As we were ready to start boarding, suddenly the desk employees announced that anyone who had done a self serve or web check in needed to come to the desk with ID. Seemed like at least 75% had done this! Also at the same time they decided to make a point about only 1 hand carry per person and probably 25% of the so called hand carry items ended up being checked in as they were far too big and never should have been allowed in the first place. A good portion of the passenger had 2 hand carry SUITCASES each. This all should have been dealt with during the waiting period - not at the 30 min mark before departure. Flight departed late as a result."
Pros: "In-flight entertainment console is pretty good"
Cons: "Departure was 40 minutes delayed right off the bat for reasons unknown and unexplained. Then, worse, mechanical trouble on the tarmack, we had to return to the gate and power down the plane, while still remaining on board, unventilated and unpleasantly sweaty, in the dark even for a while. What should have been a quick 1.5 hour flight and 8:30pm arrival thus became a sweaty 4-hour ordeal and almost 11pm arrival. Not the end of the world, but I was a bit taken aback at the absence of apologetic behaviour, like perhaps serving drinks while we're sweating on the tarmack, or heaven forbid, a meal of some sort considering we were departing later than we should have all already been home."
Pros: "Most things where fine. Slight delay in boarding but still made our connection."
Cons: "Tried to signal stewards for another beverage but got no response. Lack of customer service."
Pros: "The plane was clean and comfortable."
Cons: "It's a long flight, unless you are flying first class it's not going to be amazing."
Cons: "Much too cold, kept me from sleeping"
Pros: "From the views read I cannot say I had the same experience. Crew was helpful & kind. Flight was on time and comfortable."
Pros: "There were some pretty recent movies and some older ones that I remember watching when I was younger. Both options were good."
Cons: "Despite there being both new and older movies, there seemed to be a limited number of movies and shows. I feel like there could have been more, but it might be just me."
Pros: "Air Canada has treated me excellently every time I've flown with them. However, this connection was through United, which, on my flight to LAX, was delayed 3 hours. I should have known how this would go."
Cons: "Since this flight was delayed, I would not make my connecting flight to Tokyo. Flights with Air Canada to Tokyo were all booked that day, and several days afterward. I canceled my flight and am awaiting refund. I booked with another airline. I am severely disappointed with United's behavior. I've flown out of several countries from various airlines, and the US and US-based airlines are the only flight with consistent delays. It's honestly embarrassing. And I suppose, while I'm complaining, I'll add--as someone with a severe peanut allergy, it was important that this flight was with Air Canada, who actually cares about my safety. That I had to miss my flight and book with another, potentially dangerous airline, added to my dissatisfaction."
Cons: "International flight over 6hrs, yet food not included on flight?"
